I caught Maher Arar on TRNN vid giving his take on this Syrian “revolution” : he seems to take the side of the “rebels”, says the pro Assad demos are fake…people forced to demo. All this from a guy screwed by Assad…AND by the imperialists who’re turning on Assad? Go figger’…
Yeah, I saw that video. Most of the comments on it are along the same line of yours, saying it’s pretty obvious that the guy had a bone to pick with the Syrian regime.
Here’s the first thing I thought about when I saw the video… if he was turned over to the Syrian regime “for torture”, how and why was he set free? The interviewer never asked him that little tidbit of info which I think is rather important to the story. In fact, the guy sued everyone he could, but he never filed a suit against Syria… the country that supposedly tortured him?
What do you make of that?
