“I Feel Their Paaaaaiiiiiiiinnnnnn!” Bill Clinton Makes His Apology for the Neoliberalization of Haiti as He Gears Up to Do It Again

by Scott Creighton

I wish I could tell you this was an April Fools joke. I really do.

About a month ago Bill Clinton sat in congress and admitted that he played a vital part in the willful destruction of the agricultural base of Haiti in order to “relieve them of the burden of producing their own food so they could leap right into the industrial revolution“.  Not only does he try to pass off their neoliberalization scheme as a “mistake” but he admits it was really only good for ”some of my farmers (subsidized rice farmers) in Arkansas“.

Well, not only was it good for “his farmers” from his home state who just happened to be political donors as well, but it was also very good for another interest he had back in the day; the company that created a Board of Directors chair for his wife when he became Governor of Arkansas.

Hutaree 9 Update

by Scott Creighton (H/T to an old friend)

Well, it turns out that the leader of the Hutaree 9 likes giving speeches. He intended to give one at the rally they were going to with all the other militia members, but they couldn’t get through the snow storm.

So today in court, the prosecutor played the recording the informant made of the leader rehearsing his speech. In that recording he said things like “take back our country” and ” a war is coming” so forth and so on…

BUT THERE WAS NO RECORDING OFFERED BY THE PROSECUTION OF ANYONE MAKING THREATS OR PLANNING TO KILL COPS…

Instead, the prosecutor testified that the informant TOLD him this… and therefore we are supposed to TAKE HIS WORD FOR IT.

Several defense attorneys objected to Waterstreet’s testimony, arguing there was no opportunity to cross-examine the undercover agent. Seatle Times

Heres a question… if the informant was wearing a wire on which he recorded the rehearsal of the speech, why doesn’t the prosecutor have any recordings of the planning of the attack on the police? Theres a little question, huh?
