I’m starting to hate Steve Lendman.

Graham Fuller (foreground) and Turkish Muslim guru Fetullah Gülen who has dark ties to CIA and fanatical Jihadist groups worldwide.

Today Steve is screeching about Turkey shutting down more “free speech” because they targeted 3 CIA-linked publications, all owned by the same Gulenist corporation, for trying to destabilize the freely elected political party that is in power right now.

“Press freedom in Turkey is pure fantasy. Media operations critical of state policies risk regime takeover.

Independent journalists reporting information authorities want suppressed risk arrest, prosecution, imprisonment or assassination.

Last Friday’s takeover of Zaman and its English language Today’s Zaman edition was a serious blow to press freedom. World community and Western media reaction was deplorably mute.

Scant coverage followed Erdogan’s latest outrage. The New York Times and Wall Street Journal ignored his takeover of independent Cihan news agency

Istanbul-based Cihan was Turkey’s only independent news agency, part of Feza Publications, owner of Zaman until regime takeover.” Steve Lendman

Only a fool or a liar would classify Zaman, Today’s Zaman and Cihan News Agency as “independent” media outlets.

As Lendman himself states, they are all part of the same organization, an organization dedicated to regime change in Turkey. And also dedicated to one, Fethullah Gulen, a long time CIA asset and free marketeer who lives here in the states until he can be successfully embedded back in Turkey.

Feza Publications Inc. (Feza Gazetecilik A.Ş) is a Turkish media conglomerate established in 1986. It owns the Zaman and Today’s Zaman newspapers, the Cihan News Agency, and the magazine Aksiyon,[1] as well the book publisher Zaman Kitap.

The company is closely associated with the Islamic movement of Fethullah Gülen, whose members control many other media and business institutions in Turkey and abroad.[2][3]

Here’s a little background on Mr. Gulen (H/T Penny) who runs a bunch of neoliberal charter schools and has SERIOUS CIA connections:

Turkish preacher named Fethullah Gülen has been living in Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania since 1999. Despite not having an education goes beyond the 5th grade, he has several hundred educational organizations such as K–12 schools, universities, and language schools (mostly English) that have been established around the world, mainly Central Asia, Caucasus, Balkans, and including U.S.A.

How did he receive his US residency status while he was ‘wanted’ by the –then- Turkish Government, is still a mystery. Now, this man owns and operates charter schools in USA –through various foundations- despite the fact his Madrasas were outlawed in countries like Russia and Uzbekistan. His schools were under investigation in the Netherlands. Plus, the origin of his immense wealth, which he used to open and operate these schools all over the world, is unclear.

A former CIA station chief in Kabul and the author of “The Future of Political Islam,” Graham Fuller was one of Gulen’s official references in Gulen’s Green Card application, along with another ex-CIA George Fidas and former U.S. ambassador to Turkey Morton Abromovitz, after Gulen rushed to U.S.A. from Turkey in 1999. It is curious how and why an Imam from Turkey had this sort of connections in U.S.A.

Ex-CIA Graham Fuller who served 15 years as an intelligence officer in various countries of the Middle East and Asia, wrote a book about Turkey, titled “The New Turkish Republic: Turkey as a Pivotal State in the Muslim World”, published in 2008. In his book, he fervently promotes the idea of “Moderate Islam”. The problem is, the man he helped escape to U.S.A. by providing references, Fethullah Gulen, was anything but a “moderate.”

Fuller was deeply involved in Afghanistan in the 1980s, encouraged the Reagan administration to begin arming Iran against Iraq during their slugfest, and suggested to the Clinton administration that it should use Muslims to further US interests in Central Asia.  ” Progressive Press, April 2013

There are many other sources which expose Gulen’s CIA background and the insidious nature of his growing influence here and in Turkey and elsewhere across the Muslim world where his for-profit schools teach young Muslim children to love the West’s neoliberal, free market ideology.

Turns out Gulen’s “moderate” schools where they teach the love of neoliberal Mammon, are actually Salafist schools, which makes sense because that’s the far, far right wing Mammon worshiping sect of REAL radical Islam… aka Nusra and “ISIS” et al.

Also turns out, Tajikistan is not the only nation to have banned Gulen schools and kicked their “teachers” and students to the curb:

A memoir by former head of Turkish intelligence, Osman Nuri Gundes, claims that Fethullah Gülen’s worldwide Islamic movement based in Pennsylvania has been providing cover for the CIA since the mid-1990s, and that in the 90s, the movement “sheltered 130 CIA agents” at its schools in Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan alone. [13]

Gülen schools in Russian Chechnya and Dagestan regions, both locations of fanatical Jihadists since 1991, were ultimately banned by Putin. The Russian government has banned all Gülen schools and the activities of the Gülen-linked Nurcu sect in Russia. Over 20 Turkish followers of Gülen were deported from Russia in 2002-2004.” Voltaire

How about that? Putin himself banned all things Gulen from the whole of Russia because he knew they were manufacturing terrorists in his country and of course, we all know the CIA just happens to be in that business themselves, right?

So you can argue about Erdogan all you want but what you can’t do is say any of those 3 publications (there are hundreds in Turkey? thousands?) are “independent”. That’s a laugh. Or a lie. However you want to look at it.

Thus, I’m starting to hate Steve Lendman.

  1. Gullen (CIA) vs Erdogan (CIA-MIT), good cop vs bad cop.

Each move by gullenists leads to an immediate crack down not on institutions, but on Turkish people.

Both work together to birth Ottoman 2.0, exactly as planned by the Empire.

Please try and consider what I’m describing. The common man does not have any champions. The system is designed to exclude them, same as the USA.

    • I’m not saying Erdogan is a “champion”. I’m saying his party was democratically elected, he refused to take on another IMF loan when they paid off the last one, and they now want to impose a regime change on the country because he and the party refuse to break up Turkey and give part of it away to Greater Kurdistan. That doesn’t make him a “champion”… that’s just looking at the deep state politics as they are. and that’s it. the clue is how all these folks are blaming Erdogan for shit the CIA, NATO and Mossad have been doing in Syria. That’s a pretty good clue if you ask me.

  2. Graham Fuller, whose greatest achievement in life was the Beslan school massacre. CIA = NKVD.

  3. Yes we sure can argue about Erdogan all we want and the big ‘they’ who control the show sure do want us arguing about Erdogan, and they really want us to argue about Iran too. Seems like the only thing they don’t want us talking about is how Syria has been sold down the river by the usual suspects.

Lendman is the classic disinfo source, some bits of good truth polluted by filthy lies. It is difficult to find a bigger fan of Vlad Putin, than Lendman.
