It is being reported (here, here, here and here ) that the United States has announced that it is going to postpone “Austere Challenge 12”, the US-Israel joint-missile defense drill slated to start up in April. According to most reports the U.S. has backed off of the potentially inflammatory drills due to current instability of the region and the lack of evidence of Iran’s pursuit of a nuclear weapon. But there may be more to it than meets the eye of the average MSM stenographer.
Was this run-up to WWIII simply a game of imperial brinksmanship? Were the NATO powers trying to force Russia and China to allow a Libyan type sanction against Syria by threatening all out world war starting in Iran? Did we blink first or did the major powers who have been defending Syria agree to some backroom deal trading their tacit support of a R2P bombing of Syria for an agreement to leave Iran alone for now?
Austere Challenge 12 was announced back in early November of last year as a result of Israel’s “madman on the block” act. They were playing the role of the out of control allies whom the US could barely keep in check. The US set up this naval drill with Israel practically in Iranian waters and Britain was sending over warships as well.
The announcement of this drill coincided neatly with the Russian and Chinese rare double veto at the U.N. Security Council on Oct the 4th of last year. The veto threat kept the NATO backed countries from creating yet another “right to protect” no-fly zone in Syria much like the one they used as a pre-text to attack and invade Libya (and force neoliberalization on their economy) which resulted in a reported 50,000 civilian casualties.
Also in November of last year, Iran made it clear as well that they would intervene in any foreign attacks on Syria. Take a look at this timeline:
- Russia and China move to block the UN Security Council Resolution on Syria on Oct. 4th 2011.
- US and Saudi Arabia cook up ridiculous story about Iranian assassination plot Oct. 11th 2011
- Iran announces that it will intervene on behalf of Syria. Nov 2nd or 3rd.
- Israel and the US announce Austere Challenge. Nov 10th 2011.
- Israel winks at an attack on an Iranian missile base Nov 12th 2011.
- Obama signs NDAA with new harsher sanctions against Iran’s nationalized central bank Dec. 31st 2011
- An Iranian nuclear scientist is assassinated. Jan 10th 2012.
- Russia will not honor sanctions on Iranian oil. Jan. 11th 2012
- EU will “delay” sanctions of Iranian oil for 6 months. Jan 13th 2012
- Russia will not honor sanctions on Iranian central bank. Jan 15th 2012
- Austere Challenge postponed. Jan. 16th 2012
- Iran announces they are committed to defending Syria if they are attacked by NATO. Jan. 16th 2012

The Globalist supported “Green Revolution” in Iran is now pushing for a NATO backed regime change in Syria just like they did with the Libyan “revolution”. The Western backed Syrian Opposition leaders recently called for the Arab League, a group of puppet regimes and dictators in the Middle East, to push for another attempt at obtaining a UN Security Council Resolution setting up a no-fly zone like the one in Libya. That was only a few days ago.
Iran announced today that they are still honoring their promise to stand by Syria militarily if they are attacked by NATO.
What does all of this mean?
Are they simply trying to preemptively absolve Peace Prize Obama from his guilt for setting the stage for WWIII by pretending to back off the Iranian Cuban Missile Crisis when in fact they have another false flag event already set in place?
Are they backing off because the Russians and the Chinese and the Iranians have taken this game of world annihilation brinkmanship to the very edge of disaster?
Are the Israeli sources correct when they claim that Obama is stepping back because of the pending election?
Did someone in the military finally put the brakes on this train wreck like one general did during the Bush regime?
Or… did the Russians and the Chinese agree to let the globalist Clinton machination have Syria as a token sacrifice after all?
It’s impossible to say at this point. We will have to wait and see how it all plays out over the next few days. If some US boat scheduled to be decommissioned soon enough happens to stray over a smart mine in the straight, or if Russia and China back off a new UN Security Council Resolution for Syria, then we will have our answer.
If the globalists turn their attention to ransacking some other little nation with less powerful friends, we will have an answer as well.
But for now, it seems the pressure cooker has been turn down a notch. Let’s put bets on how long it lasts. Hillary isn’t one to give up that easily.

Tense times, these–like those of the early 60s. Somebody wrote a book about those times, claiming JFK and Niki had some kind of a secret, backdoor relationship going on. That’s supposed to be what saved the planet, according to lots of smart people.
Who among us can know what’s underneath stuff at this level? Who among the players even knows the whole picture?
I don’t know how long this will last, but I’m betting there’s a hand in the game that nobody can account for or get around.

Perhaps. I had heard and I wrote about it once, that Cuba had Soviet nukes and a Soviet general who had the launch codes with him. The story goes that Castro contacted the Soviet Union and asked for permission to use them if the United States landed on Cuban soil for an invasion. McNamarra mentioned that Castro told him once that they had nukes and were all too ready to launch them even though it would have meant sure destruction of Cuba. I had heard that JFK and McNamarra knew of this back then and the fact that Cuba was willing to endure complete destruction rather than submit to our imperialist occupation again turned the tide in their favor and we backed down calling it a “draw”
It’s possible that something similar has happened here. We pushed it straight to the edge of the line and Iran and Russia and China refused to back down. This kind of brinksmanship apparently goes on more than any of us know. Hard to say. Perhaps there is another hand at work here. With other countries backing away from the oil sanctions, perhaps it’s the invisible hand of the market at work. Greed does have it’s upside at times. Who knows.
I’d say greed has it’s hand in it, for sure–maybe because there might be a Castro in this mix, too. Judging from all the suicide bombings we’ve seen, it’s something they can’t dismiss.

I think Obama is under pressure from his wife Michelle. The Zionist media have started their propaganda against her. I watched recently clips saying she sits in meetings, tells off Obama’s “Zionist advisers”. Remember that Obama’s largest voting base were the African American and they are the largest group who have been let down by this government. Michelle Obama is a true rag to riches lady, I think she deserves credit for this. Obama represents a child from bad parenting that is the father contributed nothing towards his child upbringing. Which is atypical for the African American community. No I am not a racists.
