President Trump’s Mouthpiece at UN Demands Russia Force Crimeans Back into the Hands of the Brutal Neo-Nazi Government of Ukraine

by Scott Creighton

Yesterday, President Trump’s UN Ambassador Nikki Haley said “Crimea is part of Ukraine. Our Crimea-related sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control over the peninsula to Ukraine,”

“She added that her country was seeking to improve relations with Moscow, at the same time asserting that Crimea’s reunification with Russia was “aggression,” “occupation” and “military intervention.” TASS

The people of Crimea and Sevastopol held a referendum on March 6th, 2014 in which over 80% of the voting age populations turned out and it resulted in over 90% of the votes in both areas were to rejoin the Russian Federation and get away from the brutality of the new, neo-Nazi, Obama created government in Ukraine.

The revisionist historians claim Russia “invaded and occupied” Crimea prior to the referendum. This is an old lie that was thoroughly debunked years ago but still persists today, unfortunately. And apparently it is now being repeated by the Trump administration of “CHANGE” (sound familiar?)

Ukraine – Coup Government Tries To Sabotage U.S.-Russia Rapprochement

from Moon of Alabama

Fighting in east Ukraine has restarted. This is an attempt by “deep state” forces to prevent any rapprochement between the U.S. and Russia under the new Trump administration.

The west-Ukrainian forces under command of the coup government of President Poroshenko started a large attack against the Russian supported Ukrainian self-defense forces in Donetsk and Lugansk governate.

A ceasefire arranged after the Minsk II agreement provided for demilitarized zones along a line of separation. The Ukrainian government has so far avoided to fulfill the Minsk II agreement that would allow a reuniting of the country. An OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM), which includes officers from NATO countries as well as Russia, is supervising the ceasefire and issues daily reports.

On January 26 the SMM reported:

The SMM recorded more ceasefire violations [1] in Donetsk region, including about 420 explosions, compared with 228 in the previous reporting period. More than 160 explosions were recorded around the Svitlodarsk area, with exchanges of fire also recorded around Avdiivka and Yasynuvata.

The Mission revisited a Ukrainian Armed Forces permanent storage site, whose location corresponded with the relevant withdrawal lines and observed that 12 tanks (T-64) and four mortars (2B9 Vasilek, 82mm) were missing, as previously noted.

The SMM followed up on reports of a blockade of a railway track near government-controlled Hirske. The railway leads towards the “LPR”-controlled settlements of Donetskyi and Sentianivka (formerly Frunze) (49 and 44km west of Luhansk, respectively). The Mission had observed a train travelling east through Donetskyi on 23 January. The SMM observed that the tracks had been blocked by tree trunks under a bridge on the southern edge of the settlement. About 20 unarmed men wearing camouflage clothing told the Mission that they were veterans from former volunteer battalions. The SMM observed a tent near the blockade site.

The observations on the 26th pointed to the preparation of a full attack which was launched on January 28:

The SMM recorded fewer ceasefire violations in Donetsk region between the evenings of 27 and 28 January compared with the previous reporting period (including about 330 explosions compared with about 520).[1] In the following 24 hours, however, the SMM recorded over 2,300 explosions, primarily in the Avdiivka-Yasynuvata-Donetsk airport area.

The SMM observed that the intense artillery barrage was launched north to south originating from the government held area.

The NAZI volunteer battalions from west-Ukrainian Galicia are spearheading the attack. There is ongoing fighting with intense artillery usage on several points along the ceasefire line (map). One main battle ground is the city of Avdeevka in the demilitarized zone north-west of Donetzk city…

The New York Times Publishes More Lies About Ukraine in Baseless Hit-piece Against Donald Trump

by Scott Creighton

though they have yet to determine if he actually received the cash…” New York Times McCarthism Hit-piece on Donald Trump

It’s not listed as an opinion piece or even satire. It’s supposed to be news. All the news that’s fit to fabricate from the New York Times.

OBAMA 2

This allegation that Donald Trump’s campaign chair Paul Manafort took money to the tune of 12+ million bucks in illegal payments from President Viktor F. Yanukovych in Ukraine is ridiculous on it’s surface. When you dig a little deeper in the New York Times article (penned by ) what you find is a ludicrous counter-attack to Hillary’s own political corruption story, one designed to steal the headlines and relegate the story of her all-too-real systemic graft to the back pages.

“Handwritten ledgers show $12.7 million in undisclosed cash payments designated for Mr. Manafort from Mr. Yanukovych’s pro-Russian political party from 2007 to 2012, according to Ukraine’s newly formed National Anti-Corruption Bureau. Investigators assert that the disbursements were part of an illegal off-the-books system whose recipients also included election officials.” New York Times

Viktor Yanukovych was ousted in a U.S.-backed coup a couple years ago when the people of his country decided they didn’t want to be a part of the E.U. and the masters of the universe said that wasn’t to be allowed, like George Soros (see this as well) and Pierre Omidyar for example. Part of the deal they rejected was another crippling IMF “loan” and the subsequent austerity measures they demanded be imposed on the people in exchange for it.

  • Among the reasons Mr. Yanukovych turned away from signing political and trade accords with Europe in November was his unwillingness to carry out austerity measures and other reforms that the International Monetary Fund had demanded in exchange for a large assistance packageNew York Times

Yanukovych said “no” so of course, he had to go. Not only that, but his legacy and his life had to be soiled in perpetuity in the interests of the greater good (meaning the masters of the universe’s “greater good”) which makes him perfect fodder for this new bullshit anti-Trump hit-piece being put out by the New York Times.

The Perversion of the unDNC Convention: Part 2 – Clinton’s New Dems Promoting a New McCarthyism (you can’t make this stuff up)

by Scott Creighton

(Part 1 of a two part article on the perversion that is the unDNC convention this week can be found here)

Da Ebil Ruskies are Colluding with Da Ebil Donald to Deny Saint Hillary the White House” Clinton campaign and their sock-puppets in the mass media.

Neoliberal Hillary Clinton, the nominee of my former party, has a long history of agitating against the popular and elected government of Vladimir Putin in an effort to force a regime change in the country that was once a neoliberal feeding frenzy under the drunken eye of Boris Yeltsin. That is an uncontroversial statement.

Lest anyone forget, Hillary Clinton did her level best to disrupt the Russian elections back in 2011 and when that failed, she attempted to foment a color revolution in the country by making a color revolution specialist the US Ambassador to Russia in 2012.

“Want to know why so many Russians hated Boris Nemtsov? Here’s a video of him paying a visit on U.S. Ambassador to Russia, Michael Anthony McFaul, just after McFaul took office back in 2012. It’s well understood here and in Russia, that McFaul’s task was to attempt to instigate a color revolution in Russia from day one.

Most Russia-watchers are diplomats, or specialists on security and arms control. Or Russian culture. I am neither. I can’t recite Pushkin by heart. I am a specialist in democracy, anti-dictatorial movements, and revolutions” (emphasis added). Michael Anthony McFaul

“(Hillary) Clinton noted that McFaul, who is a specialist in democratic transition – a Kommersant headline from January 11 touted him as a “color revolution specialist” – is uniquely suited for his new post, given Russia’s current climate.” Russia Profile

So in comes the color revolution specialist and one of the first to meet and greet the neoliberal scum, is Boris Nemtsov. Go figure.” Scott Creighton, March 1, 2015

(It should be noted that Boris Nemtsov was a pure neoliberal who wanted Hillary Clinton to help set him up as the next Boris Yeltsin in Russia and when that failed, they tried a mini-false flag operation, his shooting in early 2015, as a means to further destabilize Moscow. It failed.)

That is the backdrop for you informed voters out there as the likes of Joe Scarborough parrot the ridiculous and completely baseless claim that Vladimir Putin is behind the hacking of the unDNC emails and the leak of them prior to the convention this week.

The truth is, Hillary did it, not Vlad the Destroyer of Worlds. As if that really mattered.

Neocon Michael Rubin (pen name Peter Korzun?) Openly Calls for Military Coup in Turkey

by Scott Creighton

All those so-called “alternative” journalists out there who have been steadily regurgitating the anti-Erdogan rhetoric of this latest neoliberal regime change operation in the Middle East (and I am talking to you Lizzie Phelan and Steve Lendman) should take note: this is what you are supporting.

Yesterday Peter Korzun of the Strategic Culture Foundation posted an article in which he clearly calls for the military of Turkey to stage a coup in order to take control away from the elected government of the country and specifically, Recep Erdogan, because he is a “sultan”

In order to make his point on a so-called “progressive” “anti-war” and “anti-imperialism” website, Korzun chooses some rather suspect “experts” to help him make his case:

Michael Rubin, a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute and a former Pentagon officialpredicts an imminent military coup in Turkey. According to the expert, «Turks – and the Turkish military – increasingly recognize that Erdogan is taking Turkey to the precipice». Rubin believes that «he [Erdogan] has taken Turkey down a path in which there is no chance of victory and a high chance of de facto partition». According to him, «If the Turkish military moves to oust Erdogan and place his inner circle behind bars, could they get away with it? In the realm of analysis rather than advocacy, the answer is yes». Rubin writes, it is doubtful that the Obama administration would do more than castigate any coup leaders, especially if they immediately laid out a clear path to the restoration of democracy. Neither Turkey nor Greece lost their NATO membership after coups.

The Turkish military has long seen itself as the «guardian of Turkish democracy», which it defines as the staunchly secular state created by Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, the founder of the modern Turkish republic..” Peter Korzun

Yes, that is the same neocon Michael Rubin of the Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld days being quoted as a source by the “anti-imperialist” Peter Korzun in his article calling for an undemocratic military coup in Turkey.

Between 2004 and 2009, he was editor of the Middle East Quarterly. He has received fellowships from the Council on Foreign Relations,[3] and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs.

Rubin has lectured in history at Yale University, Hebrew University, Johns Hopkins University, and worked as visiting lecturer at Universities of Sulaymaniyah, Salahuddin, and Duhok, in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. Between 2002 and 2004, Rubin worked as a country director for Iran and Iraq in the Office of the Secretary of Defense, from which he was seconded to the Coalition Provisional Authority in Iraq.[4]

And yes, a military coup in Turkey to get rid of the elected government and Recep Erdogan is exactly what Peter Korzun is calling for.

Two years since the Kiev coup

(The only exception I have to this otherwise, decent article is the fact that she says Yanukovych was “anti-democratic”. He wasn’t anti-democratic, he was anti-EU, along with the vast majority of Ukraine’s people. They decided against joining the EU and were siding with Russia and for that, he had to go.)

by Andrea Peters, WSWS

In February 2014, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych was overthrown in a right-wing coup backed by the US and Germany. In the months leading up to and after this event, the World Socialist Web Site exposed the forces behind the “Maidan” movement, which was led by a combination of free-marketeers, ultra-nationalists and neo-fascists who exploited popular discontent with Yanukovych to install a virulently anti-Russian government with close ties to Washington and Berlin.

The analysis of the WSWS then and now demonstrates the immense chasm separating it from a line-up of pseudo-left tendencies such as the International Socialist Organization (ISO) in the US, the New Anti-capitalist Party of France (NPA), and the Russian Socialist Movement (RSM), which applauded the Maidan “revolution” and claimed that it bore some sort of progressive character. Hailing the ouster of Yanukovych as a positive transformation that could be utilized by the “left” for its own purposes, they sought to cover up the fact that the real target of the coup was not the anti-democratic and corrupt practices of Yanukovych, but the working class of Ukraine, Russia and the world.

In taking this position, these organizations simply extended their support for imperialism to a new domain. Having backed the interventions in Libya and Syria, portraying these imperialist wars for regime-change as democratic revolutions, they lined up behind Washington and Berlin and their fascistic proxy forces in Ukraine. In 2011, for instance, the NPA’s Gilbert Achcar wrote: “Every general rule admits of exceptions. This includes the general rule that UN-authorized military interventions by imperialist powers are purely reactionary ones and can never achieve a humanitarian or positive purpose.

Maidan Massacre Documentary (video)

(Unfortunately, there was a lot left out of this documentary as is illustrated by the director’s own statement published below. Of course, there is the video of Oleg Tsarev saying in parliament that the protest itself was funded and started by the US due to Ukraine turning away from the EU to sign a trade deal with Russia while the bought-off opposition members in the room tried to shout him down. There was also an interview done with a “protester” who clearly states he was one of two snipers firing from the roof of the Conservatory building, controlled by the opposition at the time. He claims he wasn’t shooting to kill but the body count dispels that story. The Tsarev video is posted after the documentary.)

from Global Research

John Beck-Hoffman acknowledges that his film was censored, without going into details. It was initially 90 minutes, important sections pertaining to US sponsorship of the Coup d’Etat were removed. In the words of John Beck Hoffman, in response to comments on his youtube channel;

Comment: On the basis of examining the issues of the Maidan snipers a decent documentary. However, more background to the events that led these “protests” would have been welcomed e.g. Oleg Tsarev’s claims of US NGOs funding regime change in Ukraine. The events in the attempted Macedonian coup shows that the US still up to its tricks.

Beck-Hoffman: “all that was in my original cut of the film which was closer to 90 mins. I went into great detail of USAID, NED, Nuland/Pyatt, corporate interests and the history of how this has happened many times before – I unfortunately had to cut it out for reasons I can’t go into, but I will eventually release the full “directors cut” of the program.”

Beck-Hoffman: [in response to another comment] A Russian language version was released first, as well on youtube. I had also originally made a longer version of the film which went into detail as to “who would benefit” from such an atrocity. It unveiled a lot of what was going on behind the scenes, but that segment ended up being cut from the final film. I would like to release that someday but I have no idea if and when that would be possible. If I do, I will put it on my youtube channel. But please, pass along this film to whomever you think would enjoy it. It needs to get more exposure as so many people have no idea what really happened over there. thanks you again. JBH
