The Real McCain, Part One: Not a Fighter Pilot

When those “progressives” of you out there refuse to entertain the notion that John McCain’s service record is far from “heroic”, I want you to understand just who it is you are helping. I will give you a hint; it isn’t Obama.

This is a mash-up of the corporate media’s vicious and unwarranted attacks on Gen. Wesley Clark for his comments on John McCain’s military record. When the corporation’s mouth-pieces all launch simultaneously in the same direction, from CNN to Fox News, with nearly the exact same talking-points, you can pretty much bet that there may be something more to the story that they don’t want people to look at. So that is what we are going to do now.

NCMR Censors Naomi Klein Speech

I month ago I watched Bill Moyers speech at the National Conference on Media Reform (NCMR) and I posted it here. As I was looking thru the line-up of speakers that presented for this conference, Naomi Klein’s name jumped out at me. Since reading her book “The Shock Doctrine: The Rise of Disaster Capitalism” I have been a huge fan of her work. She is one of the most important political/economic writers of our time.

Well, I hunted and hunted for the video or their write-up of Naomi’s speech, but alas, I couldn’t find it on their site, or anywhere. So I gave up, put it out of my mind and went on. Well, come to find out, there was a video of her speech made by the NCMR just like all the rest of the speakers. But the NCMR and “Free Press” hid it. They never, to this day, put Naomi Klein’s speech on their site with all the rest.

Why? Because she talked about the need for us liberals and progressives to hold our candidates to the commitments they promised us.
