Bana of Aleppo: the Story So Far

(I would add the Malala story, Bring Back Our Girls and “incubator babies” to her list of manufactured little girl heroes stories)

First there was the Gay Girl of Damascus, back in 2011, and now we have @AlabedBana tweeting from Aleppo.

The Bana story all began in September of 2016 when 7 year old Bana began to tweet from eastern Aleppo to share with the world her anxiety about living in a war-torn city. It is perhaps a sad reflection of the world we live in that her arrival on the social media scene provoked a certain amount of scepticism, hilarity even. It seems only fair to endeavour to consider the Bana case objectively.

Bana, as we are told, lives with her parents and two brothers in Aleppo. Her mother Fatemah is a teacher who ‘manages Bana’s twitter account’ and occasionally tweets herself, and her father Ghassan works in the ‘legal department of the local council’, whatever that means – the area is totally controlled by al Nusra who have set up their own council:

Bana’s sole purpose in tweeting is to tell us about the bombing of Aleppo by Putin and Assad, and to ask us to do something about it (Bana herself has lost one or two friends to the bombing, though we never learn their names).

  1. Yes, lets start the blood-feast of WW3 for Aleppo.

  2. I smelled a set up when we had the JK Rowling/Harry Potter author sending this girl books- e books- out of the blue- Wondered where this was going to go…
And this is the direction it went.

I’m so sick of these psyops
    barely touch them any more

    • i noticed that, too. i wonder how much rowling is connected with some of these events, or if she’s just easily taken in by the bullshit. i know i’ve mentioned it before, but she played a minor/supporting role in the cassidy stay shooting hoax — which is one that people should look at more closely (if they’re skeptical of staged shootings), since it’s obvious to the point of being insulting.

  3. That’s one vile tweet and completely insane. Even as propaganda iit’s so off-putting it’s practically worthless.

She’d probably have a new job in DC by now if Hillary had won.

  5. OFF TOPIC

Much of politics is pathetic and symbolic.

    Example…

Rep. Eliot Engel (D-NY) is a militant Zionist and a Hillary-bot. On 12 July 2016, Engel introduced H.R. 5732: the “Caesar Syria Civilian Protection Act of 2016.” It will increase money for the terrorist “white helmets,”™ and will authorize the nationwide carpet bombing of Syria (i.e. it will establish a Libya-style “no fly zone”).

On 15 Nov 2016 the bill passed the U.S. House by voice vote, meaning no record of individual votes was made. It was then sent to the U.S. Senate.

Why did it pass the House by voice vote? Because the bill can’t go anywhere. The current Congress (114th) will expire on 3 Jan 2017, whereon the slate will be wiped clean. All bills now in consideration will be voided, including H.R. 5732. Everyone will have to start over. Trump won’t even be in office yet.

I suppose the purpose of such nonsense is to sustain war fever. “Thanks to Rep. Engel, Congress approved a no-fly zone!”

    No it did not.

  6. OFF TOPIC

Syrian troops have been swarming inside eastern Aleppo since Saturday. The final liberation of the city from Western-backed terrorist-mercenaries is now so close that today French Foreign Minister Jean-Marc Ayrault called an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council. Ayrault will demand that the UNSC find a way to “get aid into the city” (i.e. find a way to give the terrorists a chance to rearm and regroup).

Civilians are fleeing to safety in government-controlled areas, using government-provided buses. Ms. Ayrault calls their escape to safety a “humanitarian crisis.”

British Prime Minister Theresa May today described the terrorist defeat in Aleppo as “horrific,” and called on Russia to leave the innocent terrorists alone.
