CBC’s Evan Solomon Ambushes Pakistani Political Opposition Leader Imran Khan

by Scott Creighton

UPDATE: To put this in a current events context, Canada and Israel have called for the resignation of UN investigator Richard Falk due to his report which details Israel’s violations of international law in Gaza and the West Bank and his suggestion that civil society and UN nations boycott businesses profiting from the results of those violations in the West Bank and East Jerusalem which are occupied territories. Canada has really taken a turn for the worse.

The thread running through Solomon’s ambush is a familiar one. What he is apparently doing is attempting to dismiss Khan because of the inherent threat the man presents and that is that he will promote a new independent nationalism in Pakistan, a step away from the master, the U.S., and it’s Vichy nations like Canada for instance. Independent nationalism is terrorism in the eyes of the Global War on Terror apologists. They are one and the same but only you can’t say that. But it is the truth. Has been for quite some time.

Watch the video of the interview at the end of this article and tell me what you think.

You have to see this. CBC’s Evan Solomon launches an ambush on a highly popular political opposition leader from Pakistan Imran Khan on live TV. He has a bunch of disinformation accusations he levels at Khan right off the bat and even prepped some quotes taken out of context to back up his allegations. He even tries to beat Khan over the head with the Malala psyop. Khan handles it very well indeed.

Khan explains to the shill that all he seeks is a political solution to the conflict in Northern Pakistan. For this they label him Taliban Khan. He also rightly explains that every opposing faction in Pakistan is mistakenly labeled “the Taliban”. I can now understand what he means seeing as how anyone questioning the validity of the Malala psyop (which of course Solomon begins this segment talking about trying to get Khan to bow down at the alter of Malala) including myself here in the States, is immediately labeled as being either the Taliban or a Taliban sympathizer.

Khan wishes to disengage from the fabricated War on Terror and engage the people of the Tribal areas. He is talking about working as a politician to win the people of the Tribal areas over, bringing them into a discussion, using inclusion rather than drone strikes and death squads to finally put an end to the deadly turmoil in Pakistan.

To this, Solomon goes back to using his “blunt object Malala psyop” to bludgeon Khan again:

Solomon: “But does this approach prevent you from condemning what happened to this 15 year old girl Malala?”

Khan responded perfectly: “Can I again repeat. I am the only political leader who condemned the Taliban after the Malala incident from the hospital. I did a press conference. Anyone can see the press conference. This is just blatant propaganda going on because anyone who advocates peaceful solution is branded pro-Taliban.”

I do not know enough about Khan to suggest he be the next president of Pakistan but he does make one thing clear, that he would be a friend of the U.S. not a stooge. He answered such when asked about how he would behave toward America if made president.

Personally I think the question itself is insulting. Why does anyone ask if a candidate would be favorable to another nation when they run for office? To me it’s the same thing as asking each and every candidate in the U.S., be them running for president or dog catcher, if they would be a friend of Israel.

When asked by Solomon about his previous statement about shooting down U.S. drones over Pakistan, Khan basically replied “what would Canada do if someone were flying drones over your territory and bombing and killing your citizens?”

Solomon wraps up his pathetic West-centric ambush by asking Khan who he hopes will win the U.S. election. Khan replied he hoped someone would win who will stop the Global Free Market Wars (my words) and Solomon reminded him that both Obama and Romney supported drone attacks. Khan told him he knows that.

He also told him that drone attacks and targeted murder are not the way civilized nations deal with terrorism. Remember back in the day when we on the left over here said the exact same thing? Ah the good old days when the neocons were all on the right and the left had a soul and a spine to go with it.

Here’s the pathetic Solomon ambush and Khan’s commendable efforts to get his message of peace across to the Canadian people.

  1. What a creep that interviewer is, Imran handles him brilliantly.

  2. And isn’t that the truth! What nation would allow another nation’s drones to fly over and murder citizens?
I like his answer to who he wants to become President in the next American election!

  3. CBC has really gone down hill since Harper became PM. Harper is a uber zionist and a traitor to his country. If the fascist’s version of Canada is the “reality”, it makes me ashamed to be a Canadian.

  4. well even without viewing it it sounds like the ‘free press’ is an agent of state propaganda….so what else is new why did Khan even consent to be interviewed? why not take the offensive and charge agencies like CBC as agents of a foreign power?

  5. “Why didn’t they talk to them [the Taliban] in the first place?!!”

I loved your interview, Mr. Khan, but I hope you know that the dominant globalist powers thrive on constant war. It’s the best way to increase profits and control after all…

  6. friend of the US? what does this mean? friend of the US people or friend of the US regime?

  7. To be fair, at least the CBC interviewer gave Khan the opportunity to put his side across and he covered his ass by not appearing to support Khan’s message. His bosses are probably spitting feathers but cannot accuse him of willful sabotage of western propaganda.

  8. Friend of the zionist to be more precise
