Today I wrote an article urging RNC protesters not to come down to Tampa for the convention.
Open Letter to RNC Protest Groups: Sometimes, The Only Way to Win is Not to Play
Yesterday I warned potential protesters about what has been readily published in various papers like the Tampa Times and others, namely the precautions being taken to prepare for the convention. I made reference to the Democratic Convention of 1968 as a sort of warning of things that might be. Again, this was intended to warn protesters away from this event.
RNC Convention Tampa Circa 1968
From this, a local blogger says I am the “head cheerleader” for Occupy Black Bloc.
I mentioned a local private investigator who claims he is an “expert” on terrorism who is stoking the fires of fear by saying that the Occupy movement is linked somehow with terrorists and they intend to wreak havok on Tampa during the 5,000 person, peaceful march. His mention was simply as an example of the dangerous climate that is growing in the area at the time.
“Professional fearmongers like local Muslim-hater Bill Warner is warning of BlackBloc violence being carried out by al Qaedaesque protesters who wish to “kill cops” and overthrow the United States of America with a few bricks and pipes. I wonder how threatened the police driving the new Tampa Tank are by a skinny NSA employee with a brick?
“These are tactics terrorists use in the Middle East. They will hide bricks in piles in buildings and so forth. They will move into the area start their little protests. Then they will find their pile of bricks and pipes and start busting out windows,”
“Anonymous and Black Block seek the overthrow of the US Government, they hate cops and everything they stand for and seek to disrupt the Tampa RNC.” Bill “Hate all Muslims and Profit from Fear” Warner
Normally you would just laugh at an asshole like this but these days they tend to get a lot of attention from local “news” agencies because they are “experts” in the field of fake terrorism.” Scott Creighton
Well, this mention is apparently enough to make Mr. Warner decide that I am the head of the Occupy Black Bloc cheerleaders in Tampa. I guess he didn’t read the article I wrote which clearly states that I am no fan of Black Bloc and in fact I figure they are probably agent provocateurs, like they have been exposed as being many times in the past.
That makes me a critic of them, Mr. Warner, not a “cheerleader”
Mr. Warner went so far as to post a photo of me with the caption “Black Bloc Head Cheerleader” as well as a photo of someone throwing fire bombs at police cars with the caption “Black Bloc Plans for Tampa Police at RNC”
You tell me what the implication is:
Now I don’t know how Mr. Warner has come to learn that Black Bloc intends to throw firebombs at the Tampa police, but if he has any real hard evidence I would suggest he warn the cops rather than use it to slander and liable someone like myself.
Since he hasn’t filled a report with the police, it is my guess that he’s just making that up in order to slander me.
He did a search on me and found my full name and an article which featured me a while ago about being disabled and having SS garnished to pay for old defaulted student loans.
He then proceeds to slander me for being disabled, a lovely tactic to be sure.
I’m not so thin skinned as to worry about my information and my history being published on the web. If I was I wouldn’t sign my real name to my writing and I wouldn’t have done the interview exposing my personal details.
But what Mr. Warner has done is essentially threaten my well being.
He has implied that I have some connection with Occupy Black Bloc which I do not…
… and more importantly, he has implied that these Black Bloc people have the intention to throw fire bombs at local police.
Which means, he is saying, I support that action.
This is slanderous on many levels and I will not stand for it.
On the surface, it is offensive to me because I certainly do not support actions like those, I do consider them a form of terrorism, and there is NOTHING in ANY of my writing which supports harming police officers. Like many others I have been angry when a cop sprays a young protester with mace or someone shoots a Vet in the head with a rubber bullet. That is natural. Other officers feel the same way. But I have not nor will I ever support fire bombing police cruisers and the implication that I do is slanderous and libelous.
He will hear from my lawyer.
Beyond that, there is a serious issue with this particular threat. God forbid something happens to an officer or anyone else during the RNC protest, but if it does, and it resembles the image that Mr. Warner has posted on his site with links to my picture and my name, what then? Am I singled out for his baseless attempt at retribution? Am I considered a suspect? Am I considered a target by the angered population simply because I warned the protesters to stay away from Tampa and mention Warner’s fear-mongering in doing so?
No I am not associated with any Black Bloc group. Never have been. I have been critical of their tactics and write that it clearly hurts our causes.
I wrote today trying to persuade the protesters from even coming to Tampa. I warned them in the last few days of what they will be up against here, including, Black Bloc agent provocateurs.
There is nothing in my history of writing that supports these people or their tactics and Mr. Warner is remiss in thinking that I will not take action against him for saying so based on ABSOLUTELY no evidence whatsoever.
Filed under: Scott Creighton, Warner v Creighton Flame War

Scott, I would Let the Tampa Police know about this. Maybe they can interview this guy and see if he knows something they should know about. Occupy seems so screwed up most of them don’t even know exactly what they are protesting. Just going to a Party.. Doesn’t mean a few could be dangerous. I would report him and let the police see if he has knowledge they should know. Your readers know who you are, an don’t like violence. Hang in there. Bill Free Zone Media Center.
Thanks Bill. I already did that before writing the update article. Talked with 4 of them. They were very nice but at this point it doesn’t seem like much more than a flame war in really bad taste on his part. We will see what happens. Ironically, he posted another hate article about some guy giving out the phone number for the National Lawyers Guild offing free legal advice for people arrested during Occupy protests. Warner published that number hoping I guess that his readers will call the number themselves for whatever reason. I am calling them myself now, looking for legal advice regarding this. I guess I should thank Bill for that one.
Just looked at his Site… Seems like a wannabe something ? Not quite sure what.. Hope it’s Ok down there next week.. Look’s like Mother Nature is gonna show up for the Party.. Check my News Blog http://billinmissouri.blogspot.com Keep you head down and carry a umbrella. LOL and Geeezeee Scott stay out of Trouble ?
Just read the piece he wrote on you. I’m glad you’re taking action against such serious, unfounded allegations. Not to mention all the nasty personal attacks littered throughout the article. I have no idea who this guy is but it seems like his writing skills are on the level of a 10 year old’s. So are his “investigative” skills, obviously. Bizarre.
Make sure you let that asshole know what happens when you slander a good man and truth-teller, Scott!
There is only one thing worse than police brutality and thats a police brutality enthusiast. That’s this guy, seems like the Dale Gribble of wannabee Law Enforcement. Sue his as!!
somebody contact willy (i cant figure this site out) and ask him to watch this about possible suspects for the aurora shooting: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nWRvAGVYr-w
Scott, I think you must have really ticked someone off by messing with their game plan. The audacity!! LOL. I’m still a little surprised the mad dogs weren’t released with your coverage of Aurora.
But this guy apparently already has a dedicated ‘fan site’ (sarc).
