Barak Obama has declined to speak out about the horrendous attacks Israel is currently conducting against the Palestinian people of Gaza. And the rest of the world has condemned his complict silence while his “progressive” supporters wait and hope for “Change™“. He has sited the laughable excuse that we only have “one president at a time” and it would be inappropriate for him to use his influence while President Bush is in office. That’s just fascinating, because to date, he has chimed in on EVERY SINGLE MAJOR ISSUE and most of his comments result in action being taken, one way or the other. Also to date, he has been ABSOLUTELY WRONG EVERY TIME HE OPENED HIS MOUTH.
But as Axelrod told CBS and repeated on NBC’s Meet the Press, there is only one president at a time and Obama would honor President Bush’s decisions.
President elect Obama commented on the Blagojevich case when he called for Gov. Blagojevich to resign because of alleged charges of “selling the senate seat”… (turns out later, that his own “investigation” into the matter has shown that Blagojevich did not attempt to “sell the senate seat” at all…)
Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs told the Associated Press that the president-elect believes Blagojevich should resign, saying “under the current circumstances it is difficult for the governor to effectively do his job and serve the people of Illinois.”
He even went so far as to suggest publicly that lawmakers in the state find some way to strip Blago of his means to appoint a successor to the senate seat, perhaps sparking Lisa Madigan’s pathetic attempt to undermine the rule of law by asking the Ill. Supreme Court to declare Blago “disabled” because of the as-of-yet un-indicted charges that are pending against him… (that embarrassing effort was dismissed by the court without dignifying it with comment.)
Gibbs also said Obama urged Illinois lawmakers to strip Blagojevich of his ability to appoint a Senate successor to Obama by voting to establish a special senatorial election next year…
President elect Obama also commented on the Paulson bailout deal and the Big three Auto-industry deal that had massive mandatory concessions in both benefits and pay for the workers, with very little oversight on executives.
Several Democrats in the Congressional Black Caucus said they were persuaded to support the bill by Mr. Obama. Representatives Elijah E. Cummings and Donna F. Edwards, both of Maryland, said they had each spoken to Mr. Obama who helped persuade them to support the bill, …
President-elect Barack Obama said today he hoped a congressional deal to bail out the struggling U.S. auto industry could be reached this week, saying again the Detroit 3 automakers could not be allowed to collapse.
Obama commented on the Mumbai attacks…
President-Elect Obama strongly condemns today’s terrorist attacks in Mumbai, and his thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their families, and the people of India. These coordinated attacks on innocent civilians demonstrate the grave and urgent threat of terrorism.
Obama has pressed for a trillion dollar stimulus package which will probably end up being nothing more than the funding for the NAFTA Superhighway; he has already endorsed a continued stepped up operation in Afghanistan, and suggested a course of covert action in Pakistan as well.
All of these issues seemed important enough for president elect Obama to issue policy statement about… all of them, he made a public stand on, WHILE PRESIDENT BUSH WAS STILL IN OFFICE.
And yet, president elect Obama now claims that he can’t comment on the Gaza situation… because there can’t be two presidents at one time? And you people buy that load of crap?
This is what your “progressive” president elect is ignoring after he worked to help secure billions of taxpayer dollars for Big Banking to steal…
This is what Obama turns his back on while openly working to send more troops into harms way in the illegal occupation of Afghanistan…
This is what “Change” ignores while he secretly tries to get an elected governor kicked out of office for trumped up charges…
Barack Obama is bought and paid for.
He sold the highest office in the land, just like Clinton and the Bushs before him.
This kind of complicity will find it’s way back to these united states, and when it does, I can only pray to god that the last thing you Obama-apologists know is the hatred that someone’s callous indifference to the suffering of your loved ones can bring.
Maybe then you will get off your ass and your self absorbed “Changelust” and demand your “progressive” leader take a stand against the real horrors of this world rather than just spouting out platitudes and outright lies in support of a rogue regime that does this to innocent civilians.
The leadership (if you wish to call it that) stands alone in the world supporting this criminal action.
You “progressives” hold the key to forcing a change in that behavior, yet you are silent. You just regurgitate the talking point that there can’t be ‘two presidents at the same time”.
Shame on you. You run some stories and post some pictures, and “feel” pity in your hearts, as you know deep down you are tacitly supporting the silence of the one man on the planet, who’s words could create immense change in the course of these events.
I am sickened by the fact that I ever had anything to do with any of you. You are an embarrassment to this nation and the liberal traditions of it’s past.
When you exalt over the moment of Obama’s coronation, and he and his PR campaign piss all over the best of our history by allowing him to put his hand on a bible once owned by Lincoln, I want you to remember this face and the hundreds that will be added to list from now till then.
I want you to remember the price others have paid so this bastard Obama can pretend to be the next JFK or Lincoln (like Bush pretended to be a cowboy), while he in fact is the next NAFTA-Clinton and Terrorism-Bush…
I hope there is one single moment of clarity in your bullshit little meaningless Obamacoffeemug holding, Obamateeshirt wearing, empty little lives, when you see for the first time what self-absorbed, inhuman morons you have been.
So if you continue to support this bastard, Obama, after all this, stay the fuck off my site.
And stop calling yourself “progressive” or “liberal” because you don’t know the meaning of the words. You are no less selfish than the idiots who blogged and voted for Bush 43 in 2004. That is a fact. Deal with it.
