In a continuation of the interview which I posted late last night, Rachel Maddow has on Naomi Klein to talk about the process of disaster capitalism being implemented in Wisconsin and Michigan and all through-out the United States. This is primarily what this website has been about since it’s creation nearly 4 years ago.
The process is the exact same one that the World Bank and the IMF and their “economic hit-men” have been using on other nations all across the globe over the past 30-40 years now, starting really with Chile on Sept. 11th, 1973 when they overthrew the elected president in a bloody coup and installed the Milton Friedman economic model of Chicago School Economics… ie neoliberalism.
Naomi accurately explains that this is an ideology, and anti-democratic ideology where the people “elected” to positions in our government actually hate our system of government and are currently working their hardest to destroy it from within so that they can consolidate power and hand over public held assets to cronys and favored corporations. It’s called fascism folks, “neoliberalism’ is just a kinder/gentler word for its rebranding. These people, neocons, New Dems, Libertarians, they hate “big government”, look to privatize everything, they hate regulations, and the specifically hate public education so that they can keep the majority of the people ignorant and servile and generate immense profits from the privatization of what little education they intend to keep.
If you think public education is indoctrinated now, just wait till your kids are taught by school systems owned by News Corp and WalMart and Halliburton. It will happen and by the way, your tax money will STILL pay for it. That’s the plan.
“The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite
and world bankers is surely preferable to the national
auto-determination practiced in past centuries.” David Rockefeller, 1991 Germany
What is happening right now in Michigan happened in Iraq right after the invasion. These “economic managers” took over various sectors of the country and had absolute power to dictate everything that happened. They destroyed unions, privatized everything, and basically destroyed the country in the process. And now they are looking at Michigan. Paul Krugman wrote about this the other week in the New York Times in an article he called “Shock Doctrine USA“
Its well documented, these economic hitmen and their controllers. Their history is filled with legendary corruption and graft and for examples of such, just check out Russia under Yeltsin. But if you go to the state department website that lists various “conspiracy theories“, this is what you find…
“Economic conspiracy theories are often based on the false, but popular, idea that powerful individuals are motivated overwhelmingly by their desire for wealth, rather than the wide variety of human motivations we all experience. (This one-dimensional, cartoonish view of human nature is at the heart of Marxist ideology, which once held hundreds of millions under its sway.)
One fantasy, reflecting this simplistic, unimaginative way of interpreting human events, falsely claims that U.S. national security agencies employ “economic hit men” to entrap countries with huge amounts of debt.” State Department
Notice that they hint at their extremist economic ideology by claiming these “conspiracy theories” are borne of what they call “Marxist ideologies”. These are the same kinds of people who planned to overthrow the U.S. government in 1934 in what became known as “The Business Plot”, because they hated what FDR was doing in response to the manufactured economic crisis of 1929 created by Wall Street and certain corporate heads. Had it not been for the patriotism and courage of Gen. Smedley Butler, they would have succeeded and probably killed that president, like they killed another some 30 years later.
They have been working on this version of their plan for America since 1971 and the Lewis Powell Memo laid out a plan of action for using think-tanks and hijacked political parties to reset America back to the glory days of the robber barons and a pure fascist state where “big government” is destroyed leaving corporate and banking institutions in control of everything. Michigan is just the most recent example and the most obvious.
“We are grateful to the Washington Post, The New York Times, Time
Magazine and other great publications whose directors have attended
our meetings and respected their promises of discretion for almost
forty years.”“It would have been impossible for us to develop our plan for the world
if we had been subjected to the lights of publicity during those years.
But, the world is now more sophisticated and prepared to march towards a
world government. The supranational sovereignty of an intellectual elite
and world bankers is surely preferable to the national
auto-determination practiced in past centuries.” David Rockefeller, 1991 Germany

Fuck sophistication. I go with my heart, these days.
I vote a socialist ticket whenever I can find one, and I throw shit in their path every chance I get.

Fascist pigs…. that is what the Rockefellers are.
I’ll say it and say it again!
Community Based Industry:
No one should be allowed to own more that 20 times what they need to make a living and live comfortably. People should be required to register their substantial holdings, and if they exceed the 20 times limit, a random jury should force them to sell off the excess, and reduce their holdings to 15 times what they need. The proceeds should go to the government. Anything they fail to register should be confiscated, and those who willfully avoid registering assets should be punished. That is the only way to control economic royalism and protect freedom and human rights.
Most of our industry has been sold for profit and shipped down the river to other nations, and there is perhaps only one way to rebuild it. All large industry should be owned and completely controlled by democratic communities and towns. Each community would own an industry, which could only be sold to another community. Some communities would have to be larger than others. For example, an ironmaking operation would require a large community, or consortium of communities. There could be government sponsored research and development communities too. Employees would have to live in the communities, and thus there would be a powerful incentive to minimize pollution. Small businesses would be operated by ordinary companies.
End the rich!
Read John Perkin’s book, “The Confessions of an Economic Hitman”. Great read and puts to rest the State Department propaganda.
I think you are doing an awesome job, bringing this information to light. However, Perhaps you could also give practical advice for the average person on how to survive such oppressive neoliberal economics?

It is an excellent website devoted to anti-corporatism and anti-consumerism. I think you should add it to your list.
