Trump Killed the TPP? Bullshit

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: Cenk Uygur praised Trump for “killing” the TPP Monday. He kept citing a New York Times article during his video.

May 2012

Folks are all a tither about Donald Trump signing an executive order yesterday saying the US is no longer ready to sign the Trans Pacific Partnership (or TPP) with 11 other nations in the Asia Pacific and Mexico. This is supposedly some sign that Trump is going to keep at least some of his campaign promises and stand with the workers of this country.

Bullshit.

As Trump Surges in Polls, “Russian Election Hacking” Story Serves as Pretext to Cover Massive Election Fraud in November

by Scott Creighton

As Donald Trump starts surging again in the national polls, suddenly and without any real evidence to support the claims, the press is parroting an FBI report that the Russians are hacking our election systems and essentially wiping voters off the registration lists.

“I’m less concerned about the attackers getting access to and downloading the information. I’m more concerned about the information being altered, modified or deleted. That’s where the real potential is for any sort of meddling in the election,” said Brian Kalkin, vice president of operations for the Center for Internet Security,“…

James R. Clapper Jr., the director of national intelligence, has told Congress that manipulation or deletion of data is the next big cyberthreat — “the next push on the envelope.” Washington Post

For those of you who don’t recall, Hillary Clinton stole the Democratic Party nomination via a number of illegal election rigging techniques, one of which was by purging hundreds of thousands of voters from the registration lists who were likely to vote for Bernie Sanders.

In California, the DNC purge of likely Sanders voters resulted in hundreds of thousands of his supporters having to fill out a provisional ballot, which of course, wasn’t counted… resulting in Hillary’s “victory” in a state where her rallies drew 500 people while his, 50,000.

Oddly enough:

“Until now, countries such as Russia and China have shown little interest in voting systems in the United States. But experts said that if a foreign government gained the ability to tamper with voter data — for instance by deleting registration recordssuch a hack could cast doubt on the legitimacy of U.S. elections...

For example, if a voter’s name were deleted and did not show up on the precinct list, the individual could still cast a provisional ballot, Hicks said. Once the voter’s status was confirmed, the ballot would be counted.” Washington Post

Some estimate up to a million provisional ballots were illegally shredded before they were counted by the DNC just after the California primary.

Thousands rally against TTIP, US corporate rule, GMO & wars in Rome (VIDEO)

Tens of thousands came out in the capital of Italy to decry the secretive Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) deal between the EU and the United States, which protesters believe would push Europe into corporate slavery.

#ImWithHerAndDickCheney : The Republicans for Hillary Movement is Growing

by Scott Creighton

Yesterday I wrote since The Donald has become the presumptive nominee of the Grand Old Party for Grandiose Old White Guys, suddenly there were an awful lot of their party members deciding to jump on the Hillary bandwagon.

That trend has grown (groan?) in the last 24 hours.

Mark Salter, a former speechwriter for John McCain, tweeted support for Clinton Tuesday after Trump peddled an unsubstantiated story by the National Enquirer linking Cruz’s father, Raphael Cruz, to John F. Kennedy’s assassination.  In an email to MSNBC, Salter said he considered Clinton “the more conservative choice and the least reckless one.” ”

Jamie Weinstein, senior editor at Tucker Carlson’s conservative news website Daily Caller also suggested he’d support Clinton over Trump, writing an op-ed Wednesday titled, “Hillary Is Preferable To Trump Just Like Malaria Is Preferable To Ebola.””Malaria is curable”

“And in an essay for the Federalist, staunch conservative (and five-time undefeated “Jeopardy” champion) Tom Nichols explained his rationale for supporting Clinton over TrumpAlter Net

Aside from the fact that Hillary is more conservative that the image that Donald Trump is currently projecting, the strategy here is that of the old Hamilton rule which is the same idea many of us had back in 2008 and 2012 when we figured out now President Obama was a neoliberal in liberal clothing.

Frankly, since it’s pretty much a given that the DNC will continue to rig the primaries and install Hillary as the nominee, I would much rather see Donald Trump as the winner in November than her. And it’s very much because of this idea.

TTIP risks to health & environment, ‘US pressure on EU’ revealed in secret docs leaked by Greenpeace

from RT (read leaked TTIP papers at ttip-leaks.org  )

The controversial trade deal between the EU and the US could affect public health, people’s rights, internet privacy and the environment badly, Greenpeace says, citing leaked negotiation texts. The US is pressuring the EU over the deal, a report on the texts alleges.

The 248 pages of classified negotiation papers on The Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) were released by Greenpeace Netherlands on Monday.

“This treaty is threatening to have far-reaching implications for the environment and the lives of more than 800 million citizens in the EU and US,” a Greenpeace statement says.

The TTIP is “about a huge transfer of power from people to big business,” according to the group.

Thousands rally in Hannover against TTIP trade deal a day before Obama’s visit (news and video)

from RT

Thousands of protesters have come out onto the streets of Hannover to say ‘No’ to the controversial TTIP US-EU trade deal. Many in Germany fear it will reduce consumer protection and undermine workers’ protection.

While the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) between the US and Europe is set to create the world’s largest free trade zone, many Europeans worry that the agreement would elevate corporate interest above national interest. TTIP opponents say that cheaper goods and services would only hurt the EU and help the US…
