AE Best Year Ever

Hard to say if it’s a good sign for American Everyman or a bad omen for the country but late last night I stayed up to get this screen shot of our page views stats as this year’s numbers surpassed those of 2010, the previous “best” year.

I’ve been running this site since June of 2007 when I started this little blog with this post, Apostles for the Glorious Rich. Though that first post seems mighty prescient now, I’ve learned a great deal since then and I have you guys to thank for that. Our lives are not our own as the book says. We are bound to each other by threads of noble kindness and chains of petty scorn. But it is still a choice. Always a choice. I wrote this in that first year in an article called Timshel (“thou mayest”)

“It is neither noble nor patriotic to accept governance at face value; to acquiesce to authority for comforts sake. Diligence is the duty of the democratic. It is the responsibility of all who reside in the free republic to guard those freedoms from every potential usurper, both foreign and domestic, for not only their own liberty, but for the historical integrity of the institution itself. For our time is limited here and we are but day-players in an ongoing epic like those millions who came before and the countless who will endure long after we have moved on, it is their history we write today with our strength or our surrender.” me

We don’t get a lot of hits on this site. More than most, less than some. But that’s not why I do it.

I have always figured you try to make the world a slightly better place than what you found and that effort, that struggle, is the best truest measure of a man. And no matter how much one ordains himself with trinkets of power and privilege and position, it’s still the only measure that really matters. The world just refuses to accept it though in their hearts, most feel it. Because that is the real natural order of the world. My mother taught me that, back before my writing made her nearly as jaded and cynical as I am. But she still believes it and so do I and if that makes us “the retarded left”, so be it.

I will continue to write and to expose the careful machinations of those who would try to make us believe that their order is the natural order. It is not. That is why they must work so hard, spend so much money, control education, the media, government, lie with impunity, murder so many to see that their twisted vision come to fruition.

“There is a natural order to this world” of that I have no doubt. This site is dedicated to exposing the tedious work and the willful lies used by those who try to upend that order in pursuit of their ancient agendas.

Without you, this would all have been pointless. Today’s little milestone is but a blip on an endless sea of 1s and 0s but it’s not meaningless, not to me. thanks
