Leon Panetta has announced that they will be stepping up drone strikes and black bag operations in Africa and everywhere else including “outside declared combat zones’ due to the “terrorist attack’ on the CIA consulate in Benghazi this past Sept. 11th

Panetta’s declaration is one that Cheney would certainly have been proud of. He is stating that “we” will be running unconventional warfare black ops against all kinds of targets even outside declared combat zones meaning that our Special Forces Ops will be hitting “leftist” targets, people who organize labor or resistance to our imperial project in their nations. We will simply be kicking in their doors at 3 am and dragging them out to never be seen or heard from again.

In 2003 during the run-up to the Iraq invasion and occupation (a.k.a. Shock and Awe and Full Spectrum Dominance) when the Bush administration wasn’t busy creating cartoonish drawings of fictitious cave complexes or prepping Colin Powell to lie to the Security Council, they tried to justify their attack with documents like this one titled “Saddam Hussein’s Support for International Terrorism.”

Seymour Hersh has an interesting article in the New Yorker magazine about how the Joint Special Operations Command conducted training starting in 2005 for members of the Mujahideen-e-Khalq, the MEK for short. The MEK is a known terrorist organization listed as such by the U.S. government. His article is well sourced and seems to be accurate at least, that’s what people like Glenn Greenwald are saying.

I recently wrote about the MEK and how leading political figures in this country are pushing to have them removed from the list of known terrorist organizations so they can be funded by us to commit terrorist acts inside Iran on behalf of the Israeli government.

Training and funding terrorists to attack civilian targets and infrastructure inside various countries that don’t look after our “national interests” the way we want them to is nothing new for the CIA and those kinds of capitalist “heroes” we have running our show.

Just ahead of the Parliamentary Elections in Iran, Israel is once again stepping up their terrorist rhetoric in order to send another frightening message to the people of that sovereign nation.

Israeli officials have openly called for a starvation campaign against the civilian population of Iran in order to stop them from building a nuclear weapon which they are not building. Muslims, Christians, Jews and everyone else should suffer and starve to death to protect Israel from non-existent WMDs.

Not only would the application of such a program be considered a terrorist act (and one which brings to mind a certain dark chapter in 20th century fascist horror) but the threat itself is itself an act of terrorism.

As expected, the corporatist media is silent on the obvious irony of such a horrific statement coming from the leaders of the self proclaimed “Jewish State”. This is Israel’s Iranian Solution.

CNN’s Arwa Damon is at it Again – Filing Fake Reports About Syria

One day after Glenn Greenwald declared that CNN’s Erin Burnett was the “worst of the worst” of the lying war-mongering talking heads on corporate media, CNN’s Arwa Damon throws her hat back in the ring with a more than despicable challenge to the title.

A quick note about Arwa before we get into her new chicken hawk efforts: I exposed a fraudulent little pro-war/regime change bit she did a while back in June of 2011. She went somewhere (probably Bahrain) and filmed what she claimed was a refugee camp for Syrians suffering under the Assad led government. It was complete bullshit, but she did manage to exploit some little kids who were there, brought by their paid parents no doubt, trying to make them seem frightened and lost. They looked at her as if she was an idiot.

Arwa really likes using children to try to help spur another brutal NATO bombardment of civilian targets, this time in Syria. She must get paid well or have absolutely no conscience what-so-ever. To use children as pawns in an effort to bring about a military invasion which will undoubtedly kill and maim children in the process is morally reprehensible.

Iran Targets Weakest of EU Members (PIIGS) with their Counter Sanctions Plan in Order to Threaten Entire European Union

Press TV has announced that Iran is going to cut oil supplies to 6 of the EU nations that voted to support the US/British oil and banking sanctions imposed on Iran last month including Netherlands, Spain, Italy, France, Greece and Portugal. Notice something interesting there? The countries are mainly the nations designated as the “PIIGS” countries that the EU and European Central Bank so called them due to their poor economic standing after the bank-made global economic crisis of 2008: Portugal, Ireland, Italy, Greece, and Spain (PIIGS). Only Ireland has been left off that list of countries who will feel the brunt of Iran’s counter sanction proposal.

This announcement has been made prior to Iran’s parliament’s approval of the bill enacting this counter sanction into law, but few would anticipate the defeat of such a measure.

Is it a coincidence that the weakest of the EU nations and two of the leading globalist movers and shakers are being targeted by the Iranian plan? Of course not. The obvious threat here is to seriously weaken the economies of these 4 troubled nations and in so doing, blow the EU completely apart. Everyone understands that Greece alone nearly brought the EU to a crippled end and now, with Greece and the three other weakest economies in the cross hairs, it would seem that Iran’s plan to combat the dishonest sanction campaign is to target them where they are weakest and thus topple the EU in the process.

When every single MSM “news” outlet is on the same page, reporting “activist said” unsubstantiated propaganda pertaining to Libya, Somalia and Syria as unquestionable fact, the current administration is free to do whatever they want with no fear of reprisal from their so-called “progressive” supporters. That means the Obama administration of “CHANGE” is able to openly continue yet another horrendous and illegal policy of the Bush administration, the neoliberalization of several state centered nations, unencumbered by the inherent restrictions of democracy ie the “will of the people” who would never support premeditated invasions and occupations of other nations for the express interests of multinational corporations and financial institutions.

Beyond Pretense: The Global Free Market Wars Finally Acknowledged (and another U.S.S. Liberty event on the horizon?)

UPDATE: After all attempts to frame Iran have failed thus far, a Jerusalem Post article (written by a former Israeli intelligence officer turned Operation Mockingbird style “journalist“) suggests Iran will provide the needed pretext for the war themselves by attacking a U.S. warship. Get that? They failed to frame Iran for everything from rigged elections to 9/11 and now, out of the blue, they expect Iran will make the unusually stupid move of attacking a U.S. warship and setting themselves up for regime change and perhaps a million dead Iranians in the process.

A Prison Planet article about this frightening prediction mentions Gulf of Tonkin and the USS Maine false flag attacks but for some reason never mentions the prolonged Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty (see details at the end of this article) which looked to pull us into their conflict with Egypt until a Russian sub was spotted nearby watching the hours long attack and the Liberty simply refused to sink. Go figure.

UPDATE 2: Chris Mathews covered the Israeli assassination of the Iranian nuclear scientist yesterday. You might think that is good, but it is not because of HOW they covered it; they are setting up a narrative explaining WHY the Iranians would launch a military attack of some kind against the U.S. Navy. And that is EXACTLY the same thing the Jerusalem Post wrote about the other day.

The story line according the Hardball goes something like this:

• The Obama administration doesn’t want a conflict with Iran (even though it’s obvious that they do want a regime change in Iran)
• The new sanctions on Iran are making them desperate (even though South Korea, China, North Korea, Venezuela, Russia, Pakistan, India and others are not going to abide by them, and neither is Halliburton for that matter)
• The Israeli attack on a nuclear scientist is going to prompt Iran to attack the U.S. (even though they know it was not the U.S. that killed their scientist and even though there are Israeli ships in the Gulf as well as U.S. ships)
• There are mentions of Iran firing a missile at a U.S. warship or mining the Straight of Hormuz (does that remind anyone of the Cheonan incident, or is it just me?)
• Israel will then “help” the United States and be the good guys by striking back at Iran.

Mathews and Hardball are not helping us by exposing the underlying truth in this situation but rather they are laying the groundwork for the official narrative of another false flag attack even before it plays out. The Iranians would never launch an attack on a US warship because Israel killed another of their scientists. That premise is ludicrous at best. And yet, there it is.

UPDATE 3: British Prime Minister has gone to meet with the Saudi Royal family just days after the Saudi ruling regime killed protesters and hours after the British issue a warning to their citizens about traveling to that region due to “conflicts” escalating.

UPDATE 4: According to the complicit MSM, an “independent news service” known as irannuc.ir is claiming that the Iranian people buried the nuclear scientist chanting “death to the US. death to Israel” and they claim that Iran (quoting unnamed sources) is planning an attack against the West in retaliation. Of course the only videos of the burial show mourners saying “death to the terrorists”

It appears the “independent news service” (read as US financed destabilization campaign NGO) is helping to push the “Iran is going to attack” narrative.

This irannuc propaganda is already on Fox News and MSN alike.

Destabilization Campaigns

After being demonized for months for not letting Arab League observers into Syria, the Assad government has allowed them to come see what’s really happening in their country. Terrorists attacked an area as the observers advance team showed up last Saturday. They were hoping to derail the process but the observers showed up anyway and now that they are there, their leader has made it clear that they saw “nothing frightening” in Homs, supposedly the epicenter of all that violence, at least that’s what “activists say” journalism has been reporting in the MSM. The MSM seem to side with the al Qaeda linked Syrian opposition when they claim it was an “inside job“

Advocates of War With Iran Take Some Media Hits

Advocates of a hot war with Iran have just taken some heavy hits from a Harvard professor of international relations and two prominent journalists.

Harvard’s Professor Stephen Walt has savaged an article in the forthcoming “Foreign Affairs” magazine(Jan.-Feb.)  by Matthew Kroenig titled, “Time to Attack Iran: Why a Strike Is the Least Bad Option.” Kroenig is an Assistant Professor of Government at Georgetown University who wrote:

“The truth is that a military strike intended to destroy Iran’s nuclear program, if managed carefully, could spare the region and the world a very real threat and dramatically improve the long-term national security of the United States.”

Calling this “a remarkably poor piece of advocacy,” Harvard’s Walt writes that Kroenig “makes the case for war by assuming everything will go south if the U.S. does not attack and that everything will go swimmingly if it does. This is not fair-minded ‘analysis’; it is simply a brief for war designed to reach a predetermined conclusion,” Walt writes of the “Foreign Affairs” piece.
