On June 30, 1980, the Security Council unanimously adopted Resolution 476. America abstained. It declared “all legislative and administrative measures and actions taken by Israel, the occupying Power, which purport to alter the character and status of the Holy City of Jerusalem have no legal validity and constitute a flagrant (Fourth Geneva) violation.” Uruknet
In a move that exemplifies what Noam Chomsky pointed out back in Oct. of last year, that according to all American politics, “Israeli Jews are people and Palestinians are unpeople“, the dems at their convention prove once again that they are nothing more than neocons in disguise pretending to give a shit about human rights and dignity.
Over at Kenny’s Side Show, Kenny has an article which lays bare the disgusting pandering to Israel that must take place every election cycle. As Kenny points out, after a little prodding from the Republicans, the Dems decided to amend their party platform to include a statement about “god” guiding their direction as well as a statement claiming the party should recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel that it “is” and should “remain” the capital of Israel and should be “undivided“
Certainly there was no mention of Arab Jerusalem or the fact that IT should “remain”the capital of Palestine as declared by international law set forth in the June 1967 Geneva accord.
This statement effectively negates the near universally accepted June 1967 accords which, as noted by the infamous “Green Line” denoting the borders between Israel and Palestine, sets East Jerusalem as Palestine. This has been international law for decades and of course Israel wants all of Palestine as well as Jerusalem and thus to remove Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem.
What this declaration does is effectively void the Democratic Party’s recognition of the capital of Palestine and by extension, the Palestinian state as well.
“Jewish Jerusalem will serve as Israel’s capital and Arab Jerusalem as Palestine’s capital. Each state would be sovereign over the neighborhoods predominately inhabited by its respective community.” Geneva Accord Jerusalem
The dem leadership put forward a motion for these amendments calling for a 2/3rds majority voice vote from the delegates. Clearly they didn’t get the majority they needed. They tried three times trying each consecutive time to prompt a louder response from the supporters of the “Jerusalem for the Jews” motion… each time the motion obviously failed and just like the woman who stepped up behind the speaker said, eventually he just declared the motion passed and waited to see the fallout.
Not only did the Dems reject international law and the will of the Palestinian people in that little pandering charade, but they also rejected the will of their own delegates.
The look of the woman holding the “Arab American Democrat” sign says it all.
As is often the case when it comes to understanding the Israeli/Palestinian conflict, Chomsky gets it right…
“…both the United States and Israel share a history of removing indigenous peoples from their lands. “We did it, so it’s got to be right. Jews are doing it, so it’s got to be right,” he said.” Noam Chomsky Oct. 2011
I’ll never vote for a democrat as long as I live and right now I’m sure I’ll go out and vote for Romney and help push others to do the same. He won’t win because it’s rigged.
But after that sickening display, I would rather cut off my testicles than vote for one of those phony liberals. In fact, I might just send Mittens that 3 dollars that everyone and their mother is trying to get me to send to help Obomba “win”

“the riot squad they’re restless”
[Soros-funded group's "Brave New World"]
http://summonthemagic.blogspot.com/2012/09/the-riot-squad-theyre-restless.html
That is their ‘oral’ form of electronic voting machines….. they pick their answer no matter what the vote is.
I’ll vote for Romney also.
Canada expels Iranians from Canada and closes the Canadian Embassy in Iran…..
is something being plotted by America, Israel, and Canada?
http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/09/07/pol-baird-canada-iran-embassy.html
Perhaps that shall be our October surprise.
The election playing field is specially murky this time around. Something’s gotta give before the elections to throw it one way or another. I just can’t decide in which direction a confrontation with Iran would throw it. Probably to Obama…
Ready for another WTF moment? http://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/security/01/09/nypd-kfar-saba-branch-new-york-p.html
interesting…. so maybe America is taking over Israel? Maybe we are pulling all those strings because we are going to be in power in Israel…. another nation conquered?
Romney is even more whorish for Israel than Obama.
Wow… just… wow…
It’s like they’re trying to top how appalling they can be every day…
LOL
Both parties are constantly competing to see who can bend over farther for Israel. I keep hearing people say-”well at least Obama hasn’t bombed Iran”. I always have to say-”yet” to them and remind them how he still has to appease those on the “left” who still support him. He and his wont have that problem after Nov.6 so we’ll all see the real Obama then if he wins.
And you’re being facetious when saying you’ll vote for Romney right? 9/11 terrorist Dov Zakheim is on his payroll. We are fucked no matter who wins as everyone here already knows. Even to “hurt Obama” I wouldn’t be able to actually pull the lever for Romney Inc.
I’m not convinced the fix is in either. Obviously having left cover to advance policies like a strike on Iran and more “austerity” at home is ideal for those in power. But as bad as team Obama has been, and they’ve been bad, I feel like its still not enough for certain entities, including both the Likudniks in Israel and Wall Street. Of course Obama has whored relentlessly to both but somehow its still not enough. Romney is getting more Wall Street money and his foreign policy team is crawling with zionist moles and rabid neocons. Its a “war team” much in the way Bushs was a “war team”. As Tarpley said, you could tell a war was coming before Bush even got elected based on his foreign policy team.
NO, I am not being ‘facetious’….. I am serious… I will vote for Romney…. first time in my life I vote republican…
voted for Cynthia Mckinney, Green ticket, in 2008
sigh… have always been a democrat… but things have changed…
You do know who Dov Zakheim is right? How about John Bolton?
They are both dangerous and rich and pro-facists?
Bolton was Bushs UN Ambassador and noted PNAC member who pushed hard for the Iraq and an Iran war from his position. You can see him on tv now calling for war almost daily. Zakheim, also a PNAC member in addition to being an Israeli mole, was the comptroller at the Pentagon under the Bush administration. Remember the 2.3 trillion? Remember how the Pentagon accounting department got hit on 9/11? Zakheim also ran SPC, which is capable of outfitting Boeings with remote flight technology. Hes up to his neck in 9/11. Both Bolton and Zakheim are now currently working for the Romney campaign and will be rehired in a Romney administration. Indeed Romney already said he would appoint Bolton as Secretary of State.
and don’t forget, Zakheim ran the office which was looking for the missing 2.3 trillion dollars that Rumsfeld announced on Sept. 10th 2001. That office was the EXACT location that was hit, killing much of his staff and destroying lots of the files and paperwork they needed to track down what happened to that money…
Zakheim wasn’t there that day in that office.
The walls had been recently reinforced to keep collateral damage down to a minimum as part of an overall project to beef up all the exterior walls as the Pentagon, yet that section was the ONLY one done at that time, and the ONLY one ever done since. Remember the construction trailers outside and the big generator that was hit by whatever struck the Pentagon? That was their trailer and generator.
But don’t forget, there are 9/11 planners working in the Obama administration as we speak, so Bolton and Zakheim are bad, just like Romney is bad, but in the end, were Bolton and Zakheim and Romney to be doing the same things Obama is doing, then there would be resistance in the streets and not just the fake controlled Occupy shit either, I’m talking REAL resistance to this agenda like in Seattle in 2000 and like what was going on under Bush after that. I said as much BEFORE Obama was selected and it still holds true.
Thats right Scott, Zakheim knew exactly what he was doing when the bomb and/or missile/drone was set in the section that it was. And yes, I forgot to mention the convenient renovation that had recently taken place in that section. The guy is guilty as hell.
I agree with your premise that certain actions are easier to take with the left cover that comes with a Dem instead of a Repub. Though the reverse is true as well, there are some things Dems cant do that Repubs can and get away with. And obviously not all of the neocon and zionist war architects and 9/11 perps were purged. But many of them were. This is not because of puppet Obama but simply because of the turnover that always takes place with a new administration. We truly are screwed either way. Still, I cannot vote for a Romney just to hurt Obama and maybe help take the left cover effect away. Because lets be honest, even if more protests happened under a Romney administration they would just have another fake Democrat swoop in and “save” us again like they did with Obama.
Speaking of which, I’m calling it here first. HIllary versus Jeb Bush in 2016. The slogan will be “Fucked either way” Just call me Captain Obvious.
In an ideal world, NOBODY would vote, and as a result strip the current one party system of its legitimacy… They feed on our votes… There is no longer a “lesser of the two evils” as most people like to say to justify which way they vote. Why should we have any amount of evil?
that is precisely what I feel. Once we get sick of all of this bullshit and enough people come to understand what a show it all is, that the power that runs this country hates democracy here as much as they hate it in the Middle East and South/Central America, then perhaps enough of them will disconnect from the very system that provides the power with the illusion of legitimacy… Tarpley has recently suggested that if 40% or fewer eligible voters actually turn out to vote, then we might make a case for the election to be considered void. I think it will take a bit less considering they can still blame things like the economy and the Tuesday only election process. Of course, they will pad the numbers with the electronic voting fraud, but still, if many chose not to participate, a case can be made and should be in my opinion.
I’ll go so far as to call the “winner”… Jeb. Fucked with a capital “UCK”
Who? I am so dumb…
who is Jeb?
Jeb Bush former governor of Florida…he was your governor for a while and brother to George Bush
I certainly wouldn’t blame anybody for sitting it out. And I will never vote for the lesser of 2 evils. I think I’ll likely just vote for the Green party/Jill Stein as a protest vote of sorts.
It would certainly be a huge (and very welcome) statement by the voters to simply not vote, but when I heard Tarpley’s assertion, I remember thinking that 40% will not really cut it… Unless the remaining 60% are standing in the streets in silent, united protest…
In 2008, out of the eligible voters, only 57% bothered or was able to vote in 2008. So, in essence, the fifty three percent vote that Obama received means that we are being ruled by a government that has a mandate of roughly 30% of the population.
And the layer underneath that one is that, out of the 30% of those who voted for Obama (or any president), at least half fell for the campaign lies and promises that were never intended to be kept. So, at best, we end up with roughly 15% of the voters who are actually getting what they voted for… And, at worst, nobody but the oligarchy gets anything they want…
Re: Jeb…
We should also mention that, in 2001, he was the governor of Florida where his brother was busy reading My Pet Goat while all hell was breaking loose…
and he’s a neocon member of PNAC if I am not mistaken and may have even been a signatory of the “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” study…
Sorry, but one more: We can also call him Chad Bush since Jeb was the governor of Florida during the contentious 2000 elections… The state with the highest voter fraud and voter intimidation reports…
OK…. I now know who ‘Jeb’ is…. thanks…
so many ‘bushes’ to keep up with….I really prefer the Lilac…..
so, if 70% don’t vote….. and the magic machines claim that 53% vote…. how we going to prove only 30 % voted? We can’t… we lose either way…. at least with paper ballots a person could actually count the number of voters…. now a machine (that is rigged) tells us…?
I kinda agree… That’s why it has to be a lot more overwhelming than 30-40%… Maybe the people protesting on the street can keep count of people going in to vote…
The totals need to add up at the end of the day…
I know they can tip the election in any direction by a certain percentage through electronic voting machines… But, how many total votes makes them legitimate??? If there were only a total of 100 votes, would the president be elected by 53 votes alone?
Jebbie( as the Slickster calls him), has a latino wife. That certainly won’t hurt him from a PR standpoint.
They’re already grooming their half latino son George P. Bush to run for office. Land of the free? Whoever told you that is your enemy….
I like it
Rage Against the Machine was one of the last real protest bands to get any kind of mainstream play. Check out the video of their performance outside of the DNC in 2000 if you get a chance. The police were brutal.
and didn’t they do something at Wall Street in support of Occupy?
Im not sure if they did but it would make sense for them to. The footage you posted is actually from way before OWS started though. Rage has been raging against Wall Street and both political parties for years. Here they are at the DNC:
“Rage’ is a German band.
‘Rage Against he Machine’ is an American band formed in 1996….. and they do play at occupy sites….
Yes Jan, but 99% of the people you say “Rage” to in relation to music will automatically think of Rage Against the Machine, not some obscure German band. Ive been a fan since I was about 17 and I’m 29 now, trust me. And I know that the guitarist Tom Morello went down to Occupy at various points but I don’t think Rage performed. Zach has been kind of AWOL. The video above was for their music video, it took place years before OWS. I’m pretty sure a couple of them got arrested though.
I looked them up… seems they are touring now but not making any new albums…. is that because they are cooling off with Obama in office? Or is Zack still missing? and what happened to him?
They broke up I think around the early Bush years, maybe like 2001 or so. Zach has always been pretty independent minded. He was always disgusted with the corporate media and that includes the music business so I think he just wanted to get away from it all. Havent really heard much at all to be honest. Its too bad, having a video like “Testify” playing on MTV is a good thing. Of course MTV doesnt play videos anymore(or quality shows like they actually once did) but thats another story.
Tom Morello is still pretty active though. He just wrote a piece for Rolling Stone:
http://www.rollingstone.com/music/news/tom-morello-paul-ryan-is-the-embodiment-of-the-machine-our-music-rages-against-20120816
And no. Watch the DNC video above and its clear that Zach hates both parties.
Thank you Chris, I really enjoyed reading that! LOL…. yes, I can see all that rage in Ryan also…
The Rolling Stone…. memories… glad to see they still are pressing the papers…….
Looks like this little ‘fix’ for Israel has worked… according to MSN and the polls, Obama is now 5 points ahead of Romney…..
I haven’t seen a pol taker… must be inside the WH.
