The Staged Malala Yousafzai Story: Advocate for Globalist For-Profit Education Scam

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE Oct. 13, 2013 :

McKinsey & Co, Inc.: The Globalist Management Consulting Firm Behind the Malala For-Profit Charter School Psyop

UPDATE: Wow. Has this girl become completely obnoxious or what? She stands at the U.N. demanding for-profit charter school education FIRST from everyone. She sounds like a little Hillary Clinton and she’s only 16. What a difference between her and the young bright little girl in that video the New York Times made.  “Thousands of people have been killed by the TERRORISTS!” she exclaims. “So HERE I STAND!” she screeches “I speak not for myself but for those without voice can be heard” she reads off her little paper (no teleprompters in the U.N.?). How about she gives voice to all those kids murdered in drone strikes by the Obama administration’s CIA? How about giving a voice for those voiceless children? Nah, just rant about “the terrorists” little Hillary. Thanks for playing. Just for the record, most of those people at the U.N. knew what she was saying was complete crap. Kinda like when Bibi gives a speech there.

“Love Malala? Support girls education in Pakistan.”

says Ale Natiq employee of A4e, a company that will profit from the global charter system

(A4e is now what is called a “3rd sector” corporation. That means it’s paid for with your money to serve a privatized communal service but the profits go to private owner’s pockets. Otherwise known as “fascism”. In America we just call it “business”)

The ‘LOVE MALALA OR WE’LL KILL YOU!” psyop is far from over.

Her daddy got a plush job in Pakistan (her abusive father that is) and now she is scheduled to speak at the U.N. to bring her special kind of “strength” to 500 “young leaders” of the Youth Assembly.

Apparently her dreams of being a doctor are all but gone.

Her new ambition is for the U.N. Global Education First Initiative (“Clinton Global Initiative” anyone?) which promises to tax 1st world nations to the tune of billions and billions of dollars to pay for privately owned charter schools in troubled places like Pakistan where the public needs to learn to love Malala and the Western theories of neoliberal free markets.

“One can hardly pick up the paper without finding more evidence of the growing gap in learning achievement. Not only the gap between different income groups (let’s ignore that please) in different countries but also the widening gap between what is being taught in schools and the SKILLS that learners really need to succeed.” Opening statement Global Education First Initiative, June 11 2013

The U.N. Global Education First Initiative is all about teaching kids across the globe “the skills needed in the workplace”. Why bother wasting time giving kids a well rounded education when they are poor and never going to be more than an employee in some sweat-shop in Bangladesh? What they need to do is take tax money from people across the globe and spend it training future employees of the Fortune 500 companies. And they can make a nifty little profit in the mean-time.

The Staged Malala Yousafzai Story: Suffer the Little Children unto the Greater Good

“LOVE MALALA” baby!

“The way to see peace is through education. It is an honor for me to be associated with the U.N. I want to tell the world how important education is,” she said.

She added she wanted to be a leader and “to serve this whole world.” NBC News

But don’t worry, she isn’t alone in this little project to teach the kids of the world what they need to know to work at McDonald’s… the great and wonderful Angelina Jolie is helping her out…

Charter Schools Save Money? Think Again – $500,000 Bonus to a Failed Charter Principal

by Scott Creighton

student at Young’s Motel 6 High School

School didn’t have computers, a library or even cafeteria services and the money the for-profit school saved by cheating 181 kids out of a decent education, they apparently divided up among themselves when the gig was finally up in Orlando. Christ, according to their recent evaluation, they couldn’t even teach English!

When you think about charter schools, you think about someone trying to sell the “public/private partnership” in terms of saving taxpayers some money. It’s simply not true. It costs more per student to educate through a charter school system and most studies show the education they receive is rather substandard at best. No accountability, no morals.. the WalMartization of Education is at hand.

The Inconvenient Truth of Left Wing Fascists Like Rahm

by Scott Creighton

The liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerated the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than the democratic state itself. That in its essence is fascism: ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or any controlling private power.” FDR

In all my years of rants and ravings against the neoliberalization of this country and others, nothing makes me more angry than the ongoing efforts to privatize public education. There is nothing more insidious and contemptible than attempting to pocket profits from limiting the potential futures of young people in service of the oligarchs and the ruling class. When I see billionaires and multimillionaires like Oprah sitting around trying to spin a purely fascist policy like this as a viable option to the Pious Driving middle class liberals, it makes me as sick as watching Amy Goodman sell the Libyan and Syrian “humanitarian interventions”

Occupy the Education System: Students, Teachers and Parents Find New Spirit and Challenge the Attack on Public Schools

by Sarah Jaffe, Alternet

“I work hard, but my grades don’t matter. But I have a voice and I will be heard!”

Jordan is 13, and she’s speaking to a crowd of mostly adults, sitting on the granite steps of the New York City Department of Education at Tweed Hall. Or rather, she is speaking through them, as her words echo through the people’s mic used at Occupy Wall Street just few blocks south from where she’s speaking.

Tonight the steps of the DOE have been occupied and are packed with teachers, students, parents, and supporters holding a general assembly on the state of public education in New York.

DEBTOCRACY (FULL – ENG Subs)

Neoliberalism is a crime, it’s a crime against humanity, and it is the now the established religion of the elite and political classes.

As is pointed out in this film, even if this odious debt we face here is in fact completely legitimate, which of course it is not, but even if it is, it is immoral and illegal to kill a nation’s own people in order to pay it off. And that’s exactly what they are doing when they attack the social safety net, the public education system, Social Security, and the health care policies of America.

“What they are in effect saying is that they are going to default in their obligations to the Greek people. And I don’t understand how a social democratic, socialist popularly elected government can turn to it’s own voters and say “we are going to default on you rather than defaulting on the financial institutions”

Watch the movie.

The Federal Reserve Cartel: Part I: The Eight Families

(Another must read. Also read the post below by Michael Hudson.)

The Four Horsemen of Banking (Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase, Citigroup and Wells Fargo) own the Four Horsemen of Oil (Exxon Mobil, Royal Dutch/Shell, BP and Chevron Texaco); in tandem with Deutsche Bank, BNP, Barclays and other European old money behemoths. But their monopoly over the global economy does not end at the edge of the oil patch.

According to company 10K filings to the SEC, the Four Horsemen of Banking are among the top ten stock holders of virtually every Fortune 500 corporation.[1]

So who then are the stockholders in these money center banks?

This information is guarded much more closely. My queries to bank regulatory agencies regarding stock ownership in the top 25 US bank holding companies were given Freedom of Information Act status, before being denied on “national security” grounds. This is rather ironic, since many of the bank’s stockholders reside in Europe.

Replacing Economic Democracy with Financial Oligarchy

(A must read)

by Michael Hudson, Information Clearinghouse

Soon after the Socialist Party won Greece’s national elections in autumn 2009, it became apparent that the government’s finances were in a shambles. In May 2010, French President Nicolas Sarkozy took the lead in rounding up €120bn ($180 billion) from European governments to subsidize Greece’s unprogressive tax system that had led its government into debt – which Wall Street banks had helped conceal with Enron-style accounting.

New York City to lay off teachers, close fire companies, cut social programs

“This frontal attack on public education is highlighted by the fact that Bloomberg will allocate an increase of $139 million to charter schools next year.”

by Sandy English, WSWS

New York City’s billionaire Mayor Michael Bloomberg last Friday announced $600 million in budget cuts for the city’s Fiscal Year 2012, which will begin on July 1.

DemonstrationA recent protest in Manhattan against the education cuts

Bloomberg’s $65.77 billion proposed budget, which, according to law, must be balanced and approved by the city council by June 30, includes the elimination of over 6,000 teaching positions in the public schools, plans to close 20 fire companies and cuts to youth programs, homeless services, elder-care programs, continuing education programs, libraries and cultural organizations.

Over $500 million dollars will be eliminated from the city’s Department of Education. Out of the 6,166 teaching positions eliminated, 4,600 would be cut through the layoffs of teachers. The school system, the largest in the United States, has a million students and over 75,000 teachers.

Corporate Martial Law: Public Schools Auctioned Off to Highest Bidder

by Julianne Hing, AlterNet

If you’ve ever wondered whether the solution to a cash-strapped low-performing urban school district’s financial and education woes is the wholesale privatization of the public school system, you’re about to get your answer. Detroit, which is caught up in a state that has turned on its public workers, is auctioning off its public schools.

The city is taking applications as part of its Renaissance 2012 plan to put 45 public schools up for charter school takeover, and yesterday, the Detroit Free Press reported its gotten 18 charter school companies eyeing some 50 schools.

Ohio Union Bill Signed Into Law By John Kasich

from AP

Gov. John Kasich on Thursday signed into law a limit on the collective bargaining rights of 350,000 public workers, defying Democrats and other opponents of the measure who have promised to push for repeal.

His signature came a day after the measure was approved by the state House and Senate, which are led by his fellow Republicans.

The measure prompted weeks of pro-labor protests by thousands of people amid a national debate over union rights, keyed by a similar bill passed in Wisconsin and signed by the governor there.

The 350,000 public workers covered under the law can still negotiate wages and certain work conditions – but not health care, sick time or pension benefits. The measure also does away with automatic pay raises and bases future wage increases on merit.

It applies to teachers, nurses and many other government workers, including police and firefighters, who were exempt in the Wisconsin measure.

Power Concedes Nothing Without a Demand

by Chris Hedges, Truthdig

The liberal class is discovering what happens when you tolerate the intolerant. Let hate speech pollute the airways. Let corporations buy up your courts and state and federal legislative bodies. Let the Christian religion be manipulated by charlatans to demonize Muslims, gays and intellectuals, discredit science and become a source of personal enrichment. Let unions wither under corporate assault. Let social services and public education be stripped of funding. Let Wall Street loot the national treasury with impunity. Let sleazy con artists use lies and deception to carry out unethical sting operations on tottering liberal institutions, and you roll out the welcome mat for fascism.

The liberal class has busied itself with the toothless pursuits of inclusiveness, multiculturalism, identity politics and tolerance—a word Martin Luther King never used—and forgotten about justice. It naively sought to placate ideological and corporate forces bent on the destruction of the democratic state. The liberal class, like the misguided democrats in the former Yugoslavia or the hapless aristocrats in the Weimar Republic, invited the wolf into the henhouse. The liberal class forgot that, as Karl Popper wrote in “The Open Society and Its Enemies,” “If we extend unlimited tolerance even to those who are intolerant, if we are not prepared to defend a tolerant society against the onslaught of the intolerant, then the tolerant will be destroyed, and tolerance with them.”

Obama Pulls a Clinton

by Robert Sheer, Truthdig

Here we go again. When Bill Clinton suffered an electoral reversal after his first two years in office, he abruptly embraced the corporate money guys who had financed his congressional opposition in an effort to purchase a second term. On Tuesday in his Wall Street Journal Op-Ed piece, Barack Obama veered sharply down that same course, trumpeting his executive order “ … to remove outdated regulations that stifle job creation and make our economy less competitive. …”

He employed the same “creating a 21st-century regulatory system” rationalization used by Clinton when he signed off on the sweeping deregulation legislation that unleashed the Wall Street greed that ended up being the biggest job-killer since the Great Depression. “Over the (past) seven years, we have tried to modernize the economy,” Clinton enthused as he signed the Financial Services Modernization Act that repealed key New Deal legislation, adding, “And today what we are doing is modernizing the financial services industry, tearing down those antiquated laws and granting banks significant new authority.” Modernizing was the propaganda constant, as in the Commodity Futures Modernization Act that Clinton signed, thus shielding financial derivatives from any government regulation.

Capitalism and the War on Public Education

by Charles Sullivan, Information Clearinghouse

My own experience indicates that the average college student is more concerned with grades than with learning. Therefore grades are more of an impediment to learning than they are an accurate measure of it. Scoring well on tests is not an indication of comprehension of complex ideas or the thought processes behind them. Nevertheless, test scores are the Holy Grail of the school reform movement that is sweeping the country as part of a political agenda to privatize the public domain and put it under absolute corporate control.

Right-wing politicians of the Republican and Democratic parties are wrecking what remains of the public education system. They have been doing so for decades. Some of them are castigating it as socialist. Under the guise of reform, a movement is afoot to under fund public schools and replace them with ‘for profit’ charter schools. Firing qualified teachers and busting teachers unions is part of the process. College and University education is being priced out of the reach of working class people. We are witnessing the death of the liberal arts. The war on public education is a front in the broader class war that pits workers against owners and the working class against the wealthy.

Race To The Top: Obama Follows in Pinochet’s Footsteps

by Scott Creighton

Obama’s neoliberal “Race To The Top” program was nothing more than the federal government’s attempt to blackmail states into undermining their public education system for the benefit of the privitization of schools. Essentially it was the next step in the Bush administration’s “No Child Left Behind” program which set up the standardized tests that they used to claim the education system was failing. The “public” education system that is.

Proof of this overall neoliberal agenda hit close to home today as I read an article about my local county and their massive increase in new charter school applications.

You see, last week it was announced by dear old Gov. Charlie Crist that Florida had been selected as one of the “winners” in the second round of the “Race to the Top” program. The way they “won” was to “turn around failing schools”, and by that I mean they closed schools down (mostly in poor neighborhoods) and spent the money setting up for-profit “charter” schools. They also attacked the teacher’s union, which Crist himself mentioned in his celebration speech, but he said ultimately that was “ok’ because he got the head of the teacher’s union to agree to it. Charlie was just beaming with pride when he made the announcement.

So in the race to privatize everything in the new world order of the great Neoliberal Party, my state, Florida, is well out in front.  And to “reward” us the federal government, who has been deliberately underfunding public education for decades so that this day would surely come, will send us a check for around 700 million bucks.

Now, you think that money will be spent on the financially challenged public schools? Think again.
