Cranking up the Bullshit on Iran Again: “Several Thousand” (or is it 25?) Protest

by Scott Creighton

Does THIS look like “several thousand” protesters as described in war profiteer GE’s MSNBC/AP article?

"Thousands" of protesters? Give me a break.

"Thousands" of protesters? Give me a break.

(Let’s count them together 1,2,3,…. 25…. 25…. 25…. I count 25 Young Republican looking guys. Now I could be wrong… let’s count them again just to be sure.  Wouldn’t want to report something that was complete BULLSHIT, now would I?   1, 2, 3, … 25.  I keep getting 25.  Is that close to “thousands”?)

If you go to the MSNBC site where I linked, you can see they offer “10 Related Photos“… so I figure, ok, there will be pictures of “thousands of protesters” like MSNBC said; wrong.  The “related photos” are from June 27th in Iran or from Georgia, believe it or not. Either way, no photographic evidence of “thousands of protesters” to be found. Yet, that doesn’t stop war-profiteer GE from using it’s mouth-piece, MSNBC, to stir up more trouble in Iran.

Thousands of protesters streamed down avenues of the capital Thursday, chanting “death to the dictator” and defying security forces who fired tear gas and charged with batons, witnesses saidMSNBC

Ahh, of course… the UNNAMED “WITNESSES”… ah, well that explains it. Nothing wrong with quoting “unnamed witnesses” now is there?

And of course, Breathless Andrew Sullivan has taken up the new contract from Burson-Marsteller to post more Twitter lies about what is happening over there. It seems he also just HAPPENED to get a hold of the same photo op set of pictures from the “Burning Trash Bin” set in the middle of a street in Iran… almost as if the set of propaganda pics that MSNBC and Sullivan both have, came from the same “person” (or PR agency).

Well, here we go again folks.

  1. yeah, I counted 25!
Now if they want to see thousands of protesters in a picture…. show them the pictures of protesters at the airport in Honduras…… that’s what thousands look like.

  2. So if I understand this correctly, what you’re saying is that if this road is a few miles long, then 25 people for every dozen yards or so, wow that would definitely be over a thousand! Maybe more! Thanks for helping me with math!!
