The Trumpening: Trump to order regulatory rollback Friday for finance industry, Wall Street, top aide says

from the Washington Post

President Trump plans to order a rollback Friday of regulations governing the financial services industry and Wall Street under the Dodd-Frank law and beyond.

Gary Cohn, White House Economic Council director, told the Wall Street Journal the administration would also move against a regulation designed to force retirement advisers to work in the best interest of their clients, the “fiduciary rule,” set to take effect in April and designed to eliminate conflicts-of-interests among professionals dealing with those enrolled in qualified retirement plans and IRAs.

In an interview with the Journal, Cohn, a former president of Goldman Sachs, said the order was a “table setter for a bunch of stuff that is coming.”..

  1. Does anyone really think it’s a good idea to have U.S. government “officials” with dual citizenship? I know they run things anyway, but they’ve needed intermediaries until now.

  2. The fake leftists are all protesting Trump’s initiatives regarding immigrants.

None will protest Trump’s initiatives regarding financial decriminalization, which will have vastly more impact on average Americans that will immigration to the USA.

    • i don’t know why. the only ones who Trump will round up and kick out of the country are the ‘violent’ criminals and those who aren’t currently benefiting some major company by working for substantially less than industry average. yep, he’s just going to kick out the criminals and the ones who don’ want to work for peanuts. the rest can stay, according to his new declaration. that should make the corporate dems happy.

Most humans indulge in groupthink and mob psychology. Groupthink allows rich people to order the peasants to go and die in wars that make rich people richer. When the peasants begin their stampede to the slaughterhouse, they exterminate anyone who questions the madness. Corporate media outlets manipulate this. They direct groupthink in order to keep the peasants subservient and obedient.

I mention groupthink because I am appalled by the hysteria against Trump on one hand, and the submission to Trump on the other hand. On one hand, corporate media outlets say that the entire planet opposes Trump’s comments regarding immigration. They note that even the Departments of State and Homeland Security are ignoring Trump’s executive order (which of course those departments are empowered to do by the executive order itself). They ask “Where is the love?” On the other hand, the peasants and the media outlets do not oppose Trump’s neoliberalism, or his new sanctions against Iran, or his decriminalization of Wall Street fraud. They do not oppose anything that creates refugees in the first place, or that widens the gap between the rich and the rest.

BOTTOM LINE: What makes you a peasant is not your poverty, but your character — i.e. your submission to groupthink. Mass groupthink is why there is a gap between rich and poor. It is why the peasants willingly die in wars that make rich people richer. If you publicly question the madness, you are stampeded.
