Mockingbird Michael Moore Praises CIA Propaganda Film “Dark Thirty”

by Scott Creighton

Michael Moore. Oh how I wish I never paid a nickel to see one of his bullshit movies. I wonder if it’s worth it to sue the fat bastard for fraud.

Michael Moore is out on the now Goldman Sachs linked Huffington Post singing the praises for the film the CIA and the White House practically wrote just after their botched phony raid on the ghost of bin Laden. He’s defending the film claiming it doesn’t justify torture, when in fact, it clearly does and Moore knows it. He also makes the ridiculous and now completely unsubstantiated  claim that President Obama stopped Bush’s torture program when he came to office.

The only stoppage of that little unspoken habit was when Obama had to take time off to plan his indefinite detention and global battlefield provision and sit around on Terror Tuesdays trying to figure out who he could kill with his remote controlled death squads from above toy. None of that is mentioned in the Mockingbird movie Michael is raving about. Talk about a fat suck-up.

“… Word then comes down that — get this! — we can’t torture any more! The CIA agents seem a bit disgruntled and dumbfounded. I mean, torture has worked soooo well these past eight years! Why can’t we torture any more??? The answer is provided on a TV screen in the background where you see a black man (who apparently is the new president) and he’s saying, in plain English, that America’s torturing days are over, done, finished.” Michael Moore 1/25/2013

“The CIA played a key role in shaping the film’s narrative, corresponding with the filmmakers to negotiate favorable access to a movie that one CIA official described as “get[ting] behind the winning horse” of the “first and biggest” movie about the Bin Laden raid, according to internal CIA emails obtained by Judicial Watch. The White House gave its blessing as well, calling it the most “high profile” project to date, and suggesting it get more “visibility,” as one White House official wrote. When the screenwriter, Mark Boal, met with the CIA at their headquarters in Langley, Virginia, for a meeting scheduled on Friday, 9:30 AM on May 20th, only 19 days after the assassination, he was accompanied by Michael Feldman of the Glover Park Group, a Washington consulting firm specializing in “strategic communications,” according to the CIA emails. The director, Kathryn Bigelow, also visited Langley to “meet the people Mark had been talking too,” another CIA official noted.” BuzzFeed Jan. 8, 2013

“… The men are the latest example of how the Obama administration has embraced rendition — the practice of holding and interrogating terrorism suspects in other countries without due process — despite widespread condemnation of the tactic in the years after the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks.” Washington Post, Jan 1, 2013

Moore’s disingenuous claim in support of this CIA Mockingbird film is that once ObamaGod came to office, he put his foot down on torture and the CIA had to turn to pure “police work” to find the long dead Osama bin Laden. Here’s the photoshopped “dead bin Laden” picture they circulated through congress trying to convince lawmakers they actually killed him. It was exposed about a half an hour after it was leaked to the “internets” and afterwards Obama claimed all the evidence they had that Osama was actually killed in the raid had to remain a secret. You can understand why, can’t you?

A couple days later, they met with Vichy Hollywood types to make a movie since we all know Hollywood would never lie to us about something like this except for that little period in the early 1900s when every silent film was propaganda supporting our involvement in WWI and then again in the 1950s when Hollywood couldn’t make a film that wasn’t about demonizing the evil communists or the 1980s when everything was about the reds parachuting into your backyard looking to shoot high school kids. I mean, aside from that long history of serious lies and propaganda… Vichy Hollywood would never lie to us.

Would you like to see the only evidence ever released and ever too be released by the administration that they actually found and killed Osama bin Laden? I’ll show it to you for free. No movie ticket, no CIA writers needed. Here it is…

That is the totality of the evidence that Barack Obama actually got bin Laden. Anything else is just propaganda written by the CIA and spin doctors working to help bolster credibility for the current administration.

As is the case with all of the other “CHANGE” promises we were fed, this “end torture” claim is just plain silly if not rudely insulting to our collective intelligence.

After all, we’re talking about an administration that claims the right to use the U.S. military to arrest, detain, and hold U.S. citizens and everyone else in the entire world indefinitely or until the end of the Global War on Terror (the Global Free Market Wars)

“This section of the NDAA, signed into law by Obama on Dec. 31, 2011, obliterates some of our most important constitutional protections. It authorizes the executive branch to order the military to seize U.S. citizens deemed to be terrorists or associated with terrorists. Those taken into custody by the military, which becomes under the NDAA a domestic law enforcement agency, can be denied due process and habeas corpus and held indefinitely in military facilities. Any activist or dissident, whose rights were once protected under the First Amendment, can be threatened under this law with indefinite incarceration in military prisons, including our offshore penal colonies. The very name of the law itself—the Homeland Battlefield Bill—suggests the totalitarian credo of endless war waged against enemies within “the homeland” as well as those abroad.

“The essential thrust of the NDAA is to create a system of justice that violates the separation of powers,” Mayer told the court. “[The Obama administration has] taken detention out of the judicial branch and put it under the executive branch.” Criminalizing Dissent, Chris Hedges, Aug 2012

The NDAA’s  dangerous detention provisions would authorize the president — and all future presidents — to order the military to pick up and indefinitely imprison people captured anywhere in the world, far from any battlefield. ACLU Feb. 2012

And if that wasn’t bad enough, the fact that our pragmatic Peace Prizing “winning” president claims he can use the military on U.S. soil to snatch up dissidents along with literally ANYONE ELSE on the globe willy-nilly, the fact is, he would rather just kill them with drones and hell-fire missiles from 10,000 feet above a foreign country we aren’t at war with.

That’s the reality Mr. Moore and other Dark Thirty apologists like him seem to forget.

So the blustering Mockingbird Moore, the pretend ball-cap wearing “everyman” multi-millionaire, is shillin once again for ObamaGod. Not news really.

When I get a few spare bucks maybe I’ll do a Youtube video where I burn some of Moore’s trash propaganda films just for the fun of it. and too think I thought Moore was serious about universal heathcare. What a dupe I was.

There’s nothing quite like a millionaire phony liberal pretending to care about the poor and downtrodden while actively supporting torture, propaganda, drone strikes and dead kids in far away lands.
