New Cash-Cow, Same as the Old Cash-Cow

Here they are, hard at work; you’re tax dollars. Millions and millions of them.

That’s right; while 47 million Americans go without insurance and 10s of millions more working class families try to decide between paying for a treatment that their insurance company won’t cover, and the generic brand or the name brand Frosted Flakes, here we have these dedicated Public Servants scouring the internet to protect us from the inevitable threats of “terrorism”. Just like “Team B” in the Golden Days of the Cold War and “The Office of Special Plans” before the War with Iraq, our loyal “operatives” are screening through the “intel” to prevent the looming terrorist attacks.

Of course, the only problem is, that both Team B and the Office of Special Plans, had a direct order, to create these threats from existing intel that had already been determined harmless by our regular full-time intelligence operatives. And if you look at the names of some of the people involved, you start to see some of them repeated over and over again.

Now there are some who would say these bastards who spend all this time creating the new boogie-man are doing it for some idiological belief system.

That’s a lie devised to to make people who have enough sense to read the writing on the wall give these people at least some credit. The credit we would give zealots who think of themselves as Patriots.

No, the truth is grounded in the harsh realities of pure capitalism. At times of War, even a Cold-War, there is allot of money to be made. Allot. And if they can convince America and the NYT that the shadowy enemy is always lurking, unseen except by these hidden away operatives and their computers, then this Cold War, and their paychecks and access to unlimited resources, can literally go on forever. 

There was an article that I had put up about a month ago that detailed the Office of Homeland Security scamsand how they were rigging up some “homegrown” terrorists to justify their hefty salaries. I”ll put that back up, just for the fun of it. Just so you can see how there have already been several cases where these “heros” have already been caught “priming the pot” so to speak, in the “War on Terror”.

My Question: Are these guys reading Al Jazeera (don’t get me wrong. Al Jazeera is a great site and not a “terrorist organization” at all), or TruthOut and Crooks and Liars? Are they browsing the arabic language sites, or MoveOn.org and AfterDowningStreet? Are they looking for extremists from some dark corner of the Muslim Brotherhood or are they reading emails from the next Elliot Spitzer? 

Big Brother is watching, people. And the NYT wants us to be just fine with that. If you are simple enough to be ok with that, then 2+2 does equal 5. Or at least you can see the possibility that it equals 5, can’t you?

For the rest of us… we had better figure out a way to expose this world-class pyramid scheme before that guy in the middle of the picture makes it to the corner office by claiming the American Everyman is a terrorist organization under HR 1955.
