M. Madigan, Ill. State Speaker, May Move to Impeach Blagojevich To Get His Daughter that Senate Seat

(You think we should have a look at that list of “acceptable candidates” that Rahm gave Blago’s people, before we allow this guy to shove the governor out of the way for his little girl’s benefit? Would that be wise, you think? If his daughter, Ill. AG Lisa Madigan, is on that list… Should we also consider the fact that Gov. Blagojevich fired the wife of Madigan’s Chief of Staff for lying about her educational background?  Should we also consider that Michael Madigan’s wife, and mother of Lias Madigan, Shirley Madigan is Chair of the Illinois Arts Council and that Blagojevich  drastically cut their funding recently?

Did you know Lisa Madigan is a political silver-spooner; born into the second most politically entrenched family in Illinois, second only to the Daleys?

Did you know that Lisa Madigan’s daddy has been a mainstay at the State House of Representatives since 1971 and that he has been Speaker of the House there since 1983?

Did you know that Lisa Madigan’s daddy used his position as Speaker of the Ill House to help collect more campaign contributions for his daughter’s run for AG in 2002 than all other candidates combined as well as the candidates for Governor?

Did you know that Lisa Madigan’s daddy was investigated by the Feds for having contacted the Chicago Union bosses before they threw their support behind Madigan’s little girl?

Did you know that Lisa Madigan’s daddy paid his staffers huge bonuses with taxpayer money, right before they took leave so they could go work “pro-bono” on his daughter’s campaign?)

Well, Well, Well… Maybe I am Not the Only One…

(The WSWS is reporting that MAYBE Fitzgerald’s rushed prosecution of Blagojevich has more to do with politics than it does with justice. Also mention are the EXTREMELY CONTROVERSIAL statements and actions made by Fitzgerald and Lisa Madigan in the wake of all this, in what appears to be an attempt to rush this case to judgement in the court of public opinion. Now if we can just get the WSWS to make the Bank of America connection, we will be getting somewhere.

Questions in the affair of Illinois Governor Blagojevich

…Both columns noted that Fitzgerald was violating ethics guidelines. The Justice Department requires that prior to a trial a “prosecutor shall refrain from making extrajudicial comments that pose a serious and imminent threat of heightening public condemnation of the accused.” The US district court for northern Illinois mandates that a “lawyer shall not make an extrajudicial statement the lawyer knows or reasonably should know is likely to be disseminated by public media and, if so disseminated, would pose a serious and imminent threat to the fairness of an adjudicative proceeding.”…

…The frenzy to remove Blagojevich from office as soon as possible is also remarkable….

…If there is a political motivation in the charges against Blagojevich, however, this could well involve a desire to protect a more important Democrat—President-elect Barack Obama. At least one top Obama aide, Congressman Rahm Emanuel of Chicago, Obama’s choice for White House chief of staff, was in contact with Blagojevich about the selection of Obama’s successor in the Senate…

Is the Ill. State AG Looking to Pay Blagojevich to Step Aside?

(Lisa Madigan, the Ill. Attorney General who’s father, Ill. State House Speaker, has been feuding with Blagojevich for years (over things like Pre-K for all kids and a Prescription Drug from Canada Program (Blago is FOR these things/ Madigan’s daddy is against them)) and who tried to twist the meaning of the Disability law to suit her needs in the Pending case against Rod (meaning she wants him to lose his job and have his career ruined BEFORE he is convicted of ANYTHING even after Patrick Fitzgerald came out Friday and said that they don’t have enough evidence to convict on the “Selling the Senate Seat” case…) is now apparently floating the idea that Blagojevich can step aside… AND KEEP HIS PAY. Which comes awful close to paying the guy off to step aside, now doesn’t it? And this woman is being held up as the HERO in this case by the Left? Has anyone stopped to ask if her name is on that list that Emanuel gave to Blago’s people of “acceptable” candidates to fill that Senate seat? Finding her name on that list would explain a lot, when it comes to understanding why an Attorney General is so willing to completely abolish the rule of law and “due process” in this case, now wouldn’t it?)
