Customs and Border Protection Officers Caught Dipping Their Beaks As Well

A NYT article just came out detailing over 200 arrests (with more to come) of border patrol agents who have been caught smuggling people, guns, and drugs over the border.

A branch of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the  Customs and Border Protection is one of the largest in the DHS, as it combines boarder agents and customs agent alike. When the DHS was formed in 2003, for some reason they thought it wise to dismantle the internal affairs unit, leaving the agency wide open for all kinds of hanky-panky.

Three States Subjected To “Martial Law Sweeps”

(All across America there is a shift in the dynamic of what they are calling “terrorism”. Because the previous terrorist arrests have resulted in the revelation that the “plots” were created and organized by agents working for whatever the law enforcement office was the ultimately made the arrest, and that the “plot and plan” would not have occurred without the informants efforts, they are now having to redefine the crime of  “terrorism”. With HR 1955 still out there, floundering around waiting to be passed into law, it really gives one reason to pause. Exactly what is in store for us “dissenters” in the very near future?)

Zero Accountability: The Effects of Trickle Down Greed

Milton Friedman’s lifelong ambition of seeing his “Brick” slammed squarely on the heads of the American taxpayer is coming to fruition. Punitive capitalism, a system that punishes the citizens (i.e. The criminal middle and working classes like you and me and 298 million other Americans),  in it’s grasp for not being CEO’s or from filthy rich families, is alive and well and being savagely defended in the United States by right wing pundits and quietly supported by left wing candidates, everyday.

Rampant corruption thrives under this administration since 9/11. Actually, one day before. A little known story that broke on Sept. 10^th 2001 was eaten up by the media blitz that started at 8:45am the day after. The Secretary of Defense spoke to the media about a record corruption investigation that showed some 2.3 trillion dollars had “gone missing” from the department of defense.
