In the Name of Propaganda: RT’s Blatantly Dishonest Propaganda Piece About Turkey, “ISIS” and that Stolen Syrian Oil

by Scott Creighton

RT has outdone themselves when it comes to their ongoing propaganda campaign in pursuit of support for the Greater Kurdistan project.

The historical revisionism present in their latest “documentary”, In the Name of the Profit. Liberated Syrian Town Reveals ISIS Oil Trade Secrets, is simply stunning. It would put CNN and all their fake “news” videos to shame.

Their video opens with a Kurdish fighter talking to RT who admits he’s been in Syria “fighting ISIS” for “4 years”. That’s pretty amazing considering the fact that “ISIS” didn’t exist until 2014 ( on June 29, 2014  to be exact). I guess we were supposed to forget that.

However, what has been going on for four years is Kurdish militants taking land and resources from the Syrian government and claiming it for themselves.

“Last month, as the Free Syrian Army took over areas of the Syrian-Turkish border, a power vacuum emerged in northeastern Syria. It was not the Free Syrian Army that filled the vacuum, but instead the Syrian Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD), the most heavily armed Kurdish faction in Syria. In early August, the Wall Street Journal reported that “Kurdish political parties and paramilitary groups have almost completely usurped the Syrian state apparatus,” taking over municipal buildings and vital infrastructure, providing security, and controlling the distribution of resources.

Although the prospects for an independent state in Syrian Kurdistan remain dim, unprecedented Kurdish autonomy will likely result from the conflict. The implications extend beyond Syria’s borders as various governments and non-state actors have strong, and often conflicting, interests in the political fate of Syria’s Kurds and the territorial integrity of the Syrian state.

Turkey, Iraq, and Iran are alarmed by the prospects for greater Kurdish autonomy in Syria, primarily due to unresolved tensions with their own Kurdish communities. On the other hand, the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) in northern Iraq, the state of Israel, and the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) in Turkey welcome a semi-autonomous Kurdish state in Syria.” Ekurd Daily, Feb. 9th, 2012

Even the US ambassador to Turkey has admitted the Kurds are ethnically cleansing areas in Syria and Turkey to serve their own needs:

The U.S. ambassador to Turkey has called on Kurdish rebels to lay down arms and end violence in Turkey.

Ambassador John Bass also said Thursday that the United States does not provide weapons to a Syrian Kurdish militia group, which is affiliated with Turkey’s outlawed Kurdistan Workers’ Party – or PKK.

Bass said Washington was sensitive to Turkey’s concerns over the Syrian Kurdish militia group and opposed any efforts by the group to change the demography of northern Syria “under the guise” of battling the Islamic State group. It was a reference to Turkish accusations that the Syrian Kurdish group is purging the area of Arabs and Turkmens. WBAL

Ethnic cleansing of Syrian areas by the Kurds “under the guise of fighting “ISIS”,”  That’s what the US ambassador to Turkey said.

And now here we have RT presenting a “documentary” lionizing the Kurds (and demonizing the Erdogan government of Turkey)  under the guise of fighting “ISIS”, saying they were the victims… and not the actual aggressors. Which they were.

AS we slide into the next stage of the Greater Kurdistan nation building exercise, RT has become the greatest disinformation site on the planet (aside from Prison Planet perhaps)

True Believer: The Story of Toby Lopez, the Forrest Gump Who Shook the World of Deep State Politics

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: After communicating with him briefly, Toby has posted some more Tweets about his case. They are included at the end of the article. They should make his motivation a little clearer.

If you take his Tweets at face value, Toby Lopez was a true believer. He believed every bullshit propaganda story they put before him. He believed the fake “ISIS™” beheading videos. He believed Mike Brown deserved to get shot from behind while running away. He believed in the rightness of Joe Biden’s justification to send troops back into Iraq after we had finally got them out of there. He believed it all.

And in the end, he believed he was negotiating with a big-time “ISIS™” leader whom he made contact with on Twitter (of all things) and that he, a car salesman from Wyoming, Del, was capable of playing a staring role in securing the release of an American hostage, if only the Feds would believe him.

Quite by accident, Mr. Lopez exposed a couple rather interesting truths about the propaganda campaign known as “ISIS™” and even threatened to inadvertently reveal all of it, but he was too much of a believer to understand what he had stumbled upon.

In many ways, Toby Lopez turned out to be a modern day Forrest Gump. He had it all right there in front of him but he couldn’t see the forest for the trees.

In the end, authorities considered him a loose cannon armed with a deadly truth he was unfortunately too naive to understand himself. But his threats to go public with it all made him a problem that had to be solved.

So on Feb. 11th, 2015, Toby Lopez was arrested at his mother’s home where he lived and spent the next 14 months being shuttled from one federal institution to another until he was finally released late last month.

After all that, judging from his latest Tweets since his release, Toby still doesn’t get it. Not entirely.

But his story is fascinating for those of us who do. Sure, he was an accidental tourist tinkering in the clockwork of the biggest propaganda campaign of the time but he came closer to exposing the US Special Operations irregular warfare “hearts and minds” project that is Kurd “ISIS™” than any of us independent journalists out here, even if no one else noticed other than the Feds who whisked him away and locked him up for 14 months in order to get him to shut up before he dumped a real turd in the punch-bowl.

Though this is his story, it’s also a cautionary tale for all of us about meddling in affairs way above your pay-grade.

“ISIS™” Bombs Turkey So We Naturally Start a Petition to Kick Them Out of NATO… (but of course we do)

by Scott Creighton

(see updates at end of article)

Thanks to Penny, I found a nifty little article over at Washington’s Blog, which is supposed to be an anti-war, anti-globalization, anti-regime change website run by an independent alternative journalist. Of course, it isn’t. It’s pure Cass Sunstein cognitive infiltration of the movement and this article demonstrates that fact perfectly.

In the article, the author “Washington’s Blog” (ah, no real name once again), makes the argument that we have to kick Turkey out of NATO because they are responsible for everything that the CIA and the US has been doing inside Syria from Obama’s chemical weapons false flag to arming and directing the thing called “ISIS™”

(It. They. He.) even links to a Change.org petition asking (it’s, their, his) readership to rush over there and sign the “Kick Turkey out of NATO” screed because Erdogan arrests Gulen-linked CIA-backed regime change centered “journalists” in Turkey who have been actively promoting violence against the newly elected government in the country.

It’s so obvious, Washington’s Blog even screeches about how a VICE reporter got arrested in Turkey. VICE? Folks… really? VICE? Yes, VICE is CIA folks and Washington’s Blog wants us to vote to kick Turkey out of NATO because they arrested a CIA Mockingbird destabilizing their country. That’s Washington’s Blog.

The petition itself is very short so I will post it’s text in it’s entirety so you can CLEARLY SEE what it is all about: defending “ISIS™” and the OTHER terrorist organizations, the PKK and the YPG .

Greater Kurdistan: Chris Ernesto and St. Pete for Peace Shillin for Regime Change in Turkey, Supporting New Freedom Fighters, the Kurds

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: On the SPFP Twitter feed which Ernesto runs, there is a promoted Tweet announcing VICELAND… a new TV channel from Soros’ VICE news propaganda outlet. What a shock.

—-

I received an email this morning and have been responding to it pretty much all day. It was that offensive to me.

It was offensive because it came from St. Pete for Peace and included these words:

Turkey & Saudi Arabia: Two causes of the war in Syria
Wednesday, March 2, 7pm, Community Cafe, 2444 Central Ave.
Using ISIS, al-Qaeda & mercenaries, Turkey and Saudi Arabia are two of the countries trying to overthrow the Assad government in Syria. Even Joe Biden admitted as much (this part is incredible).

Apparently Chris Ernesto, a guy who looks like he’s trying to be Robert Downey Jr. in Iron Man with a woven purse (don’t ask what that’s all about) has made a 59 minute documentary for Youtube and is holding a special screening of his masterpiece at the Community Cafe tomorrow night. He’s going to impress his fellow “antiwar” activists in St. Pete with his master level editing and research skills to help everyone over there come to understand who’s really at fault for the 5 year regime change operation in Syria… Recep Erdogan.

Notice the “incredible” part of his click-bait tagline: “even Joe Biden admitted as much”

At first when I received the email, I thought the guy was talking about a recent regime change supporting video from Robert Greenwald. He’s been making them since Obama took over and I don’t he’s seen a regime change op since he didn’t support. So I replied to Mr. Stark wannabe angrily telling him to stop supporting obvious regime change propaganda because all they are trying to do is drum up support for removing Erdogan so they can bust off a piece of Turkey to go with Iraqi Kurdistan and Syrian Kurdistan to make Greater Kurdistan.

I wasn’t very pleasant when I wrote it and profanities laced my reply but that happens when a supposedly antiwar peace group sends me shit in support of yet another fucking regime change operation. I tend to get a little pissed off about that, especially since they know my website and should know better than send that shit to me.

Anyway, turns out, Iron Man Ernesto up there wasn’t sending me an invite to a Robert Greenwald “Brave New Propaganda” film… he was sending me an invite to his own work. Which is actually much worse.

State Department Vows to Continue Supporting Kurdish Terrorists as they Declared War on Turkey Just Days Before Bombing (video)

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: The first Youtube source of the video deleted it. So someone at Daily Sabah created another Youtube account and reposted it there. It will probably be forced down again by Youtube even though there is no violence in the video. I have posted that new version.

—-

If history has taught us anything, it’s taught us that the last thing you want to do is get between Washington and it’s darling “freedom fighters” no matter who you have in the White House. Just ask Bernie Sanders about that. He knows better than to do that. He’ll tell you. Then he’ll tell you to “shut up” like he told that woman who was asking him about Israel, the 500 dead Palestinian children and operation Protective Edge.

The terrorist organization PKK and the Syrian People’s Protection Units (YPG) have openly declared war against Turkey and apparently they have already begun waging that war on Turkey, if the attack on Ankara the other day was in fact perpetrated by them. At least there is as much evidence suggesting they did it as there was concerning 9/11 and al Qaeda (wink wink).

Therefore that should be enough for the US to acquiesce to Turkey’s request to stop supporting the Kurdish terrorist groups, right? After all, they are fellow NATO members as well as fellow Coalition of the Willing members in the fight against Assad “ISIS”, right? Doesn’t NATO have a clause about an attack against one is an attack against all? Isn’t that basically the core component of the Coalition of the Willing? So one would think it should be pretty cut and dry.

Well, guess again:

US needs boots on the ground to ‘occupy & govern’ Syrian territories – Air Force secretary

from RT

Washington needs “boots on the ground” in Syria in addition to its air campaign against ISIS, which is not fruitful despite some progress. US Air Force secretary has admitted that “ground forces” is a must in order to “occupy” and “govern” parts of Syria.

In her comments, Secretary Deborah Lee James stressed the importance of the US-led air campaign, but admitted that airstrikes need to be backed by ground forces.

“Air power is extremely important. It can do a lot but it can’t do everything,” James said, just two days after Secretary of Defense Ash Carter supported President Obama’s “willingness to do more” in terms of US troops on Syrian ground.

“Ultimately it cannot occupy territory and very importantly it cannot govern territory,” James told reporters at the Dubai Airshow. “This is where we need to have boots on the ground. We do need to have ground forces in this campaign.”

When it comes to support, the US should assist the “Iraqi army, the Free Syrians and the Kurds in the fight against Islamic State (IS, also known as ISIS or ISIL), James said.
