Obama Administration Undermines Syrian Peace Process While Planning Military Action

As the already wisp-thin line between the Obama administration and the Clinton regime fades to nothing, their brutal destabilization campaign in Syria racks up more dead and wounded civilians, police officers, and military personnel. As the body count rises, the Obama administration and various chicken-hawk war-mongers in congress are announcing the failure of the Kofi Annan Peace Plan while planning military further action.

Well, of course it failed. We are making sure it fails.

The Clintons and the Saudis are making sure it fails before the upcoming May 7th Syrian Parliamentary elections by committing acts of terrorism then blaming the Syrian government for trying to protect their people and their nation.

The last thing the Obama/Clinton regime want is for the Syrian population to “vote the wrong way” like the people of Palestine did in 2006, like the people of Chile did in 1970, and like the people of the United States did in 2000 and 2004. So they got just over a week to fix that.

Terrorist Attacks in Syria Not Really “Terrorism”

You could practically hear the cheers of approval rising up from Wall Street and their sycophants in congress (Lieberman, McCain, and others) as 4 bombs went off in Damascus this past Friday killing and wounding civilians in Syria’s capital city.

“The Syrian capital was hit by four explosions Friday that left at least 11 people dead and dozens wounded. Assad’s government blamed the blasts on “terrorists,” the term the government uses to describe opposition forces it says are carrying out a foreign conspiracy.” Associated Press

Notice how the Associated Press puts the word terrorists in quotation marks then refers to the terrorists as “opposition forces”, hence displaying the right think way of referencing them.

By any definition of the term “terrorist”, targeting civilian populations in an effort to force a political or socioeconomic change on a political system is “terrorism”. Hence, the opposition forces that the Obama/Clinton regime supports are in fact “terrorists”. There is no other intellectually honest way to understand this glaring reality without performing a rather monumental feat of mental gymnastics.

There’s an article in the New York Times today explaining how the FBI manufactured “terrorist” plots so they could rack up arrests in their ongoing “war on terrorism” here in America.  These alleged plots are easily considered terrorism by the Feds and the press outlets because they supposedly targeted civilian and government targets in an effort to destabilize the nation. Yet we are supposed to believe without question that these exact same actions taking place in places like Bosnia, Libya, and Syria aren’t also acts of terrorism as well?

In the disconnected, maladjusted world we live in, nothing our government sanctions is considered terrorism no matter how many civilians die, no matter how many children are maimed. Even as they publicly announce their intentions to remake a politician system and overthrow democratically elected governments, our involvement is never described as terrorism though that is exactly what it is.

Instead, our actions are simply considered the pursuit of our own “national interests” (defined as: Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan Chase, Halliburton, Monsanto, United Fruit, Bechtel, GE, Lockheed Martin, Exxon Mobil, Pepsi, Alcoa, ect. ect. ect.)

Arms Flowing to Foreign Paid Mercenaries in Syria

Arms are flowing into Syria by the boatload. These weapons are being given to the so-called “army defectors” who are actually a combination of various mercenaries now being paid by a few of our client states in the region.

In Lebanon, military prosecutor Saqr Saqr said the army confiscated weapons that were found aboard a ship intercepted off the Lebanese coast. Saqr said an investigation was under way, adding that the 11 crew members were being questioned by Lebanese military police.

“The Lebanese army said in a statement that the ship, “Lutfallah II,” carried a Sierra Leone flag and had three containers filled with “large amounts of weapons and ammunition” on board. It said the crew members were of different nationalities, including some Arabs, but was not more specific.

The ship reportedly sailed from Libya and stopped in Egypt and the port of Tripoli, Lebanon, en route to Syria.” Associated Press

While these weapons are being used in street battles to attack government buildings and police, the “opposition forces” are starting to take to the seas as well:

“The state-run news agency also said military units stationed off the Mediterranean foiled an attempt by “armed groups” to enter the country from the sea earlier Saturday — the first reported rebel infiltration from the sea. SANA said the navy forced the boats to flee, but some Syrian service members were killed or wounded.” Associated Press

You will recall that the “opposition forces” in Libya were also aided by NATO aligned countries during their destabilization campaign. This process seems to be following a script.

Obama Administration Already Giving Up on Peace Plan

Right on  cue, the Obama administration and war mongering neocons like John McCain are already sounding the death knell of the Kofi Annan Peace Plan:

The UN-backed Syria peace plan is failing, State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland said, casting doubt on the prospects for stopping the bloodshed soon.

Citing the Syrian government’s attacks on civilians and its failure to withdraw heavy weapons from population centers, Nuland yesterday blamed President Bashar al-Assad for the fact that “the plan as a whole is failing.” She said it’s still essential to deploy as many as 300 unarmed UN cease-fire observers in the effort to limit the violence.  Bloomberg News

Can you imagine the audacity it takes to make such a ludicrous demand?

Imagine Russia demanding that the United States withdraw defense forces from Florida as their paid terrorists from Cuba continue to blow up government buildings and open fire on Tampa or Orlando police officers in broad daylight.

John McCain went so far as to advocate arming the terrorist with even more weapons as they seem to be running low on suicide bombers willing to kill themselves before they get their next paycheck from our friends in Saudi Arabia.

“What is obvious and indisputable is that the Kofi Annan plan has failed,” Senator John McCain said at the hearing. The Arizona Republican, who recently visited refugee camps on Turkey’s border with Syria, said it is a “shameful situation” that civilians “are being slaughtered” by the Syrian regime.

“We are talking about economic sanctions and diplomatic sanctions when we should be helping these people as we helped the people of Bosnia, as we helped in Libya, and we’ve helped in other times in our history,” said McCain, who advocates arming the opposition.

… The state-run SANA news agency said a suicide bomber detonated his explosives belt as worshipers were leaving the Zein al-Abidin Mosque in Damascus, killing nine people including government security personnel. Bloomberg News

Not so ironically, McCain cites other successful Clinton terrorist destabilization campaigns in Bosnia and Libya in order to make his point.

Remember how gleeful Hillary was when Moammar Gadhafi was murdered in cold blood at the end of that destabilization campaign? She was gleeful because she knew that no trial would ever take place that would expose the American connections to the terrorists who ran that operation. She also knew that she would get a piece of the action when the country was chopped up and handed out to the globalist corporations and financial institutions like a steel mill bought up by Mitt Romney’s old firm.

Pentagon Preparing Military Action

Having succeeded in presenting a failed Peace Plan to the world by continuing to finance and support terrorist in Syria, now the “Peace Prize” President is planning for military action. NATO claims they will not intervene so that leaves Obama and a potential “coalition of the willing” to bomb Syrian civilians into accepting a neoliberalized nation.

Pentagon officials are drawing up plans in the event that President Barack Obama decides to pursue military options in Syria, Kathleen Hicks, an administration nominee to the Defense Department’s policy staff, told the Senate Committee on Armed Services April 26.

Both she and Derek Chollet, the president’s nominee to be assistant secretary of defense for international security affairs, said in their testimony April 26 that the Annan plan is “failing.”

“We are doing a significant amount of planning for a wide range of scenarios, including our ability to assist allies and partners along the borders,” said Hicks, the nominee to be principal deputy undersecretary of defense for policy. Bloomberg News

Left out of the equation is the fact that Obama has no constitutional authority to “decide to pursue military options” on his own accord.

Of course, last month Leon Panetta made it perfectly clear that the Obama administration needs no congressional approval to attack civilians in any country they so choose.

In a telling statement, one of the so-called “opposition activists” made it clear that the observer mission seems to actually be working, while also giving us a better understanding of what is actually happening in Homs:

An activist in the central city of Homs, speaking via Skype, said violence had dropped sharply since the observers deployed a permanent two-man team to the restive city last week.

“There are still violations, but the shelling and mortar fire has stopped,” Karam Abu Rabea said. “We have insisted that the observers stay in Homs because we know if they leave (the attacks) will continue.”

He said the presence of the monitors on Saturday had allowed residents to retrieve three bodies that had previously been too risky to collect because of the threat of sniper fire. Chicago Tribune

There have been various reports that the mortar attacks in Homs are actually the work of the so-called “opposition activists” and this new development tends to lend more credibility to that conclusion.

The fact that the opposition is having to refrain from attacking Homs while the observers are stationed there is certainly good news for the people of Homs and also for the Syrian government.

It seems that the Obama administration is doing everything they can to derail a May 7th Parliamentary election in Syria. Victoria Nuland has already gone on record saying the elections should not take place amid all the violence. Well, if she believes that then maybe her State Department should stop financing all that violence.

Seems they got another week to derail that whole “democracy thing” so they can bring “freedom and democracy” to Syria. At least, the kind of freedom that allows them to chop up their state and sell it off to the lowest bidder and the kind of democracy that allows opposition activists to round-up Syrians who like Assad and kill them like is happening in Libya as we speak.
