Mike Rivero is a neoliberal Cass Sunstein shill. I’ve known that for a while now. Most do. Today he published a propaganda article about regime changing Turkey on his website written by Suzanne Nossel. This is what Chris Hedges said about her when he resigned from PEN because she was appointed to head it up:
“Nossel’s relentless championing of preemptive war—which under international law is illegal—as a State Department official along with her callous disregard for Israeli mistreatment of the Palestinians and her refusal as a government official to denounce the use of torture and use of extrajudicial killings, makes her utterly unfit to lead any human rights organization, especially one that has global concerns.” Chris Hedges
Nossel was heavily involved in the Pussy Riot destabilization campaign effort when that was going on.
Along with Nossel’s propaganda piece, Mike published a little quip on his What Really Happened website that makes it clear, he’s all-in for the Cass Sunstein cognitive infiltration, trying to get alternative news viewers to back the coming regime change operation in Turkey. This is what he posted on his website. You can tell it’s Rivero because everyone else has a name assigned to what they post on the site. Only he and his wife post articles without a name assigned to them.
“This is a critical time for free, reasoned speech to be reverberating around the world, where people need to come together to solve the world’s problems in an ethical and concrete way; not calling something out for what it is, is just plain wrong, and the deafening silence at Erdogan’s increasing dictatorship, and the snuffing out of dissent, should be pointed out, logically, and the man named and shamed.
I don’t know what you would call the country of Turkey at this moment; but it sure as heck is not a democracy.” Mike Rivero, WRH
He’s talking about the Turkish government, freely elected in Nov. of 2015, changing the leadership of 3 media outlets which are all owned by the same Gulenist supporting corporation, who have been publishing lies about the AFK led government and Recep Erdogan in particular. There are hundreds of publications in Turkey and many don’t agree with Erdogan or the current government on everything they do, but they don’t make up news stories and stage videos, lying about them and hoping to incite violence and bloodshed in support of the goal of forcing a regime change via another staged color revolution.
Any government has every right to remove the leadership of a publication if they are embarked on such an operation. Using the government’s reaction to the Mockingbird/CIA destabilization efforts as “proof” that the government is “undemocratic” is, again, standard fair for these regime change operations.
The fact that the Syrian Kurds just announced they are going to wage war on Turkey in an effort to force a regime change puts Mike Rivero in their camp, helping them, the new “freedom fighters”, pave the way for perhaps another Hillary Clinton “humanitarian intervention”
Essentially, what Rivero is doing is the exact same kind of regime change cheerleading that Amy Goodman did back in the lead-up to her illegal attacks on Libya.
Notice the article that he links to is from Foreign Policy magazine. A globalist neoliberal rag that promotes every regime change operation like it’s going out of style. In fact the author of the propaganda piece is Suzanne Nossel. She was with the State Department helping craft regime change operations. Here’s a little more background on the woman Mike Rivero chose to republish on his website:
“Prior to her tenure at Amnesty International, she served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of International Organization Affairs in 2009, where she was responsible for multilateral human rights, humanitarian affairs, women’s issues, public diplomacy, press, and congressional relations. At the State Department, Nossel played a leading role in U.S. engagement at the U.N. Human Rights Council, including the initiation of groundbreaking human rights resolutions on Iran, Syria, Libya, Côte d’Ivoire, freedom of association, freedom of expression, and the first U.N. resolution on the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender persons…
How about that? Mike Rivero Megaphoning the work of a proven regime change propaganda peddler who’s also a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and someone Chris Hedges has outed as being a cheerleader for preemptive war and Israel’s illegal activities.
And speaking of Israel… also in the news, perhaps not a coincidence, is this:
The Islamist regime in Turkey poses a series of challenges for Israel, IDF Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Yair Golan said Thursday.Speaking at a security conference hosted by the Begin-Sadat Center for Strategic Studies at Bar Ilan University.
Golan — as a military official — was unusually candid in publicly expressing such an opinion on the ongoing diplomatic process.
Golan said, “I believe that as long as Turkey is governed by an Islamist-oriented party, and headed by an adversarial president like [Recep Tayyip] Erdogan, we could face several problems, as well as challenges, in that regard.” from Penny for your thoughts
Turkish leadership has made it perfectly clear: they aren’t going to support the creation of a Syrian Kurdistan or that of a Turkish Kurdistan on route to Greater Kurdistan. They just aren’t going to do it, and the Syrian government has made the same position clear as well.
Funny isn’t it how right now at this time, when lines are literally being drawn in the sand, Mike Rivero over at What Really Happened, makes his decision to stand with the Israelis and NATO and the U.S. in their regime change operation in Turkey.
Of course, the shill supports the fake candidate (to destabilize the Republican Party or to make sure Hillary gets into office) Donald Trump and much of the official story of 9/11 as well. So I guess this is to be expected, isn’t it?
Every now and then these guys give you a little glimpse into what they really are. You should try to remember them when they do.
Do you want to support real independent journalism
or more Mike Rivero type cognitive infiltration?
I don’t work for the Council on Foreign Relations or promote their agendas. That’s just a fact and I could use your help.
