Jeremy Scahill’s True Colors Bleeding Through (or “Poo On Fire”)

Years in the making (ok… about 10 minutes) and at a cost of thousands of dollars (ok… it didn’t cost anything), the final work is completed at great personal risk (ok… I got poo on my hand) … art critics, be kind… I’m so vulnerable.)

Jeremy Scahill’s role as propagandist for the “left” is becoming clearer by the day.

In a short little offering of pro-war campaign copy he cobbled together for The Nation magazine, ”anti-Empire” reporter Jeremy Scahill is able to defend the use of drones, reduce the number of civilians they have killed, and help promote the falsehood about the Pakistan Taliban attacking us in New York (and therefore generate support for the Clinton/Obama desire to ”surge” into Pakistan) … all in one shot, in just a few paragraphs.  Karl Rove, eat your heart out.

Now I am not saying it isn’t ham-handed and obvious propaganda, but Scahill gets the job done quickly, in few words, so he can get back to pimping his book tour or picking out his new Green Zone dwelling, where-ever that may be.

You know, I might not have been completely convinced that Scahill was a globalist’s tool until I read this little gem. But now, there is no question. And he is still a douche bag.

The Fake “Global War on Terror” in a Nutshell

You want to go to war with Iran to shut down their competing pipeline and gain control of their nationalized oil fields? Falsely claim bin Laden is living in Iran…

You want to step up our illegal invasion of Pakistan in order to protect the progress of the Trans Afghan Pipeline? Falsely claim bin Laden is living in Pakistan…

BUT…

… if you want to protect the official narrative of the Global War on Terror and all the benefits it is providing for a certain class of wealthy elites…

BY ALL MEANS… make sure your future SUPREME COURT JUSTICE argues that NO ONE is allowed to investigate the Saudi link to funding al Qaeda, whether or not it is actually true… (and especially because it is true)

Elena Kagan, President Barack Obama’s latest nominee to the Supreme Court, helped protect the Saudi royal family from lawsuits that sought to hold al Qaeda financiers responsible in the wake of the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks.

The suits were filed by thousands family members and others affected by the Sept. 11 attacks. In court papers, they provided evidence that members of the Saudi royal family had channeled millions to al Qaeda prior to the bombings, often in contravention of direct guidance from the United States.

But Kagan, acting as President Obama’s Solicitor General, argued that the case should not be heard even if evidence proved that the Saudis helped underwrite al Qaeda, because it would interfere with US foreign policy with the oil-rich nation. She posited “that the princes are immune from petitioners’ claims” because of “the potentially significant foreign relations consequences of subjecting another sovereign state to suit.”  Raw Story

That last part deserves repeating…

The Global War on Terror in a nutshell: 

Invade nation after nation after nation on false pretenses justified by the false flag attack on Sept. 11th, 2001, but then as soon as someone is looking to investigate ACTUAL FACTS about how one of our ALLIES in the GWOT is helping finance the front group PATSIES created by the CIA and their asset bin Laden, you must shut down those 9/11 Victims Family members as quickly as possible from the highest levels of the CHANGE administration in order to preserve the reputation of the Saud family dictatorship in Arabia.

We invade nations based on the lie that they are connected to “al Qaeda” and we protect the one nation that we know is actually connected to and financing ”al Qaeda”. 

Does that about sum it up, or am I missing something?

Elena Kagan will be the next Supreme Court justice as she was just announced as President Obama’s choice to fill the seat of one of the last real liberals left on the Supreme Court, Justice John Paul Stevens.  The right won’t oppose her except in some sort of pretend way and the left is already doing strained back flips trying to make her into some kind of “pragmatic” liberal in disguise.  The only disguise she ever wore was the same one worn by Hilary Clinton and Bill Clinton and Barack Obama… i.e. the neoliberal Corporatist in Democrat Clothing disguise.  

Birds of a Feather?

It’s a shame because not only is Elena Kagan perhaps the most unqualified person to ever be nominated to the Supreme Court, but she is a neoliberal globalist hack who had the silver spoon of privilege surgically implanted in her Kagan rectum at birth. To say that the court may “move to the right” when she is confirmed is a bit like saying Cheney “stretched the truth a little” about Iraq. It’s a laughable and contemptuous understatement that exposes one’s cynical sycophantic approval of the systemic rot that infects our country.
