Today congress was supposed to act to help the post office keep from shutting it’s doors and instead they skipped out early leaving the American institution to fend for itself.
You can expect that though. The post office doesn’t take any money from the government to run. It’s self-sustained. But like the public education system and the prison system, the post office is a big prize to the privatization class. They can see billions in profits to be made from holding your mail hostage to their profit driven whims. Republicans and dems alike in the congress are licking their chops to hand over the much anticipated prize of the U.S. Postal Service to the oligarchs that own this country.
