Aurora Massacre: Recordings “Seized” by Police?

“For example, a newly disclosed index of hearings and motions made in the case shows 18th Judicial District Chief Judge William Sylvester has ordered prosecutors to provide a copy of a video to the defense but does not explain what the video contains.”

The motion is People’s Motion 8 as described in the Register of Action page 6 of 9… (click on image for larger view)

Defense was supposed to view the video by Aug. the 1st, but remember, the defense claimed just the other day that the prosecution has not been handing over evidence like they have been ordered to. Does that mean they haven’t been given the video as of yet?

UPDATE 2: (H/T Polaris) CBS is reporting that “sources” claim the video is of Holmes picking up a package of ammo from a Fed Ex office. Interestingly, the video also claims that the 90 packages delivered to Holmes which were reported before to have been delivered to his home, were actually ALL delivered to the University of Colorado medical campus. Remember, the university medical campus is owned by a guy who also owns a company which is in direct competition with Century 16 and they have sealed all their records in this case.

I’m not exactly sure what this means but a reader tipped me off to one of the documents released to the press in the Aurora Massacre case (Motion to Preserve and Produce Evidence (D-3)) which seems to imply that there were recordings “seized” by police which have yet to be released to the public. This document was one of those recently released (Aug. 13th 2012) as a result of the lawsuit brought by various media interests to unseal the evidence in the case.

Would they be cell phone videos inside the theater during the shooting or perhaps the security camera footage or even some hack who was recording the film to release it on the black market. Don’t know what this means but the defense was apparently very interesting in forcing the prosecution to preserve such recordings. (click on image for larger view)

Now, this could be a standard motion filed in courts these days since security camera videos are pretty much everywhere. But, I think it’s interesting that it’s the first article of the motion. Also of note is the second article of the motion requesting that the judge keep law enforcement from destroying their notes in this case, which apparently is standard operating procedure these days.

Aurora Massacre: Mayor Steve Hogan “There is Something is Very Seriously Wrong Here”

Common sense… it’s not just for conspiracy theorists anymore.

The Mayor of Aurora claims there is something very seriously wrong with this story. Now I’m not sure in what context he means that, but he goes on to describe James Holmes as connected with roots in the community. He claimed the guy went drinking with buddies every Friday night, that he had friends, that by all accounts, Holmes seemed normal in every way.

Perhaps what he finds “wrong” with the story can be summed up this way… (list taken from an earlier article)

1. that there were two gas masks taken into evidence and that one of them was 60 yards away in an area Holmes was never supposed to have been…
2. that Holmes was drugged up when they found him inside the car (not coming out of the theater as early reports indicated)
3. that Holmes was so drugged they couldn’t even take his mug shot booking photo for 3 days
4. that Holmes was so out of it when they found him they didn’t need to shoot him and they may have ordered a spine board to transport him to the police station because he couldn’t walk
5. the explanation of the disclosure of the so-called “stick figure drawing confession” changed 3 times and in the end the prosecution wondered how the media claimed they knew what was in the package before investigators even opened it
6. the fact that according to police transcripts and early reports to the press claimed they had one suspect in custody (drugged up Holmes) and one suspect still on the loose
7. that on July 20th (the day of the shooting) Mayor Bloomberg’s police commissioner Ray Kelly stated that Holmes claimed to be “the Joker” when arrested when in fact, he said nothing of the sort. Bloomberg has been using this case ever since to push for stricter gun control legislation across the country.
8. that ABC News deliberately misrepresented the statement by Holmes’ mother in order to implicate him as the shooter
9. extreme secrecy in which the case is being handled
10. the fact that his parents hired a lawyer to look after their interests in this case, but leave James with a public defender
11. the fact that James Holmes was not just normal, but exceptional, right up til the moment he decided to attack a bunch of people at a movie theater for no apparent reason

Go AMERICA! Ryan Road Show Descends into WWE Histrionics

Paul Ryan did a campaign stop at a state fair in Des Moines, Iowa yesterday during which he was bombarded with comments like “STOP THE WAR ON THE MIDDLE CLASS!” The dissidents were dragged out by several enthusiastic looking cops.

His supporters tried to shout down the hecklers with a rousing chorus of “USA USA USA”. I guess it’s all they could think of on short notice.

One can’t help but think of Ed Farhat, AKA “The Sheik“. He was a character in the National Wrestling Alliance back in the days when we hated Iran the first time after they threw out the Shah.

Whenever he would come into the ring, the crowd would always chant “USA USA USA” Nothing like a fake Sheik to make Americans feel good about themselves (while they actually love the real sheiks in Saudi Arabia and Qatar)

The fake “left vs right” WWE roadshow we call politics in this country has the population so dumbed down they can’t tell if they’re at a political rally or a wrestling match.

I think it’s kind of funny in a depressing sort of “let’s get the fuck out of this place” kinda way.

Watch for yourself and remember, I wrote about this farce of a VP selection a couple days ago and since then, it’s become even more obvious.

Aurora Massacre: Disclosure of the facts would cause “untold harm to the case” says Judge

I am reminded of what Supreme Court Justice Scalia said when he rushed to file a motion to stop counting the votes in Florida in 2000 – (paraphrase) “Continuing to count the votes will cause untold harm to George Bush’s presidency!” Yeah, I guess that does make sense in a fascist kind of way.

Arapaho County Court Judge William Sylvester denied most of a legal motion filed by a group of news agencies to unseal all the relevant documents in the Aurora massacre case. Both the prosecution AND the defense argued to keep the records sealed (and that should tell you something about the quality of the defense James Holmes is receiving)

The judge is keeping his gag order in place claiming disclosure would cause untold harm to the case. But is that really true or does this order have the potential to cause “untold harm” to the community? After all, if Holmes isn’t guilty of this cowardly attack, someone is.
