This show trial, this kangaroo court, is devolving into a farce. Remember when the judge explained that disclosing the facts would cause “untold harm to the case“? Remember when the Mayor of Aurora said “there is something seriously wrong with the case“? Remember how they refused to release Holmes’ booking photo and claimed they never would, only to release a booking photo taken days after his arrest just before his first and only televised hearing? Remember the first story of the “stick figure drawing confession” book? Remember the second? Remember on Hardball that the only eyewitness to identify the man who walked out of the theater talking on the cell phone expressly did not identify him as James Holmes?
And while we’re at it, please remember that they haven’t released security camera footage from the Century 16 theater that night and they avoid any question that relates to them.
Also remember that whoever was arrested that night in the back of the Century 16 Theater, by all accounts including the police dispatch recordings, was incapacitated in the car and the police had to break out a window to gain access to him.
But the show trial of James Holmes rolls on anyway and their efforts to try him in the court of public opinion are becoming more convoluted by the day.
Prosecutors have dropped their attempt to gain access to the so-called “stick figure drawing confession” book allegedly sent by James Holmes to his doctor just before the Aurora Massacre took place early Friday morning July 20th 2012.
Now that the supposed “evidence” has done it’s work, being used by the establishment to falsely attribute a confession to Holmes, it is no longer needed and would perhaps even discredit the prosecution and the law enforcement “sources” that leaked the story in the first place.
There is a new photo of Holmes which truly belongs in the “weird mugshot” file. Apparently someone decided to have “James” try his best to look as much like the old photo as he could.
The only reason to have another booking photo is to be able to release a pic that looks more like the old Holmes picture. Unfortunately, it seems they were making it a bit obvious.
Look, I’ve been to jail, I know. They don’t take new booking photos if they hit you with new charges while in custody. Sometime guys I knew didn’t know they had new charges till they were in court.
The reason they gave him those new charges was so they could take this photo and release it in response to the growing consensus that the guy in jail doesn’t look like the old pictures of James Holmes.
They made him up to resemble the photo and then they had him smirk and make a face, like the one in the photo, so it would look the same as the older picture.
It’s obvious.
But talk about obvious freak-shows…
Now we have some woman opportunist named “Marie” running around saying she heard James confess while in his holding cell. This woman is full of shit. If she had anything of value to offer the prosecution, she would be giving testimony to a grand jury or making a deposition. Instead, she’s using a fake name (thinking in her ignorant way that it won’t take 4chan or ATS less than a day to know everything about her) trying to sell her story to whatever “news’ organization will allow someone to make unsubstantiated claims about someone else while using a fake name.
Turns out her name appears to be Desiree Mayberry of Denver Co. Who needs 4chan when you’ve got committed readers like the ones here… (thanks guys, you especially meesh, good find)
The fact that she uses her pinkie and her thumb to show us she’s talking about a phone call should sum it all up for you.

Just for the record, were this individual to have actually heard Holmes admit to killing those people (Remember, a sheriff’s deputy said weeks ago that Holmes had no idea why he was there…) then she would be the biggest state’s witness in Colorado’s history. She would not be out talking to some ridiculous local news crew, she would be under the gag order in protective custody awaiting the trial.
This whole thing is turning into a freak show, folks.

Scott, would you expand on why they’d want to replicate his school photo just because some on the interweb are saying it’s two different people? If it is the same person, why try and replicate the photo, just to shut up some conspiracy theorists? Or possibly just some psychological purpose for the dumbed-down mass media consumers?
Well, the obvious answer to that question may be that the only reason to go to such trouble is because it isn’t the same guy.
I hate to say this again, but look at my writing on the Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab case. The underwear bomber case or as I like to call it the “Diaper of Doom’ story.
They didn’t need that banker’s son to take the actual fall for the psyop. They needed a person who’s story fit the background they needed, but they seem to have switched Umar for some drugged out kid.
There were no photos of the guy after the arrest. The booking photo seems to have been taken somewhere else. No photography equipment allowed in the courtroom, just childish little drawings.
The ONLY picture of the guy on the plane was published with his face blurred out so you couldn’t see who it was.
The banker’s son was wealthy, spoke several languages, flew internationally many many times.
The guy they put on the plane (and they did have to put him on the plane) was said to look poor, very young, drugged, and could not understand the language and he didn’t have a passport apparently.
Does that describe the banker’s son? No. Not at all…. and they blurred out the photo of him on the plane and they didn’t allow cameras in the courtroom.
And of course, this is the same administration that managed that psyop.
Is it possible that all they needed was the guy’s name and background to make the story and it’s some drugged out kid who they found in a database that looks similar to Holmes? Is it possible that this is the reason the parents aren’t raising holy hell about this farce of a trial?
I don’t know. You tell me. Why would they go through the hassle of making yet another booking photo (when they still won’t release the first) when they had the first one?

Down the rabbit hole. When people go down the rabbit hole too fast they get dizzy. When people get dizzy they lose focus and interest, fast. It’s a frailty of the human condition. One that’s taken advantage of again and again in the ‘shock and awe’ tactics. Truth may indeed inevitably prove to be stranger than fiction. But, the Batman/Aurora event had ‘credibility gaps’. Credibility gaps, that as time goes on, seemingly become more glaring. What’s more, there’s also the little matter of what we could call ‘heart’. People, some not normally or previously drawn to looking closely at these type of ‘events’, were drawn to this. A matter of ‘heart’. Try explaining that.
True. I thought conspiracy theorists were “crazy” prior to this. But my gut told me something was off when they showed his school ID photo on the news, I started following this story, and now I basically don’t believe anything I have previously believed in. It’s been a real eye-opener.
I agree with both of you. I was a conspiracy theorist before but not as dedicated. I’ve been sleuthing every day since. Even when I try to convince myself he did it, I inevitably end up here. I really think the photo was an attempt to make him look evil, not crazy. If I saw him in a dark alley like that, you bet your a$$, I’d be running. The guy we originally saw in court did not look like he was in any shape to pull off a well executed shooting. In fact seeing him drugged up in court is what put me over the edge in wanting to know a lot more about this case and all the things that don’t even come close to adding up. This photo looks tougher and sinister (because of the smirk, shaved head, and looks like gained a few pounds).

Its tough to speculate on a motive at this point, I got the feeling he may have been too smart for his own good since holmes was anti-medication, from his writings it looks like specifically he was against anti-psychotic meds. I’m sure it wouldn’t take long to draw attention to yourself on a government-funded Medical campus, especially if you’re a first year elite-academic with a military research grant and your writing brilliant papers according to professors as late as spring, totally against anti-psych drugs for children, perhaps he found out his research was for military-applications or pharmaceutical industry in general. How cruel and ironic it would be if it was him in jail all plump full of anti-psychotic meds, by the looks of it.
Or his parents are being blackmailed, and if it really isn’t Holmes in jail I’d say him being swapped is a possibility.

i know this has nothing to do with the conversation but i needed to point out a couple of things that i noticed.First one is i noticed his window on his car has limo tint on the side windows. so there is no way they could even see into his car at night,It would even be hard to see him through the windshield at night.
julie, in back of the theater, there were plenty of street lights…. and the police have heavy duty flashlights…. . it may have been night time but lit up like a bright day where his car was parked.
another thing i noticed was the video of his former class mate and the other person of interest pyeom lee is doing a presentation on stem cell research.Is it possible that James Holmes was also studying the same thing?
I think it’s definitely the same guy, but they needed to further solidify the public opinion of Holmes as a “psychokiller” by releasing a terrifying photo of him and thereby nail the lid on the coffin of any burgeoning sympathy anyone may have had for him. I must admit, for a second or two after viewing the mugshot, I was so surprised that I temporarily forgot about the myriad evidence that indicates he wasn’t the shooter. The person who said they made him look as much like Jared Loughner as possible was spot-on. He doesn’t look lost and confused in this photo; he looks like he’s enjoying himself.
Also, something even more sinister: I think there’s probably evidence or witness testimony that describes someone participating in the attacks with facial hair that is much like Holmes has now. Or maybe the video footage of someone picking up packages at the post office shows a dude that has short brown hair and a beard like Holmes . . .but isn’t Holmes. They need the public to get used to seeing Holmes as he is in this new mugshot so they will not question any grainy video or surveillance photos conjured up from the past. Or, perhaps they needed to show that Holmes could very easily have grown a goatee and could have been the “goatee guy” who opened the door in theater 9? This wouldn’t make sense unless he shaved in the car that night, but the general public isn’t astute enough to figure that out.

Your reasoning for his booking photo being updated doesn’t make sense to me… They took his photo because his appearance changed so drastically. They shaved his head. They had to update it.
As for the eyelashes being gone, it’s a disease called Trichotillomania – in which the person pulls out their, hair or in this case, eyelashes – and I have no doubt that James has this disease.

I’m not vouching for that site, besides I, at least tentatively, don’t agree James Holmes was mk’d, and/or if he was/is, it wasn’t to play ‘the Joker’. That is, imho, he’s not ‘Manchurian’ and he’s not ‘Greenbaum’. But, these two paragraphs just give a handy starting point. There is historical, documented evidence, going back decades. It’s up to the individual to decide if they want to follow that trail. Take a packed lunch. I do however, wonder about what has happened to James following his arrest, and not just the drugs they are obviously keeping him loaded with.
As to the ‘double’ and/or ‘clone’ scenario. Yes, both are a possibility, but again, is it a distraction or ‘shut down’ device? It also does not mean that ‘they killed James’.
To me the new photo resembles every other photo (even the ones where he is still a kid) taken of Holmes – Except – the one placed next to it (not counting facial expression).

What has puzzled me too is the fact that he seems to have a lot of naturally grown red hair and those only seem to show up since the ¨booking¨ photo – He is a red head and that is why his eyelashes seem to be missing.

I’ve heard people say that was a passport photo too. Where did that original photo come from? It was on one of those peoplesearch datamining sites, that photo was the one on there for James Holmes. Where did that site get it? From a myspace or something? Who would use an id pic on myspace or facebook? Not very convenient, unless you wanna break out the scanner and editing tools.
And if it’s from University of Colorado id, how did it get on the internet? I know they don’t release public id info on their students.
I love how they just don’t care if things don’t make sense, kinda like the “Chilling 911 calls released of callers in panic” that was actually the police radio tapes. That was not the 911 calls. These vids are worth looking at also just to get more of a feel for the person too, even if there are, quite normal, noticeable developmental changes into the early 20′s.
There was a second shooter in the entrance to the theater 9. It’s painfully obvious. This is so simple. Shooting started, people right away tried to run out main entrance (down and behind the seating) and got forced back in because someone was shooting people trying to run out from that position back there.
He shot the witnesses that saw him, then booked it out of there. Multiple shooters case closed.
This is corroborated by all the witness statements.
In fact, that is not corroborated by “all witness statements”. One individual entered the theater and began shooting after tossing two smoke or tear gas canisters and waited for them to ignite, then calmly started firing on the audience members. He continued walking calmly through the front area from 60-90 seconds and then left just as police started to arrive. THAT is corroborated by the witness statements and that is what happened.

he tossed one canister as he walked in, then moved quickly across the narrow theater tossing the other canister which would make someone sitting there watching the movie in the middle or back of the theater see two canisters come from TWO DIFFERENT SIDES OF THE THEATER. The witness explains that she was on the ground, near the front of the theater, with Corbin Dates and another person crawling told them not to get up and attempt to go up the stairs to the main doors. Notice she says “he” as in ONE SHOOTER

I thought only people in theater 8 were running back in to a smokey theater 8 because “a shooter was in the lobby”.
So they released documents for the lawsuit by the victims. It clearly states in these documents he was sitting in the car. I’m working on a story on the lobby shooter for salem-news.com, still gotta do some research and put stuff together, but I’m convinced that the “shooter in the lobby” is real and he was standing in the entrance to theater 9, behind the seats, but still within the entrance doors to theater 9. (not technically in the lobby)
All the evidence indicates that there was one shooter, and possibly two others in or around the doors to the exteriors exit who acted as accessories. The female theater employee witness (the blonde who was interviewed in the school and who wore a batman shirt) says she could see the shooter, visible only by the light filtering in from the exit, and one person on each side of him. I’d even go as far as to believe that one of these other two people may have tossed one of the gas canisters, as one of the other witnesses suggests (the “from what we know, he wasn’t alone, he had someone with him” witness featured on Channel 9).
Aside from the staggering evidence, to have multiple shooters appear before 350 people when the intent is to pin it all on one guy in the end is simply counterintuitive, unmanageable, and dangerous to the op. Sure, they probably needed other people for logistical support (to signal to the assassin, gear him up, let him in, help him escape, plant evidence, etc., not to mention rig the explosives in Holmes’ apartment). But unless the intent was to kill as many people as possible–and not just twelve people–there is no need for multiple assassins when you’ve got a huge audience partly disabled by tear gas and a *professional assassin* armed with a semi-automatic rifle, a shotgun, and a handgun. It’s simply unnecessary and increases the likelihood that the op will be blown. Further, forensic evidence obtained from examination of bullets could easily reveal that they came from, for example, two different semi-automatic guns. This, too, would blow the story of a single shooter out of the water and ruin the op. Unless every single person who could potentially handle or study evidence is in on the conspiracy (unlikely), then the use of multiple shooters would have been too risky.
The forensic evidence around the theater HAS to match the story line…..which it does not….The aerial footage of the front of the theater does not show one drop of blood again how did 58 gunshot victims exit a theater and leave no trace of blood???, the police audio recordings talk of moving multiple gunshot victims to the back of theater 9 but there is no forensic evidence to support that( NO BLOOD )
But in this case its the lack of available evidence that is most telling, meaning all the evidence that should be there but is not…. The lack of reliable witnesses when there should be hundreds and hundreds inlcuding theater employees that were working that night,,,,ushers, managers, cashiers concession etc along with hundreds of moviegoers even from adjacent theaters……the lack of cell phone video or pictures, CCTV, news, footage or photos of the Inside of the theater…..we should see bullet casings photos of the famous gas canisters, blood stained carpet or floor, holes in the walls……what better way to promote a gun control agenda than to show spent bullet casings next to a blood stained carpet?
There should be police dashcam video of the arrest of Holmes, if gunshot victims were taken to the back and why no eye witness that accounts of the arrest or of James sitting in the car???
The police audio talk of EMTs and police entering and exiting from the back of theatre 9 but the rifle is seen placed right outside the door….so did the gunshot victms some critical just step over of the AR15 while exiting the theater in the rear???
With regard to whether or not its James in court….why are the parents not there to support their son??? Cant believe his mother or father would not be in Colorado ……why have they not made a public statement??? why have they not even through their attorney made a statement or tried to point out all the inconsistencies in this case…??
i want to know why they would be calling a 24 yr olds parents when he was arrested anyways . I have never heard of them doing that.There is no way they seen him in his car . Yes! Good point about calling the parents,,,,the Mother at the time of the initial call to her Told ABC that she needed to fly to Colorado. that is why now I find it hard to believe she is not there supporting her son,,,….
The storyline as to how he was arrested keeps changing,,,, but however it happened there is no video proof, cell phone video, nor eye witness testimony…..now out of hundreds of potential witnesses that could have seen how he was arrested…..there are none.
i asked the same question in an earlier comment because one of the cellphone videos that is recorded behind the theater was recorded within 10 minutes of the shooting and it even shows james car in the background with doors closed .but it never shows anything that might resemble him being arrested and nobody there so far has identified him anywhere at that theater. In the theater or in his car or even being arrested.

uh, I live in Florida. Most cars have tint on their windows including mine. You can clearly see through his window in the redlight cam pictures so I don’t think it’s a problem for the police to see into his car. From the audio tape of the police radio that night, it does seem like he gets right up on the car before noticing him in it or maybe he was walking in front of it.
I dont care where you live . If you watch a video with helicopter footage taken the next morning the car doors are open and you can see a straight shot of the inside of his car door and that window is black . you cant see anything through it even in the daylight.
actually if you look, you can see a piece of white paper or trash or something lying on the ground behind it. The window tint is dark, but you can see through it with a flashlight close up. (psst… that picture shows the window with the driver door open and the shot is from the INSIDE… if it was completely black, how could someone inside the car see out of it to drive?

Photo 1 shows an evening view or early morning view, dim light but you can clearly see that someone can see through the front windshield and the read window from the outside looking in…
Photo 2 shows a daytime view looking through the driver’s side window while the door is open, it is dark and deeply tinted, but you can see through it.

Clearly, the windows are dark and deeply tinted, but they are not “black” and someone like a cop with a flashlight can indeed see through them

“They” wasn’t the police. It was the news calling his parents to try to get a scoop on the story. It makes sense that they’d want to do that..they just spun the “news” that they got to meet their needs. Also with the tint on the windows, the front window does not look tinted at all. You can see the detective’s shirt through the window as clear as the part not obscured by the window. In the redlight camera taken from some distance you can clearly see in the front at least.

The drivers side window does have limo tint. The passenger side window was broke out.I guess i shouldnt have assumed that window would be tinted also. I never said the front window was tinted.
@Polaris That’s funny you think inconsistencies with the evidence would blow the op. Why hasn’t it happened already then yet? Do you honestly think the police can’t cover stuff up?
All those in power have to do is assert that Holmes is guilty and he did it alone. All the evidence and witness statements and our research contradicting this doesn’t mean diddly squat. That is what power is all about.
@ Polaris Why are you so certain that they are gonna analyze every bullet to see if it came from the same gun? There’s no reason to do that because officially, there is only one shooter, no further investigation is happening in that regard.
Then we have this problem. The cop on the cell phone footage is carrying an AR-15 out of that theater. Are you absolutely certain that he went into the theater with that AR? All of the other cops seemed to have shotguns.
@Polaris I’m not saying the additional accomplice(s) had a rifle, just commenting on your logic re: additional weapons. Personally I think the guy in the lobby shot people running out with some kind of gun. If they analyzed the bullets found in that area, they will not match the ones from the other weapons they found. (plus bulllets shouldn’t even be in that area behind and below the seats) The trick is, they are never gonna do that. The bullets may have already been disappeared or switched, so that’s a long shot. I could look at the evidence and tell you exactly which bullets you need to check.
If the details of this investigation ever do come out, I guarantee it will reveal that a shitty and incomplete investigation was conducted on this case. Guaranteed. The justification given will be “We thought there was only one shooter and it was James Holmes” The investigation probably went to full Mickey Mouse the next morning when Oates proclaimed it was one guy and we got him.

This used to be a space for thoughtful discussion of multiple viewpoints, and thoughtful refutations or “have you considered this other viewpoint” suggestions–not constant provocations and a continual ramming of one singular viewpoint down everyone’s throats as if only one person can have a monopoly on the truth. Jan10, I found that photo on tumblr. I’m curious to know where it was originally sourced. I can’t find it under ‘James Holmes’ anywhere else. If it was from a drivers license, then surely it would be under another name
It’s my favourite photo because it adds a whole new perspective but it never quite fit into my collage. That is, until the new booking shot was released & now it’s the missing link I needed. If anyone knows where it came from, I’d love to know…
On a final note, teeth & ears are valuable features when searching for identifying traits, as they’re not built to move like other facial parts. Coincidentally, the guy in court has never opened his mouth (I’d like to see that!) His ears however, tell a different story. The young Holmes has high-set ears, sitting next to his cheekbones and close to eye level. The guy in court has low-set ears, sitting well below his eyes, particularly the left side, which is quite droopy. Don’t be fooled by the new mugshot, he’s actually dropping his shoulder forward/left elongating his left side and contracting the right, giving the illusion of symmetry (but now the shoulders are off):

I am by no means a forensic anatomy expert… But, I have been a photo professional for 25 years, the last 16 of which were retouching art and commercial photography, and mainly portraits. Making people younger, older, thinner fatter, more pleasant looking, or have the right expression, switching heads, limbs, body parts, etc.
I had already commented here that it was very likely the latest mugshot was manipulated. However, without having access to a higher resolution version, it’s practically impossible to confirm this. In addition to actual manipulation, after having browsed through many mugshots examples, I am beginning to think that this photo and the red hair mugshot , as it is presented to us including its color balance, contrast, skin tone, are not likely to be a direct product of a standard mugshot camera. I am not sure if I have seen enough mugshots to make enough valid comparisons just yet, but what keeps sticking out is how these two seem to have a much better quality than all other mugshots I have seen so far, which could be another sign that these photos have been “handled”.
I would welcome it if any of you feel like browsing through mugshots on the web and try to find ones that look like JH’s. Let me know if you find any.
But going back to Saba’s main point… Thank you for the photo spread, Saba. It’s a very revealing spread that makes you go hmmmmm… But, I’m afraid these are all the same kid…
One of his most prominent features, his ears, confirm that this is the same kid. There is certainly something funny going on starting with the psychedelic baseball cap shot and the one right after… But the perceived differences in these shots like the big nose and different shape, can all be attributed to crappy webcam they come from which have a pinhole lens that distorts things especially when close by.
But the slightly creepy look they have is due to the fact that he is totally wasted on some drug or another and is likely to be taking these pictures in private. Since, somehow, we could not find any other footprints of this tech savvy young man anywhere on the internet, these images are highly suspect to have been carefully chosen and planted to create the “before the shooting” narrative.
The most peculiarly uncharacteristic JH is actually the last one, which someone said was a driver’s license photo. But we all know one can easily get caught with a weird expression at the DMV. Held to that standard, that one is a JH as well.
Have you noticed that the real james Holmes has one ear placed higher than the other? yep, his right ear is lower that his left..
and as willy pointed out… Holmes eyes are almost level to each other…
the other ‘guy’ has a higher right eye…. and no eye lashes?
The level of the ears or the eyes depend on so many factors like camera angle, lens length, head tilt, rotation, etc.
I would argue that if you were to perform a similar analysis on randomly picked photos of yourself, or perhaps someone you are familiar with, I can almost guarantee you that you will find this level of discrepancies between shots.
But, on a separate note… I am curious to know what you think the story might be if indeed there is a switcheroo going on… Do you feel that would have happened before on the day of or after the shooting. And to what end?
Since I feel all these photos seem to be the same person, and considering the parent’s peculiar behavior, this could suggest that perhaps James Holmes never even existed. And we know that not to be true. (Maybe he had an evil twin brother.
What would be the purpose of a switch? Kill JH and have a cooperative actor play him in trial? Or pretend to execute him and the real JH has joined MIB?
Having said that, I will refer to Scott’s Abdulmuttalab example, which seems to be the closest thing to what happened to JH.

Trust me, I totally hear you… I feel the machinery of psyops is so sophisticated and so wide spread, that what you and others are suggesting about this guy not being JH is totally possible.. And, as Scott pointed out, our recent history is peppered with a lot more suspicious examples of the person getting arrested and ride being different people.
But I would need a better and more long term story than just to have a controlled person attending he trial to see this as more than simply possible….
I believe it’s fair to say that we know for a fact that hee was a kid named James Holmes who lived in a suburb of San Diego, at a certain address, attended a certain high school, had friends in the neighborhood as well as at school. Was a member of the soccer team, etc.
We also have strong evidence that he did go to he college they say he did, even though the amount of solid info about those years is very limited.
I don’t believe operations like ths one really give a rat’s ass about what really happens to the patsy. So, yes, they might kill him off and plant a double to act out the final stages. But, what really happens if he does not get the death penalt, or sits n deat roof for 10-15 years? How would they handle that stretch of time?
If there s indeed a double nvolved, why would they not plant him in from the get go and have him arrested under more believable circumstances with much stronger evidence and wittness accounts? Blood on his gear, smoking gun in his hand, etc…. Why go through the trouble of arresting a drugged out guy sitting in or by his car?
For me to entertain ths idea, there’s got to be a better plan and better endgame… Like the scenarios played out in many Hollywood movies where someone needs to publicly die first to be accepted in to the cabal as an operative. Perhaps James was so darn good at what he was studying, he needed a change of identity…

I don’t have definite answers or iron clad theories. Sometimes, I feel that knowing that a lie is a lie is just as powerful as knowing the truth. Personally, I care less about what exactly they have done, than the knowledge of he fact that “they” are pulling another fast one on us. Lets face it, the rest is all mental gymnastics for all of us. After all, 12 people dead (presumably) and a smart kid waste is nothing compared to what is about to go down in is country and the works once the charade of elections is over…
I proposed raising some funds to put a full page ad in a prominent newspaper asking some basic factual questions and collecting some signatures… Then I realized, it’s highly likely that most people here, perhaps including myself, would disappear when the cloak of anonymity is removed. Looks like the same exact person to me- same ears, nose, mouth, and eyes. Anyways do you think JH wears any type of contacts? He wore glasses as a youngster and I always thought vision problems stayed with people throughout puberty. I wouldn’t know though, I was blessed with perfect vision.
I was wondering the same thing. He must, although some people have improvements in vision. My dad wore glasses for years up until the past ten or so. But I have worn contacts since the ninth grade and I’m 25 now.
I had LASIK a few years ago and thus no longer require contacts or glasses. It’s possible he also had it if he needed vision correction. It’s quite common these days.

Not sure what thread to put this in but something that doesn’t get discussed as far as I know is the fact the police searched the mall about an hour into it because they found an open door. What became of that? Where was the mall security during this..the guys that drive around in the truck with the flashing lights?

I remember hearing somewhere on here that it was just the janitor and a false alarm. I don’t remember the source.
But I still don’t have a grasp on whether they thought there were bombs in cars and the mall, if so why those places, and what cars were in question? Wouldn’t locking down the parking lot be a high priority? Police are on the scene in great numbers very fast yet many witnesses claim they just drove out of the parking lot.
Maybe Holmes was mumbling bomb and they assumed he meant in the car he was sitting in? <just a theory there.
Then police find out Holmes's apartment has explosives but don't evacuate the neighbors for a good 3 hours?
Police are too busy trying to take care of victims so they don't really contain or secure the area for quite a while, meanwhile EMT is waiting for the area to be secured before they come closer.
…and that latest photo just makes no sense at all, after month's in jail he decides to smirk in a mug shot. Did someone ask him to smile? Is he really the shooter and this is way of saying "I gotcha"? Is it photo shopped to look more crazy?

I agree that the smile looks the most unnatural of all the aspects of that mugshot. If I had to pinpoint which part of his face has been tinkered with, I’d definitely say “the mouth.”
Having said that, I suppose such a crazed look could be just as easily and perhaps more convincingly achieved by pumping him full of drugs, or perhaps they asked him to make a certain look for this mugshot without telling him why. Maybe this photo is but one of several “takes”:

It’s a pic of the new mug shot of James but “WITHOUT”, what looks like, that extreme upturned smirk and his eyes a little bit less crazed out than the mass copied/posted pic and… his ears less prominent – it’s so blurry and pixelated … but… when I view the mass’d one and this one side by side…they look very different…I put them in a slide show next to each other…it’s the only one – I cannot find another anywhere else (yet)

Looks like the new mug shot IS a very planed and deliberate attempt at manipulating public perception… releasing it has violated the gag order. The defense attorneys complained and want to know how it was released. There will be a hearing on this particular issue on October 11.

I am surprised by the defense’s diligence on the ‘leaks’ issue. I hope this illuminates to the media that they’re being manipulated. May this be a reminder that anything released other than by the Court is against procedure, illegal, and a ploy to serve an agenda.
Even then, what the court chooses to release is dubious. For example, of all the things they could have released (such as the arrest/search warrants or victims identities, as requested by the media) the court reveals the accused sent ‘threatening’ texts to a colleague (?!) like that’s encouraging a fair trial…I find this whole ordeal of trying to ascertain the accused’s state of mind leading up to the shooting, a grand diversion from the most basic and vital questions, such as ‘what was his state UPON arrest?’ That’s an appropriate line of questioning.
I really hope the media get on board and start digging a little deeper.
