A minute of silence kicked off the proceedings, and then the reps and buyers turned to ensuring that Bangladesh, which has some of the world’s most poorly paid garment workers, wins the race to the bottom of low-wage countries. Mali and AFRICOM’s Africa Agenda: Target China - “Out of the blue in the last days Mali has suddenly become the focus of world attention. France has been asked to militarily intervene by Mali’s government to drive Jihadist terrorists out of the large parts of the country they claim. What the conflict in Mali really is about is hardly what we read in the mainstream media. It is about vast untapped mineral and energy resources and a de facto re-colonization of French Africa under the banner of human rights. The real background reads like a John LeCarre thriller.”

Has someone forgotten to tell the UN that Israel does not obey National Law? They have to remove illegal settlers? LOL… according to Israel, none are illegal…
but let’s see how that ‘ruling’ flies…
Well, at least they’re trying…
Yeah, everybody’s talking about the Israeli strike. Yet again. But in light of the French adventure in Mali, and of the Neocon wars, we just have yet another proof of the truism that on the international scene, might makes right.
What really amazed me with Israel was their strike on Turkey three years ago – the Mavi Marmara incident. That was an act of war and an act of piracy – international waters, unprovoked, the works. But Turkey is in NATO. An attack on one member is an attack on all members. So in the last 25 years, Iraq, Syria, Libya, Afghanistan and Pakistan have NOT attacked NATO, while Israel, and only Israel, HAS attacked NATO. This is an amazing state of affairs, all the more so because the Israelis used the arms NATO keeps giving them to attack NATO. The warhawks seem to fail to notice this discrepancy.
Anyway, the charter school “movement” is interesting… The obvious insane goal seems to be the privatization and destruction of the public school system. The funny thing is that the public school system has become so stunningly decrepit that one wonders how anyone could come up with anything worse.
I don’t know about you guys, but if I have kids, I’m not sending them to a public school. I mean if I lived in Germany (where home school is forbidden), I’d emigrate just to avoid public school. What if we start making our own “charter schools” for our own children? I don’t see how we can do any worse than the public schools and the for profit charter schools. Some huge percentage of people today don’t know that America fought England in the Revolutionary War, where France is, and when the Civil War was. If kids fail to learn that in 12 years of school, something’s horribly, abysmally wrong…
Very good work compiling the articles, Scott, thank you! That interview you did recently was also interesting. Have you considered doing weekly talks to be posted up on YouTube?
Thank you.
Yeah, people made some donations and I got some editing software, a faster video card and a semi-good webcam with a mic built in. I started doing one a week ago and got disgusted with my voice. I hate my voice. Got to get over that. But I will be doing some kind of weekly news video starting maybe this coming week.
I haven’t been doing the Neoliberal News of the Day for a while and I wanted to get back into that. It’s a good way to get people to see news stories that slip under the radar. Thanks for the comment.
Scott,
I often listen to audio shows you participate in on =The Jungle Apocalypse/ Conspiracy HQ=, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with your voice. You happen to have a very pleasant voice! I cannot begin to understand how you could believe otherwise.
This is very clearly some sort of personal hang-up that needs to be addressed!
I agree…
No one likes the sound of their voice… Get over it and keep talking
Here’s one you may want to look into.
From a comment by andie…
Regarding the massive explosion in the Pemex building in Mexico City, just a few hours before it happened, the Mexican President said NO to privatization of Pemex, the Mexican national oil company.
So, I am assuming they rig these attacks in anticipation of getting the “wrong answer”

could it have been a drone strike?
Russia Says ‘Deeply Concerned’ Over Israeli Airstrike In Syria
“On Wednesday, the Syrian army said two people were killed and five others injured in an Israeli airstrike on a research center in Jamraya, near the capital, Damascus. Israel declined to comment on the issue.”
Probably -someone- will now attack Georgia’s Krtsanisi National Training Center, just south of Tbilisi. Fasten your seat belts.
Hate to do it, but I might have to try and find one of those Army issue web belts I used to have to wear—not the ones that carry the bayonets, canteens, ammo pouches, etc, but the ones that hold up pants. Leather just ain’t working for me anymore. Too rigid, stiff—cuts into the wrong places.
Maybe I can think of it as a baby step in the Pathopsychology of Peace, but it reeks more of a health/comfort thing.
One thing, for sure—If I get one, I swear I’ll never fucking polish the buckle. Let that brass turn whatever color it will.
