Israeli regime, West apoplectic over Syria: Tarpley

“The US, the British, the French and indeed the Israelis are now apoplectic,” said Dr. Webster Griffin Tarpley in an interview with Press TV on Friday.

“That’s what you see with Fabius. I would call attention to the language he decided when he says the Syrian regime should be smashed fast,” Tarpley added, referring to recent remarks by French Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius.

On Friday, the French foreign minister said, “The Syrian regime should be smashed fast… Bashar al-Assad doesn’t deserve to be on this earth.”

“This is a language we haven’t heard in Europe since the fascist era. This is the language of a fascist dictatorship and, well, Fabius is not quite that yet but you get the idea. It’s going in that direction,” Tarpley stated.

Security Council refuses to condemn attack against own peacekeepers

(Ready for a WTF moment? The UN security council refused to condemn the recent terrorist attack against their own people and what do you want to bet that it was Hillary and Susan Rice who blocked it?)

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on Twitter that he “fails to understand the position” of the Western Security Council members who refused to condemn the 15 August 2012 bomb attack behind the Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus used by the UN observer mission in Syria.

This is the first time in the history of the Organization that the Security Council refuses to condemn a terrorist act against its own observers.

“Truther” and Iraq Vet Arrested for Facebook Postings?

UPDATE: I just found where he started the “Richmond Liberty Movement” on Oct. 24th 2011 around the same time he started the “Sons and Daughters of Liberty” and his own Facebook page… all around the time when he was getting out of the military. The last Facebook posting on the Richmond Liberty Movement was on Nov 11 2011 which means it lasted less than a month. Actually, he claims he “has” the Facebook group “Sons and Daughters of Liberty” but that group seems to have been around since 2010. I don’t see a single mention of him or his arrest anywhere on that site.

UPDATE: Jenny Gallagher’s untimely death is getting stranger by the moment.

Judge ruled that defense does not have the right to have an expert observe testing materials in evidence. They claim testing will alter or even damage the evidence and they need to be present when the testing is done in order to verify accuracy. Judge ruled against them.

Holmes was recently evicted from his apartment. His remaining clothes and a bed were removed by the public defender’s office.

Of the 4.4 million dollars of donations already collected to help the victims of the Aurora Massacre, only a paltry $100,000 has been released to the actual victims. The not-for-profit set up to handle all the cash is making a big deal about releasing another $350,000 but according to my math, that leaves 4 million or so sitting in their accounts doing nothing. The judge has released the contact information of the victims to the charity so they can hand out the 350,000. Guess the 4 million is administrative fees…

New documents in the trial show that the cops in Aurora are worried about Holmes’ safety. Do we have another Jack Ruby moment in the near future?

Corbin Dates, the witness who claims to have seen someone receive a phone call and get up to open the emergency exit in the back of the theater apparently told one of Chris Mathews’ producers that the guy he saw had a goatee. When asked about that, he seems to confirm it live on Hardball. That story dropped down the memory hole pretty fast.

Early in the investigation, some MSM outlets seemed at least willing in indulge in some honest speculation raising questions about the case such as “who called him” “did he act alone” and “why would he set the traps up just to warn the cops before they were sprung”. There are many other questions but at least this was a start. It was also then end. No more uncomfortable questions seem to be coming from the complicit media about this case.

UPDATE: Chris P found this video where a newscaster reads off the list of what police found in James Holmes’ apartment. Included in that list is his cell phone. According to the official account of the story, the guy inside the theater (with the goatee) supposedly received a phone call and went outside the exit door while talking on his cell phone. If that was Holmes, then who’s phone did he have? Or was that not Holmes?

Cover-Up of Civilian Drone Deaths Revealed by New Evidence

Detailed information from the families of those killed in drone strikes in Pakistan and from local sources on strikes that have targeted mourners and rescue workers provides credible new evidence that the majority of the deaths in the drone war in Pakistan have been civilian noncombatants – not “militants,” as the Obama administration has claimed.

The new evidence also shows that the statistical tally of casualties from drone attacks in Pakistan published on the web site of the New America Foundation (NAF) has been systematically understating the deaths of large numbers of civilians by using a methodology that methodically counts them as “militants.”

The sharply revised picture of drone casualties conveyed by the two new primary sources is further bolstered by the recent revelation that the Obama administration adopted a new practice in 2009 of automatically considering any military-age male killed in a drone strike as a “militant” unless intelligence proves otherwise.

The detailed data from the two unrelated sources covering a total 24 drone strikes from 2008 through 2011 show that civilian casualties accounted for 74 percent of the death toll, whereas the NAF tally for the same 24 strikes showed civilian casualties accounted for only 30 percent of the total.
