The Department of Homeland Security and the city of Houston have put out a video instructing corporate America how to survive what they call an “active shooter event”

Once again, the rampaging “terrorist” is a white guy between the ages of 25-40 or so. They suggest you run or hide. In the end, they suggest you improvise a weapon and fight.

Notice, they don’t suggest you have a legal firearm and a conceal carry permit. No, they suggest you grab a plastic coffee pot or an ashtray and ambush the guy carrying an assault rifle. How do you suppose that will work out?

Congress Wants to See Obama’s “License to Kill”

Congress is finally standing up to President Barack Obama on targeted killing. Almost a year after three American citizens were killed in US drone strikes, legislators are pushing the administration to explain why it believes it’s legal to kill American terror suspects overseas.

Congress is considering two measures that would compel the Obama administration to show members of Congress what Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) calls Obama’s “license to kill”: internal memos outlining the legal justification for killing Americans overseas without charge or trial. Legislators have been asking administration officials to release the documents for nearly a year, raising the issue multiple times in hearings and letters. But the new proposals, including one from Sen. John Cornyn (R-Texas) first flagged by blogger Marcy Wheeler and another in a separate intelligence bill, aren’t requests—they would mandate disclosure. That shift shows both Republicans and Democrats are growing impatient with the lack of transparency on targeted killings…

… The New York Times has confirmed the existence of a secret memo from the Justice Department’s Office of Legal Counsel (OLC)—the branch of the government that tells the president whether what he wants to do is legal—outlining the legal basis for the targeted killing program. But the Obama administration has yet to acknowledge that any such memo exists, despite defending the targeted killing policy in speeches and public appearances, and is currently fighting an American Civil Liberties Union lawsuit that seeks to force the government to reveal the legal justification for targeted killing. Now Congress seems to be moving towards the ACLU’s position.

Leon Panetta Threatens the Family of Assad

Leon Panetta must be removed from office. Yesterday on CNN he publicly threatened the family of President Assad of Syria.

Threatening the lives of national leaders is almost commonplace with American politicians,but threatening the lives of their families is beyond reprehensible… it’s thuggish and cowardly and makes this country look like nothing more than vile gangsters leading cowardly sheep.

These photos of the Assad family came out a little while ago. I don’t know how old the pictures are but these are the people that our Secretary of Defense and former head of the CIA just publicly threatened to murder…

Yesterday, James Holmes heard charges against him in Arapahoe County District Court. According to reports, it was the defense attorneys who requested that District Chief Judge William Sylvester ban video and still cameras from the courtroom during Monday’s hearing.

Why would his defense do that? You would think they would want the public to see how out of it Holmes is because clearly she is going for an insanity plea. So why would she want to keep the people from seeing him? Is it because they are keeping him drugged to the gills whenever he is in a situation where he is in the public view for fear he might say something like “I’m just the patsy”? Whatever the reason, here in the information age of the 21st century, this is what justice is boiled down to: secret trials based on secret evidence.

Holmes has been charged with 24 counts of murder… 2 for each of his victims. I won’t go into how they came to that conclusion.

Again they are challenging the official story of the “stick figure drawing confession” book. The prosecution claims the early reports about what was in that book are wrong because they hadn’t even opened the package when those stories came out. Kinda dug themselves into a hole there: if it turns out there are “stick figure” confessions in that book, that leaves the prosecution to explain how someone knew what was in the book before looking at it. Hmmm….

“Authorities seized the package July 23, three days after the shooting, after finding it in the mailroom of the medical campus where Holmes studied. Several media outlets reported that it contained a notebook with descriptions of an attack, but Arapahoe County District Attorney Carol Chambers said in court papers that the parcel hadn’t been opened by the time the “inaccurate” news reports appeared….” The Blaze

Talk about trying someone in the press. This guy claims it ain’t a “whodunit” mystery but rather a question of whether or not Holmes is clinically insane. Well, I beg to differ… if he was passed out cold when the cops found him and they needed a spine board to move him, and there’s that extra gas mask sitting way over next to the main street, I would say it is kinda a whodunit mystery, isn’t it?

“I don‘t think it’s too hard to predict the path of this proceeding,” said Craig Silverman, a former chief deputy district attorney in Denver. “This is not a whodunit. … The only possible defense is insanity.” The Blaze

I also read somewhere that Holmes again appeared drugged out of his gourd during the hearing.

I never promote anything on this site and I’m certainly not paid to do this but after all the time I have spent flushing out the steady stream of sophomoric, ham-handed propaganda coming out of Hollywood these days, it’s nice to sit back and present this extended trailer for a film that appears to be written at above a 6th grader’s comprehension level which would appear to present an idea wholly different that the “dog eat dog” ideology of neo-liberalism and libertarianism and corporatism that we are fed day in and day out. It’s nice every now and again, to focus on art that lifts rather than degrades. According to the directors it took them a year to get a Hollywood studio to distribute the film. It was funded by German companies… apparently no one with cash in the US wanted to make it.

Dawood National Military Hospital, Afghanistan: What Happened and What Went Wrong?

Perhaps the most horrific story on the brutality of the Afghan occupation that you are going to see all year. They tried to cover it up for various reasons; they didn’t want bad press coming out of Afghanistan and at least one 3 star general didn’t want to embarrass President Obama before the election. An 11.2 billion dollar training program paid for by the US taxpayers. The hospital is run at a level of malfeasance that goes well beyond what any sane person would call corruption. Doctors and nurses forcing the families of the soldiers to pay bribes for the treatment of their loved ones. Medications being routinely sold on the black market to the tune of hundreds of millions of dollars. Death squads roaming the hallways…. all of this under the watchful eye of the US trainers who were there and on staff. The photos at the Information Clearinghouse site (link below) are grotesque to say the least. And this went on for years. Gen. Petraeus was apparently briefed on this years ago and did nothing. He now runs the CIA as a proxy for Panetta. The conditions these soldiers were kept in rivals anything that I have heard of being done to POWs in Vietnam or even Japan.

Aurora Massacre: American Everyman’s Interview on Rob Daven’s Jungle Apocalypse

Rob hosts Jungle Apocalypse and contributes to Conspiracy HQ as well as several other alternative news sites across the net. Rob interviewed Scott Groves (of Digital Treason) and I on the subject of the Aurora Massacre. We discussed the latest information to come out on the subject, various evidence and theories, and what we feel is the purpose behind it. Syrian Destabilization Campaign: Kronen Zeitung Photoshop Propaganda

UPDATE: The Obama administration has cleared the way for U.S. NGOs to provide financial and technical support to the marauding terrorist groups in Syria.

The Treasury Department’s Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) last week sent the waiver to Brian Sayers, of the Syrian Support Group, which describes itself as “a United States-based non-profit organization committed to supporting the Free Syrian Army.”

“The OFAC decision is huge,” Sayers said. “It gets us the leeway to support the Free Syrian Army in broad terms.”

The Syrian Support Group, according to Sayers, aims to “provide direct support for the FSA, and to stand up the Free Syrian Army as the future Syrian Army,” which “requires both short term things — financial operations, logistics support, communications— but also long-term support: security sector reform, a training doctrine.” AntiWar

Apparently it’s now OK to provide weapons and cash to terrorist organizations just so long as you are an NGO funded by the same corporations that will swoop in and pick the meat off the bones of the Syrian civilization in the aftermath of the pending humanitarian shock and awe.

Well, thanks to a head’s up from one of my readers, we have a new bit of disinformation to add to the growing list of efforts made by the international complicit press to demonize the Assad government in Syria. A paper in Austria has taken an image from Homs and Photoshopped a family onto it and now they claim it’s from Aleppo.

No UN Arms Treaty… for now

UPDATE: On Thursday, 51 senators had sent a letter to Obama and Hillary Clinton stating that they would vote against the arms treaty. So the treaty would have been a difficult sell anyway especially this close to the upcoming election. The senators claimed the treaty would make it more difficult to transport small arms within the country’s borders. It’s no surprise that Obama backed off the treaty given the fact that to ratify it, he would have needed 2/3 of the senate to vote for it.

“The senators said as the negotiations continue, “we strongly encourage your administration not only to uphold our country’s constitutional protections of civilian firearms ownership, but to ensure — if necessary, by breaking consensus at the July conference — that the treaty will explicitly recognize the legitimacy of lawful activities associated with firearms, including but not limited to the right of self-defense.

Hannaford Canned Mosquitoes. It’s What’s for Dinner!

mmmmm good. I just opened up a can of Hannaford whole kernel corn and guess what I found? I found a GM mosquito floating around in the GMO corn! And look at the size of him! Looks like he’s been drinking some of the BGH milk! I wonder where that little guy is from. He’s held up remarkably well, only seems to have lost one leg in the trip over here. Needless to say, I won’t be having corn this evening. Wanna see some pictures? It’s appetizing.

I keep seeing this spine board in the photos of the crime scene. It’s tucked neatly under the car but you can see part of it sticking out behind the trunk. Why would that be there? If it was for victims, do you think the emergency crews would have put it in the middle of the evidence being investigated by the police, FBI, and ATF? Do you think they would have just left it there for no apparent reason? Why is it there? What does that tell us?

Syrian Destabilization Campaign: Another Massacre While Olympics Distract?

SANA, the Syrian Arab News Agency (the most reliable source of information on the ongoing Syrian Destabilization Campaign) is apparently being blocked here in the United States. Either that or my ISP Verizon is blocking it themselves.

With SANA out of the picture, the propagandists are running amok with their disinfo on the US instigated Syrian coup. This is typical info wars type black ops; take out reliable sources of information and flood the press with erroneous reports. The idea is to demoralize Syrian supporters and the Syrian people while also beginning the narrative that the Syrian government is no longer in control of the country.

Even more concerning for the Syrian people is the fact that the Olympics just kicked off. God knows what Clinton and the “Friends of Syria” have in mind for Syria while the world is distracted by the glitz and glamor of the Olympic product marketing pageant. After all, that is the established M.O. for their massacre-marketing strategy.

Aurora Massacre: Stick Figure Confession = FBI Drop Gun?

UPDATE 2: Now they say they didn’t look in the package of “stick figure drawing” confessions and that news reports about them contain significantly untrue details. They claim they didn’t examine the contents of the box. What? No stick figure drawing confession? What a shame.

UPDATE: Now the defense attorneys are saying James was a patient of Lynne Fenton, the medical school’s student mental health director and that the book is protected under doctor-patient confidentiality laws. See update after article for quote and link.

Fox News is standing by their original timeline (read my first article on the story when it broke) which stated that the package that was “discovered” at the university mail-room containing a notebook with what amounts to “stick figure” drawing confession from James Holmes, was there since July 12th. You will remember that quickly after the story came out, the people shaping the narrative of this investigation made some radical adjustments to the story for obvious reasons (lawsuits and lots of them). Fox is insisting that their “unnamed source” is more reliable than a university spokesman who would certainly be motivated by protecting the institution from potential liability claims, so they are standing firm on their story. And as it just so happens, the feds don’t seem very interested in tracking this package through the postal service like they did all those others. In my experience, if you don’t look for something, it’s because you don’t want to find it.

I wonder why that is.

Aurora Massacre: The Shape of Things to Come

Aside from the relevant details and all the conflicting facts that have been uncovered about this case, the Aurora Massacre, why is it that it just seems too… well… to “perfect” (not to mince words) to be something born of a diseased and drug addled mind of a 24 year old kid with no particular political leaning?

Why this place? Why this kid? Was he really capable of this horror? Do the answers to questions like these need to be found or is it all just too “plausible” that Holmes got lit-up on drugs and pulled off the mass murder of the century on pure instinct alone?

What is at stake? Why this film? When so many details of the case are suspicious, an active and diligent citizenry is required to look at them carefully and dispassionately for the sake of yesterday’s victims (finding them real justice) and for tomorrow’s.
