The Obama administration has cancelled bi-lateral talks with Russia that had been scheduled in an effort to facilitate a diplomatic solution to the crisis in Syria that the Obama administration created in the first place.
“Russia slammed the United States on Tuesday for allegedly using “unproven excuses” to justify military action in Syria and said Moscow is “seriously disappointed” by Washington’s decision to put off a bilateral meeting to discuss the crisis there.” RIA Novosti
Ironically (or not so much depending on how much you actually know about the history of this conflict), the man most responsible for creating the crisis in Syria, Robert “Salvador Option” Ford, US Ambassador to Syria and former master of death squads in Iraq, was one of the two US representatives scheduled to meet with Russian officials to figure out a diplomatic solution to the carnage that Salvador Option Ford is responsible for.
I guess someone figured that diplomacy wasn’t the sociopath’s forte.
“The US Department of State announced on Monday that a meeting between Undersecretary Wendy Sherman and US ambassador to Syria Robert Ford and their Russian counterparts at The Hague was cancelled” Press TV
After being nominated in Feb. of 2010, Obama used a recess appointment in Dec. to make him his ambassador and Ford was sent to Syria in January of 2011 just two months prior to the “uprising” (read as “color revolution”) was starting to take shape.
Immediately, Ford took to posting pro-regime change comments on Facebook and Twitter and helped organize the foreign fighters being brought in from places like Libya and Jordan and Saudi Arabia. Once his involvement in the destabilization campaign became obvious to the Syrian government and bodies started to pile up, Obama brought him out of Syria and from then on Robert Ford ran the terrorist campaign from a safe vantage point in the State Department.
There had been no US diplomat in Damascus since 2005. Obama wanted him there to “look after US interests”
Ford is credited with helping to bring the Salvador Option to Iraq… “regime change through terrorism” in other words. He was Negroponte’s number 2 as they unleashed death squads across the country in 2005 which ultimately helped bring about the “surge” the Bush administration desperately needed.
“The Salvador Option” is a “terrorist model” of mass killings by US sponsored death squads. It was first applied in El Salvador, in the heyday of resistance against the military dictatorship, resulting in an estimated 75,000 deaths.’ Global Research
“In January 2005, following Negroponte’s appointment as US ambassador to Iraq, the Pentagon confirmed in a story leaked to Newsweek that it was “considering forming hit squads of Kurdish and Shia fighters to target leaders of the Iraqi insurgency in a strategic shift borrowed from the American struggle against left-wing guerrillas in Central America 20 years ago”. (El Salvador-style ‘death squads’ to be deployed by US against Iraq militants – Times Online, January 10, 2005)” Global Research
So Salvador Option Ford was sent to Syria to destabilize the country through violence and terrorism after orchestrating the same kind of carnage in Iraq.
He put together the early stages of the terrorist campaign, back when the MSM was still trying to call the crisis in Syria a “revolution”
He is a bloodthirsty cutthroat in a business suit without a shred of human decency or anything that resembles a moral center. The word “sociopath” seems to fit the bill. But that’s OK; he wasn’t chosen for the job for his diplomatic skill set.
Robert Ford is what John Perkins describes as a jackal, someone brought in after the economic hit-men fail to bring about regime change through bribery and corruption. They use any means necessary to bring about the desired goal whether it is the pacification of an unruly populous or the removal of an unfriendly president. Terrorism and carnage is their stock in trade. It is their craft.
And now that we have a “chemical weapons” attack, Salvador Option Ford doesn’t have to actually sit down with Russian officials (who know damn well what he is) and negotiate a solution to the problem he himself created.
How convenient, huh?
