In the vein of the anthrax attacks that helped pass the Patriot Act, when they were being held up, now, the S 1959 “Violent Radicalization and Homegrown Terrorism Prevention Act of 2007″, is JUST BY CHANCE, getting the same kind of LUCKY support while it languishes in the Senate and while people like me and many others question it’s constitutionality!
That’s right, a “homegrown terrorist” has strapped what he said was a bomb to his chest and decided to go to a Hillary Campaign headquarters in Rochester, New Hampshire.
Apparently he took hostages, and let them 4 of them go. They are not sure if there is still a woman inside or not.
MSNBC reports “The source, who was not identified, told Williams the man went to a local hardware store earlier Friday, where he apparently bought some of the material he wore into the campaign office. The man apparently bought road flares, according to a local resident who spoke with a relative of the man.”
This is one of 16 Hillary campaign offices in the state, and Hillary was in DC to give a speech to the DNC.
So this guy, goes and buys “road flares” and duct tapes them to his body and walks into the Clinton Campaign Headquarters of some little 30,000 person town, and then lets everyone go? Why, you ask?
Well, as it just so happens, there is also a video of someone who knew the man, on MSNBC, here.
And during the video, this kid says he didn’t really know the man but he knew his kid. But he seemed ok to him, when he met him…”
Now get ready for the punchline… get ready!
The kids says ” He was ok when I met him… but I’ve been told stories around here…that he just had issues. Ah… just complained of “CONSPIRACY THEORIES” …and things of that nature.”
When he is asked if the guy lives in town he responds “Yes sir..” then he looks over his shoulder and says “… I believe so. I’m not sure.”
Didn’t he say he was friends with the man’s kid? Had met him and he seemed ok to him?
So, a week after Mark Weitzman proclaims before a congressional subcommittee that the HR 1955 bill would be needed to track and deal with “homegrown terrorists” and just two days after Campell Brown labels MoveOn.org “American Insurgents”, the first “real” terrorist related attack in this country since the anthrax took place.
And it is pulled off by a “homegrown terrorist” conspiracy theorist! Wow. Now that is timing huh?
anthrax timing ;
September 17 or September 18 2001: Attack #1 — Five anthrax letters are believed to have been mailed around this time (Trenton, New Jersey postmark dated September 18), targeting news media: ABC News, CBS News, NBC News and the New York Post,
October 6–October 9 2001: Attack #2 — Some time within this range, two more anthrax letters are mailed (Trenton, New Jersey postmark dated October 9), targeting Senators Daschle and Leahy.
Patriot Act Passed:
The USA PATRIOT Act is an Act of Congress which President George W. Bush signed into law on October 26, 2001. Its full name is an acronym: Uniting and Strengthening America by Providing Appropriate Tools Required to Intercept and Obstruct Terrorism Act of 2001.

I’m sad to say it wouldn’t surprise me in the least…
maybe since he was always bringing up possible conspiracies, the feds recruited him and said ‘listen, we can put your mind at ease, and tell you which ones are true and which ones aren’t, you just have to do us this favor’
In case you didn’t know this article was “published” on Crimes and Corruption today…
http://mparent7777-2.blogspot.com/2007/12/bomb-wearing-homegrown-terrorist-is-to.html
No, Cabal911, i hadn’t seen that yet. I am very glad you pointed it out. Thank you.
Willy,
What happened at Hillary’s campaign office does not constitute ‘homegrown terrorism.’ In fact, the article doesn’t even use those terms. this is a homegrown terrorist and this is the type of institution that the Commission will be studying.
Relax man.
You know, it’s funny Konservo. Right now, you can say that this or that is or is not going to be misused by this legislation, but, the people that wrote our Constitution didn’t really see it that way.
They felt, that you shouldn’t give Presidents or Leaders in general any leeway to misuse the law. They built in a system of checks and balances and a way for us to ultimately reward or punish our elected officials come election day.
But now, bit by bit, lawmakers are writing continuously ambiguous laws that should give us all pause.
The list is long these days and if you haven’t been paying attention over the past 7 years, I certainly can’t help you now.
But you are smarter and more politically savvy than that Konservo. You know what “Acts” I am speaking about.
Look at what this administration did with the politicizing of the US Attorney’s Offices. Do you want the next democratic President to have the same kind of free-hand to do that? Or maybe, a Muslim President who might start thinking all “Pro-Life Activists” are potential terrorists?
The point is, supporting the kind of speech you agree with, isn’t what the right to free speech is about.
If you believe in our freedoms, if you cherish them as you do your own life, then you must support all speech and the right that another has to utter it; in public and out loud. Not in hushed whispers or hidden under secret trap doors. For that is a sure fire way to create terrorists; To manufacture real “homegrown terrorists”.
The ideals that our constitution laid out, do not foster hatred. No one “hates us for our freedom”. There are many that hate how certain administrations have oppressed freedoms both here and abroad. That is true. But is it wise to create yet another form of “homegrown oppression” to fix that problem? If peaceful informed dissent is rising within this country, do you really think the best way to address it is yet another agency to monitor and surprises their rights? Is that the American Way?
Aren’t we more clever than that? Aren’t we a better people than that?
So why aren’t our leaders reflecting that right now? What is really their intention with this bill?
And don’t Try that “Islamic School” smokescreen here; you may fool your ditto-head buddies with that, but not me. You haven’t fooled me yet in the year I have been knocking heads with you.
Were you to be on a beach and hear cries for help from some kid in a riptide…. you wouldn’t look around to see the nationality of it’s parents. You’re not the type. Trust me, I know those guys. you just aren’t one of ‘em.
Nor would the people on a beach in Chalus if you were vacationing on the Caspian Sea and your child were in trouble.(believe it or not, chances are good you will find someone who would mate with you. But it will cost you a wedding ring and a cell phone or two, I bet.)
I’ll relax when either I have reason to trust my government again, or when they restore our constitution and abide by our laws.
Till then, I would suggest you question authority abit more often. It is, after all, how we became the United States in the first place.
And Konservo, you saw that video I linked to in the article. You heard that man say specificly that they were looking at the “conspiracy theory sites”. He even mentioned them before the Jihad sites…
and the presentation they prepared showed a page from Architects and Engineers for 911 Truth. A group of professionals simply calling for a renewed investigation because the physics of the “official story” don’t make sense.
http://www.ae911truth.org/
They support no crazy theories nor do they attempt to blame anyone or profess to know who did it.
All they are calling for is a complete, independant, investigation…
…. and they were the first group mentioned in the presentation. So, no, Konservo, they are not just going after “Islamic Schools”. As if that would be ok either.
Now, why would I be concerned about them looking at that site as potential “homegrown terrorists”?
1. It’s unconstitutional. We have addressed that.
2. I’m have signed onto that sight because I fully support their efforts and their research (in what limited capasity I have to understand it).
I am one of their “homegrown terrorists” Konservo.
Do you think I am dangerous to the American Way of Life? Am I a terrorist?
No, you’re not.
Did you follow the links that I provided above? Those are the homegrown terrorists.
The first describes a Northern Virginia man who was indoctrinated with Islamist ideology, he subsequently went to Saudi Arabia, joined al-Qaida, and was busted for plotting to kill the President.
The second link that I provided above, refers to a school (about 10min from my home) called ISA. It’s Saudi funded and has raised students who have become militant Islamists. The ISA school is refusing to allow public access to their text books and curiculum, as there have been reports that bigotry is being taught in these fundamental Islamic schools.
Do you know who Ismail Royer is? He was ‘homegrown’ and decided to join the mujahideen in Bosnia and was busted trying to aid Islamofascists in Afghanistan.
Willy, no offense, but don’t flatter yourself, you’re not going to be the target of investigation so long as you don’t propagate violent ideology (in other words, as long as you don’t advocate violence).
Then good. I take it you will call Mark Weitzman and let him know that they have nothing to fear from me, even though my name is on one of the sites he featured in his presentation to Congress.
I wonder if that School you are refering to was mentioned in Mr. Weitzman’s presentation, or are you just interpreting what you think they will be focusing on? Because you should know by now, that doing that with this administration can really leave one open for all kinds of surprises.

Another example of the Shock Doctrine, maybe not as extreme as blowing up the World Trade Center, but it leaves the door open for the passing of more repressive laws. And Americans simply continue their Christmas Shopping like drugged zombies, a Brave New World indeed.
we need to be aware of hr 1955, s 1959 and how the ricin story may be the tipping point…
