President Trump’s Mouthpiece at UN Demands Russia Force Crimeans Back into the Hands of the Brutal Neo-Nazi Government of Ukraine

by Scott Creighton

Yesterday, President Trump’s UN Ambassador Nikki Haley said “Crimea is part of Ukraine. Our Crimea-related sanctions will remain in place until Russia returns control over the peninsula to Ukraine,”

“She added that her country was seeking to improve relations with Moscow, at the same time asserting that Crimea’s reunification with Russia was “aggression,” “occupation” and “military intervention.” TASS

The people of Crimea and Sevastopol held a referendum on March 6th, 2014 in which over 80% of the voting age populations turned out and it resulted in over 90% of the votes in both areas were to rejoin the Russian Federation and get away from the brutality of the new, neo-Nazi, Obama created government in Ukraine.

The revisionist historians claim Russia “invaded and occupied” Crimea prior to the referendum. This is an old lie that was thoroughly debunked years ago but still persists today, unfortunately. And apparently it is now being repeated by the Trump administration of “CHANGE” (sound familiar?)

The Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Igor Pavlovsky, admitted day before yesterday that Ukraine is mounting a new offensive in the Donbass region against separatists who also don’t want to live in Obama’s neo-Nazi Ukraine. It is a direct violation of the Minsk Agreements.

“Today, no matter what, meter by meter, step by step and seizing the opportunity, our boys are heroically moving forward,” Pavlovsky stated while commenting on the situation in Avdeevka.” Fort Russ News

It would appear that the Ukrainian military is shelling residential areas in the separatist regions. Of course, the complicit media blames Putin for this, not Porky Porosenko.

It is also being reported that a ballistic missile strike launched by the Ukrainian military has struck the center of Donetsk.

“Reports are coming in of what appears to be a ballistic missile strike which hit the city center of Donetsk.  Until now, only the western and northern suburbs of Donetsk had been affected by a massive barrage of artillery strikes (thousands of shells) fired by the Ukronazi forces.  Multiple rocket launchers were also used.  This time, however, the type of missile used as a tactical ballistic missile of the Tochka-U type” The Saker

There is a video of what is reported to be the aftermath of that strike.

You can find a large cache of up to date videos of the situation in Donbass here at News FRONT Youtube channel.

On Jan. 31st of this year, globalist apologists were worried that if Trump’s “inward” tendencies to let nations resolve their own issues holds up, then da ebil Pootin would use the opportunity to sweep into Ukraine and take it for his own, nefarious purposes.

Truth is, when the people and the legitimate government decided they wanted no part of the EU, NATO and all the crippling IMF loans that come with them, the Obama REGIME of neoliberal globalists decided they had to act quickly to stage a color revolution and overthrow the government in order to stop that act of national self-determination.

It was the U.S. and her influence peddlers (like Soros for example) who rushed into Ukraine to undermine the course of democracy, not Vladamir Putin.

That’s why the people of Donbass and Crimea wanted out. And as we have seen ever since, they were right to want to do so.

Trump was elected, in part, on a non-interventionist platform. And here we see his UN representative regurgitating a stand on Crimea and Ukraine that could easily have come from the mouth of Samantha Power, one of the most vile, lying, war-mongering trolls President Obama ever hired.

With this new offensive and violation of the peace accord being conducted by our puppet regime in Ukraine and Trump’s mouthpiece’s response at the UN, it seems we are unfortunately about to see heightened violence in eastern Ukraine and perhaps even in Crimea.

  1. Trump said over and over that he would seek better relations with Russia….. and now he does this? He lied about it? Guess he lost his war with the CIA and now he is their puppet. Depressing.

    • Trump never lies. And he never tells the truth either. Everything that comes out of his mouth is the moment’s most convenient bullshit and it cannot be a lie because it has no relationship at all to either truth or falsehood. It’s simply whatever he wanted to or felt he needed to say at that moment. Having no physical/psychological reaction whatsoever to the people around you probably has its advantages in terms of personal freedom. He is the perfect, purely distilled sociopath.

    • What war with CIA was that? You mean the time he outed Ted Cruz’s old man?

Not to worry, Barbarossa III will be a huge jobs program, tremendous program. Rebuild our economy…

    • With respect, to suppose that Trump “lost his war with the CIA” is to suppose that Trump’s goals are not aligned with the CIA’s.

Trump and the CIA are both dedicated to advancing neoliberalism (which I call neo-feudalism, in which a handful of oligarchs own everything and everyone).

Hillary was also dedicated to neoliberalism, as are fake leftists. They all attack Trump, but they never call for true leftist provisions like Single Payer, or like Universal Social Security. Fake leftists claim to want “change,” when in fact they oppose change.

  2. Neo- Nazi? Quite the opposite. Everyone of any importance in Ukraine is Jewish.

  3. Again we see that Trump’s “populism” is as fake as was Obama’s “progressivism.”

Both right wing “populism” and liberal “progressivism” are lies. They are two sides of the same coin. They are equally corrupt and equally neoliberal. Both attack and destroy any political candidate that makes authentically leftist noises (e.g. calls for Single Payer health insurance).

The sad thing is that when you explain this to Hillary-bots, the idiots call you an idiot.

As for Crimea, it has been politically, culturally, and demographically part of Russia for centuries, and is physically separated from Russia by only two miles.

Ukraine itself was part of the USSR. In 1954 Moscow made Crimea part of the Ukrainian SSR (still within USSR national boundaries) in the hope that the Crimean tourist industry would help the Ukrainian economy. In 1991 upon the dissolution of the USSR, Crimeans voted by referendum to become an autonomous republic. This was fine with Kiev until the US-sponsored coup of Feb 2014. A month after the coup, Ukrainians voted by referendum to become part of Russia.

For the Western Empire, the Crimean referendum was a “Russian invasion.” (All forms of democracy that do not advance the Empire are “evil” and “illegal.”)

    • US is like a yuuuge cruise ship! Its ports of calls are determined not by the captain, but the ship’s owners… And way in advance, not after the elections.

      Today’s NY Times headline reads:

TRUMP REVERTS TO PILLARS OF OBAMA POLICIES ABROAD
A Contrast With Campaign Vows on Israeli Settlements, Ukraine and Iran.

      Liberty Cruises
Our next stop will be sunny Yemen
Breakfast is being served on the Capitol Deck.
Captain Trump and his crew would like to wish you a wonderful journey.

      • all true. too true. next stop might be Yemen but that is only in preparation for Trump’s real destination as seafaring captain… Iran. Obama got them the most part of the other 7 nations in 5 years plan and Trump is going to be the one to finish the Liberty Cruise Line tour in Iran. The only question remaining is… does he know it yet?

        • Yes, that is the big question… Is he the hammer, or the nail? The hand, or the glove?

Not sure if it matters to the masters, as long as the ship keeps sailing in the direction they set out long time ago. While some are dining in the ball room, others protesting on the decks, engines are running full throttle..

(I promise, that was the last drop I’m going to squeeze out of my ship analogy :-/)

    • Keep in mind that the West has been fighting to take Crimea and thus disable Russia for 2 centuries. Apart from grabbing Ukraine’s wealth, a side benefit, the real goal of USA’s coup in Ukraine was to take Crimea. The fact that Putin had to show his hand so quickly validates this i.e. the referendum to join Russia. That the Crimeans are mostly Russian and wanted this themselves was an advantage.

  4. Further comment on fake leftists…

Fake leftists come in all shapes and sizes. They include people who are only leftist on some issues, not all. For example, a Jew may condemn limits on immigrants to the USA, while he cheers the apartheid walls in Palestine. In another example, fake leftists condemn Trump’s questions about Muslim immigrants, while they praise the extermination of Muslims abroad. Fake leftists condemn spoken racism (e.g. the ‘N’ word) while they support institutionalized racism such as the filling up of prisons with blacks.

In most cases this evil hypocrisy of fake leftists is a manifestation of their hate, arrogance, and self-righteousness. However fake leftism can also arise from simple error. For example, Chris Hedges says we can’t have Single Payer because U.S. government money is all spent on the military. This is fake leftism, because it supports the right-wing neoliberal lie that the U.S. government cannot create infinite dollars out of thin air, and hence the US government must depend on loans and on tax revenue. Hedges, in supporting this lie, makes sure that we can never have Single Payer, for example, since, according to Hedges, the U.S. government “has no money” (when in fact the US government can and does create limitless dollars).

It does not matter whether Hedges is intentionally lying, or is simply ignorant. The result is the same: no Single Payer. No Universal Social Security. No free college. No nationwide infrastructure upgrade program. No money for the masses (but infinite money for wars, and for Wall Street bailouts) since, according to Hedges, average Americans face a choice between military spending and social programs. They cannot have both.

This is a lie. When we support this lie, we become fake leftists, since we support neoliberalism with its mass privatization, its gratuitous austerity, and its false claims that the U.S. government “can’t spend money it doesn’t have.” We support the lie that Social Security is “insolvent.” We support the lie that a currency creator / issuer (e.g. the U.S. government) is the same as a currency user (e.g. you and me).

The truly compassionate humanitarian does not believe such lies. Thus, fake leftism is not a failure of intellect, but of moral character.

    • I think your example of Hedges is an apt one. Over the years I have written about the real meaning of the Lewis Powell memo several times. I even heard some talking heads on the MSM refer to it recently, which is odd if you ask me. But they miss the point. The memo dictated not just a way to control congress and state houses across the nation, but to literally transform the left into conservatives. To make them change the very way they see the world. The fake left we have now is both a part of that (as in fake left leaders like Obama and Clinton) and a consequence of it (as you point out with Hedges THINKING like a republican. The idea was to get us to internalize their corporatist, far-right ideology. This is what you refer to as a lack of moral character or at least it’s what you see as such. And for the most part, I agree. The left says nothing about the endless wars and bombing other countries while they hyperventilate over delaying entry into the country of a few thousand people and they are simply incapable of seeing the hypocrisy. Our job is to remind them, to remake the very soul of the left. Not just call out those who no longer understand it, but to remake it.

    • Hi Scott and ElizabethHarris,
I realize this isn’t the best blog to try to have an economics discussion, but given how often this comes up on Scott’s blog, and how much I enjoy reading Scott’s blog (see here: https://willyloman.wordpress.com/2016/12/15/aaron-swartz-rolls-over-in-his-grave-as-we-ignore-the-rise-of-the-privatized-surveillance-state-and-even-pay-for-it/#comments),
regardless of the economic-based disconnect, I must ask:
Per your statement “the lie that U.S. government cannot create infinite dollars out of thin air” – about which I agree – the US federal government (and it’s system of central banks) CAN, in fact, create infinite money out of thin air and HAS been doing exactly that for a few decades now, with reckless abandon…
      (sorry, getting to my question)

How do you think that ends?
      — the endless and limitless creation of money out of thin air?

(via the Federal Reserve, no less. Although it’d be no different if there were no Fed and a US Central Bank or some other entity/mechanism were to do the same. It’s all the same.)

How do you think that plays out in the end? And who does it ultimately affect the worst? (Hint: it ain’t the bankers, and it ain’t the missile makers…)

Seriously, if it’s as easy and magical as just creating money out of thin air – with no side effects, no repercussions, no accountability – why not make everything free?
Why not have free housing, and free food, and free clothing, and free cars, and free entertainment, and free vacations, and free EVERYTHING for EVERYONE? C’mon, why not? Sounds wonderful…
