IDF Apologist and Regime Change Advocate Bernard-Henri Levy Lies Through His Teeth in Desperate Greater Kurdistan Screed

‘This is our 1948’: Kurds kindle a close relationship with Jews and Israel

Bernard-Henri Levy has a long history of backing brutal IDF actions in Gaza as well as pretty much EVERY globalist regime change operation since Yugoslavia.

  • Through the 2000s, Lévy argued that the world must pay more attention to the crisis in Darfur.[7]
  • In August 2008, Lévy reported from South Ossetia, Georgia, during the 2008 South Ossetia war; on that occasion he interviewed the President of Georgia, Mikheil Saakashvili.[25] (the attack on Russian peace-keepers and the people of South Ossetia)
  • On 24 June 2009, Lévy posted a video on Dailymotion in support of the Iranian protesters who were being repressed after the contested elections.[22] (Hillary Clinton’s attempt at a color revolution in Iran)
  • At the opening of the “Democracy and its Challenges” conference in Tel Aviv (May 2010) Lévy gave a very high estimation of the Israel Defense Forces, saying “I have never seen such a democratic army, which asks itself so many moral questions. There is something unusually vital about Israeli democracy.”[24]  (this he did less than a year after the IDF attacked civilians, women and children during Operation Cast Lead, killing hundreds of them indiscriminately while the world focused on the transition of presidential authority here in the states)
  • In March 2011, he engaged in talks with Libyan rebels in Benghazi, and publicly promoted the international acknowledgement of the recently formed National Transitional Council.[26][27]   (Hillary Clinton’s regime change operation in Libya)
  • In May 2011, Lévy argued for military intervention in Syria against Bashar al-Assad after violence against civilians in response to the 2011 Syrian uprising.[31]
  • Levy was in Kiev, Ukraine during the Maidan Revolution in February 2014, actively promoting the events.[39]
  • In February 2015, he performed his play Hotel Europa at the Kiev opera house on the first anniversary of the Euromaidan’s toppling of the pro-Russian government of Victor Yanukovich.[40]

Ironic isn’t it, that Levy seems to have a particular fondness for the new neo-Nazi government in Ukraine in spite of the fact that “Lévy is proudly Jewish, and he has said that Jews ought to provide a unique Jewish moral voice in society and politics.[7]

It would seem there has not been a globalist regime change operation in the past 30 years or so that Bernard-Henri Levy hasn’t backed 100% and most of them he travels to and “reports” from in favor of the bloody overthrow of democratically elected… LEFT LEANING… governments.

True to form, Levy has weighed in on the failing Greater Kurdistan project, which most analysts will tell you, is STRONGLY supported by the fascist Likud faction in Tel Aviv.

And, true to history, his support isn’t hampered by facts in the slightest as he is fully capable of making up his own as he goes.

The timidity of the international community in the face of the Sept. 25 referendum on an independent Kurdistan is a trifecta of shame, absurdity, and historic miscalculation…

But now that the time has come to settle up, the United States remains stubbornly opposed to the referendum, urging the Kurds to put off their aspirations for independence to an indeterminate date in the future. Levy, Foreign Policy Mag

Iraqi Kurdistan (as it is called) is seeking to hold a referendum on independence in a week and it’s causing a bit of a stir throughout the Middle East. The Iraqi government, our puppet government, is opposed to it. As are Syria, Turkey and Iran for that matter. Why? Because it is the first official step toward Greater Kurdistan, a project announced by Condi Rice in 2006 in Tel Aviv when she gave a lecture talking about “the birth pangs of a New Middle East”

Levy’s article is full of disinformation and outright lies regarding the glorious Kurds and the Barzani ruled dictatorship in “Iraqi Kurdistan”

For one thing he says the referendum isn’t ultimately about creating Greater Kurdistan and in fact he claims there is no consensus among the Kurds in the 4 targeted nations regarding the creation of one super-state.

It is as if these voices are unaware that the present referendum concerns only the Kurds of Iraq, who have no ambition to form a greater Kurdistan with their “brothers” and “sisters” in Turkey and SyriaLevy, Foreign Policy Mag

That is an outright lie.

Representatives from the four parts of greater Kurdistan came together to take part in a Kurdish conference in Moscow, discussing the future of the nation in the new Middle East in light of the war against ISIS both in Iraq and Syria, where Kurdish forces have made significant gains against the extremist militants. March 2017

Yes, there has been some infighting among the Kurdish factions. And in fact, many Kurdish citizens, those not likely to profit from the new nation, would rather remain citizens of Syria, Iraq, Turkey and Iran. But for the most part, the Kurdish factions have been bought off over time and they realize that there must be “one ring to rule them all” and Barzani wears it because it was given to him by the U.S., Britain and Israel.

In this quote from Levy’s FP article, the lies come fast and furious:

“… are not dangers far greater than little Kurdistan, a secular and democratic friend of the West with an elected parliament and free press!Levy, Foreign Policy Mag

The Barzani government in “Iraqi Kurdistan” is not a democracy. Far from it, it is an “absolute dictatorship” that steals the wealth of the region and kills with impunity… especially members of the press. And when the citizens of “Iraqi Kurdistan” dare to gather in numbers and petition their government for redress of grievances, the dictatorship does what dictatorships always do.

Let me explain to you the TRUTH about “Iraqi Kurdistan” in an effort to give you a glimpse into the future of this new nation Bernard-Henri Levy is trying to help create.

Because Iraqi Kurdistan lacks a constitution, Barzani and other senior political leaders can exercise unchecked, arbitrary power. The absence of accountability and a free press has enabled corruption, abuse, and mismanagement to increase.

Nepotism is widespread. Not only is the prime minister the nephew of the president, but the president’s son, Masrour Barzani, a scarcely-qualified 34-year-old, heads the local intelligence service. Another Barzani son is the commander of the Special Forces. And Masoud Barzani installed his uncle, Hoshyar Zebari, as Iraq’s foreign ministerOther Barzani and Talabani relatives have monopolized telecommunications, construction, and trade. ME Forum

Barzani Kurdistan promises to be an even more brutal and corrupt dictatorship than “Iraqi Kurdistan” already is and that is why the U.W. and Israel want it so much. Because in a dictatorship one finds the stability needed to appease the business interests that own our nations. For Levy to try to pass off Iraqi Kurdistan as some kind of peaceful democracy is a joke. That is… if you know a little history it’s a joke. And that’s what propagandists like Levy are counting on you not knowing.

Levy also tries to imply the Kurds are a peaceful people simply defending themselves from “ISIS” aggression while nothing could be further from the truth.

Levy isn’t the first Israel apologist to openly shill for the creation of Greater Kurdistan and he probably wont be the last.

Neocon and Israel-firster Alan Dershowtiz (I call him the Dershster) has done a little video in which he praises our new “freedom fighters”, the Kurds, and says they are defending “all humanity” and deserve a country of their own, Greater Kurdistan. Sept. 2016

The Dershster released his call for Greater Kurdistan right after Sec. of State Kerry and Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov signaled an end to the project back in Aug. of 2016 when it appeared Obama was ready to give up on the thing altogether.

Today it seems the project has been put on hold a bit now that Russia, Syria and Iran are routing our proxy army in Syria, “ISIS™”, who have been capturing land over there and then handing it over to the glorious Kurds without so much as a shot being fired.

It was always obvious that “ISIS™” and the glorious Kurds were working together ever since Russia started bombing “ISIS™” oil tanker convoys that were on their way south with stolen crude, heading into Iraqi Kurdistan so it could be processed and eventually shipped to Israel as cheap fuel for that nation.

ISIS™ Oil Continues to Flow to Israel While Turkish Stream Pipeline Deal Appears Dead  Nov. 2015

This is also not the first time I covered this rabid regime change propagandist’s efforts in support of the glorious Kurds. He did a “documentary” over a year ago about them which I wrote about.

Ah, the perpetual regime change proponent, Bernard-Henri Levy. He’s busy promoting his latest piece of “propaganda as art”, a documentary about the Kurds in Iraq supposedly fighting “ISIS”. His film was just “discovered” and added to the Cannes Film Festival (for purely propaganda purposes as next year will certainly be too late for his film to have any “soft power” effect) May 2016

While folks like Levy have a long history of promoting and fighting for the Greater Kurdistan project, there are folks out here like myself and others who are pushing back against them.

The fact is, I’ve been covering the Greater Kurdistan project since Nov. of 2014. Some have been on it for longer than that.

Back then writing about Greater Kurdistan being the ultimate goal of the Syrian regime change operation assured you that you would be instantly declared a “conspiracy theorist” even by so-called “alternative” media outlets. But a few of us persisted and now it is an open, if rarely talked about, truth.

As Syria and Russia rout “ISIS” and the other regime change contractors (al Qaeda and al Nusra for example) from Syria, panic is setting in among those dedicated to a “New Middle East” and these are not the kinds of people who will let their dreams die easily.

What Bernard-Henri Levy is doing is putting out a clarion call to those who pay attention to such things. His is a call to action to inspire other writers and influence peddlers like those working for the Times and the Washington Post to come out in support of this phony referendum that will be held in “Iraqi Kurdistan” and ultimately in support of busting off a piece of Iraq to form the first piece of Greater Kurdistan.

This project has been around for a long time. Long before Clinton and Obama decided to practice their regime change skills in Syria.

Greater Kurdistan represents potential wealth and control beyond the wildest dreams of most adamant non-interventionist writers out there. So much so they simply can’t see the forest for the trees. It is the ultimate board position in the Grand Chessboard game being played out as we speak and to that end it seems apologists and propagandists like Bernard-Henri Levy simply can’t let it go. Not even a little.

Propaganda like his must be refuted but unfortunately it seems that task is left to small time bloggers like myself and Penny and a few others because the bigger outlets are too busy chasing down leads to Pakistani spies in congress or links to Trump and Russian mobsters.

You know.. important stuff like that.

Levy doing this crap again isn’t news since he has done it for years and years when ever the masters of the universe want a nation busted up, neoliberalised or rebuilt in their fascist image.

What is news is the fact that he and others like him refuse to surrender their dreams of a new neoliberal dictatorship in the middle of the Middle East comprised of oil-rich regions of nations that are not too fond of Israel’s brutal and illegal policies. This compulsion of theirs to get a piece NOW at ALL COSTS they cling to in spite of the fact that it is CLEARLY not the time to push this agenda.

But now that the time has come to settle up, the United States remains stubbornly opposed to the referendum, urging the Kurds to put off their aspirations for independence to an indeterminate date in the future. Levy, Foreign Policy Mag

Sycophantic war-mongers like Levy are not in the business of accepting defeat, even a temporary one, even if it means risking all out war in the Middle East between us, Israel and say… Iraq, Syria, Iran, Hezbollah, Turkey and even Russia.

They want something NOW to show their owners they still serve a purpose… that they can still deliver the goods so to speak.

If the “referendum” is held it will be about as democratic as any other “election” in Iraqi Kurdistan and will therefore be meaningless and will be considered meaningless by everyone in the region with the exception of Israel and possibly Saudi Arabia.

If it is held the question will be what do we do to either recognize the results. Chances are nothing other than paying it lip service. Israel however is a different story.

Ultimately we are talking about the newest potential regime change operation in the Middle East and that one will be in Iraq and we will be regime changing our own puppet government that we put in place after the Saddam regime change op of 2003.

I doubt they are willing to go that far at this juncture but you never know. Trump and his glorious generals seem to have a real hard-on for all things Israel and Kurd these days, so, anything is possible.

But for now let’s hope truth and reason win out over lies and propaganda from the likes of Bernard-Henri Levy and his ilk. And, for now, the Greater Kurdistan project is on life support so let’s pull the plug and be done with it once and for all and let folks like Levy stew in his own hate-tainted juices all by himself until the masters of the universe demand another sacrificial nation to curb their insatiable appetites for MORE.

  1. Good information !
They don’t know when to give up….

  2. Ah yes, after his sell-out to ObamaGod began, Webby Tarpley tried to pull our heart strings over “helping the poor Kurds earn their own democratic, secular sovereign nation”. What a disgusting turncoat.
Don’t you get it, Scott? For the Bernard Henri-Levy fan club, democracy IS about stealing nations’ wealth, buying their governments, and leaving their societies in tatters. As long as you can keep up a facade of parties, elections, parliaments and an open press (open for the lapdgogs of their interests), everything is hunky dory. Sort of like highly processed food with no authentic, quality ingredients, the industry of charlatans like him is dedicated to marketing bogus nonsovereign polities the actual population of a nation can’t influence to their benefit, with honeyed words, phrases andwhat have you, to the ignorant.
