Today’s episode deals with a special, high-end, high-octane sellout.
This one is a current member of the U.S. House of Representatives who made history by becoming the first woman to be named Speaker of the House. Her historic rise to the Speaker seat made us all feel a little better about being Americans.
Democrats had just won control of both houses of congress and we knew that the end of this horrible occupation was nearing an end. Finally, we were going to show these neo-con usurpers of the throne the meaning of democracy. How wrong we were….

This is probably going to be the hardest article to push the publish button, that I have ever written. Today’s sellout is someone you wouldn’t expect me to list in a hundred years. He was, and still is, considered a hero of immense proportions to many Americans, including me. No, I am not featuring Nancy Pelosi today (though she is very high on the list (hint for next week?)).
The number Two spot on this list, just under “Fightin Joe” Lieberman is a very special spot indeed. Here is a man who has always worked for the good of the people of this country; he has fought corporations on local, state, and federal levels, he has spoken in public about issues that many of his fellow democrats would like to keep mum; he boldly stood for accountability and justice when others turned a blind eye to protect their own asses. (that was your hint. and don’t look in the tags listed this time…)

Today we begin a new program at American Everyman; Get to Know a Sellout! Each week we will be selecting a new member for our “sellouts! list”, in order to highlight their fabulous accomplishments in the field of selling out their country, their constituents, and their honor, to the newly formed “business party elites”. These are special kinds of people whose efforts shouldn’t go unnoticed, in the event that the people of this country ever wake the fuck up.
And now for the big event… the first of the Get to Know a Sellout! list… the Mack-Daddy of All sellouts… (you have to look under the break (like looking under a rock) to see him (that’s a hint)…
